After a while Natanie left Madina, she began to have so many thoughts like having a real family. Suddenly, she heard someone knock. She walked slowly to the door to know who it was and then, to her greatest surprise… “Kingsley?” She muttered. Kingsley's eyes glittered with satisfaction. “Madina.” She blinked severally in obvious shock before she was able to move away from the entrance to allow him in. She walked back inside as he entered her space and shut the door behind him. “Madina.” He breathed out. But her back was towards him almost refusing to look at him. She felt a mix of emotions flooding into her heart. He was her past, she had refused to let her thoughts brood on him even though he was her daughter's father. She had refused to go back to her past ever since she left that day. Kingsley was so happy to see his wife again. Heavens! His emotions were all over the place. After years of searching for her, he didn't expect she'd be this silent towards him. “Madina.” He called again. Then the inevitable happened, he'd brought back and reminded her of the pain and loneliness of losing Olivia. Her daughter. Her world. Her life. “Why are you here?” She asked, still refusing to look at him. He lowered his head and stared at his feet in defeat. No doubt he was exhausted and he was trying to pull himself right back together. “Right from the day you left, right from the day you walked away, I still remember how unbearable it was for me when I discovered you're gone..”He paused. “It's been lonely, painful, agonizing and…” He continued as she turned to face him. “Empty.” He said. “Even more unbearable than the loss of our child.” He added. And without it, tears rolled down her cheeks and he was left to stare into her wet eyes. Kingsley nodded slowly. “I can understand you left because you couldn't contain the fact that we lost something precious to us, but what about me? You disappeared without a trace and it's been nerve wrecking trying to find you.” He paused for a moment. “It's been 26 years Madina, and even though that it's all in the past, I've always wanted to tell you that together, we can get past it and that together? We can finally grieve and move on from the shackles of pain that bound us.” He said softly as every word he said pierced deep into her heart and caused her tears to multiple. With uncertainty, he moved closer to her and brought her eyes up to look at him. “Over years…” He trailed off. His own emotions choked him. He continued. “Over years of searching for you, and finally been able to stand so close and in front of you..” He gave her a slight nod. “And after all that has happened, all I want to say is that I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Madina that you had to go through all of that alone.” Madina already looked pale from crying and even though she might not admit it, she'd missed him so much. She thought about nothing but to embrace him and doing that literally made her feel like she was accepting her past all over again. But here he is, in front of her and she suddenly moved to embrace him. Then she felt like her missing puzzles were finally coming together. She'd missed her husband, so much. “I'm sorry too.” She mumbled under her breath. “For everything.” He sighed in relief and held her tightly to himself. He also resolved in his heart that never again was he going to lose her or Natanie ever again! After a long while, both couples are much calmer. Then Kingsley looked at his wife for a moment. He deeply contemplated on whether or not he would open up to Madina about their daughter. He sipped his drink slowly and threw scarce glances at her. How would he begin? How would he be able to tell her about their daughter? And the situation at hand that surrounds it? Madina stared into her drink. She barely even took a sip of it. She also contemplated how she would tell him about her life here at the Dance Palace. How she had been, the people she's met and how she has been able to cope with everything so far. And most importantly, she contemplated on how to tell him that she has been able to put her past behind her with the help of Natanie's company. But she felt a strange thrill about opening up about the connection she feels with her and the fact that could now swear she's been able to get past everything with the help of that. “Madina.” He spoke softly. “Yes?” She looked up at him. She put away the glasses of wine they had shared together. “I need to tell you something.” He blinked severally, trying to weigh his options. “What is it about?” She asked fully concentrated on him. Kingsley slowly took her hands in his and looked into her eyes. He swallowed the lump in his throat. “Olivia is…” She pulled her hands away from him at the mention of Olivia. “No, Kingsley. Don't say anything about her. She's gone and gone forever. Nothing is going to bring her back.” She said and looked away from him. She sounded like she was assuring him and bringing him to reality once again, but in the real sense, she looked like she was definitely the one that needed the assurance. She sighed. “No Madina, I was going to tell you that Olivia… is alive.” Kingsley said thickly. Her head snapped to look at him. “What?” She flinched away from him.
