She looked up into his eyes. “Besides, what is it to you if I go ahead and marry him, when it doesn't matter to you?” He breathed out softly. “There's a part of you that interests me.” He spoke confidently as her insides did a flip-flop. She liked the sound of that. “Do tell _” she heard herself say. It felt like she was beginning to lose her mind. “How much does that part interests you?” A strange kind of yearning overtook her and heck, she couldn't tell right from wrong. What is this feeling? What was happening to her? Why is she finding it so hard to breathe? Her guts were frustrated from battling control, a strange longing and those inane boundaries. She's obviously too far gone. Instead of snapping out of his hypnotizing gaze and taking a couple steps back away from him, she sunk further into her daze. Then again, the only thing preventing them from clutching in each other's embrace, remained that impulsive little space that spoke boundaries and policed regrets. “I believe words cannot express.” He mumbled as he battled to pull away from her before he would lean in to claim her lips in his. He found it so hard to pull away but he definitely did, breaking the strange desires that consumed his thoughts. He pulled away much to her disadvantage. She bit her lower lip to conceal her frown. Maybe it's a very necessary wakeup call, and one she didn't find amusing in the least. Pulling away from her broke his heart but he decided to face reality that she was another man's woman. He'd keep and maintain his boundaries. “Ugh _ from now onwards, please be careful of what you do, the actions you take and the decisions you make.” He said trying to shake off the awkwardness he felt. She wanted to question his statement but she was wallowing in the pool of her desires. “Okay.” She said slowly and tucked her hair behind her ears. The way she stared at him made him weak on his resolve to stay away. He approached her slowly once again and she froze when he reached for her face with his hands. His palms caressed her cheeks as he looked deep into her eyes. She was melting into his touch. He brought his gaze down to her lips and then back into her eyes. “Think about it.” He said in a whisper before he pulled away from her and headed back to the building. She sighed heavily, releasing the tension that crept up her pores. This man is driving her nuts and would definitely be the end of her. ** Dave was seated in his office and he leaned up against his table. He barely managed to concentrate thinking about the way Natanie had looked at him and all she said, including the fact that Isabelle probably has feelings for him. Then again, he imagined he had kissed Natanie and held her so close to him. He closed his eyes and was almost lost in his thoughts when he heard a knock on his door. Soon, the door opened and Isabelle strolled in. She slowly approached his table. “Hi.” She said smiling at him. “Hi Isabelle.” He said and gestured for her to sit. “Please sit.” “Thank you.” “Is everything alright?” He asked. “Yes, why?” “Nothing, I was just wondering if you aren't friends with Natanie anymore.” He reclined into his chair. She eyed him and wondered why he was talking about her. She rolled her eyes. “Of course we are still friends, what makes you think we're not?” She asked him and he just shrugged. “It just doesn't look like it anymore.” He said as she awkwardly adjusted herself in her seat. “You two are such great friends that nothing should come between the both of you.” He added. “You're right, nothing has been a threat to our friendship before but things are different now.” She sucked her teeth. “This time around, I won't be the sour loser and I certainly won't let her mess with the most important thing to me.” “And what could be the most important thing if not for the love of friendship you both share?” He furrowed his brows at her. She scoffed and stood up from her seat. Then she paced slowly round his office and finally brought her gaze to meet his. “You.” She blurted as Dave raised a brow. “I will not allow her to take you away from me.” She added confidently. “You can't be serious, I wasn't yours to begin with and what, you pick me over your best friend?” He stared intently. She scoffed. “She's not important to me, you are. I hate it when you two lurk around each other.” She raised her voice. He pinched his nose. “You must be out of your mind Isabelle, it doesn't make sense!” She bit her lip. “It does.” She spoke without a single care in the world. Isabelle moved closer to Dave and leaned over, coming face to face with him. “I love you Dave and I can't pretend that it doesn't drive me nuts to watch or see you with her! I want you and you're mine and no one else's.” He leaned in a bit still keeping his space. “It won't take a genius to know that you are really twisted and fucked up. I'm not yours and I won't be, not now, not ever.” He said thickly as she frowned at him. Then she shook her head. “I'm pretty sure you don't mean that. I know I mean a lot to you than you care to admit.” He ignored her statement. “It'll be best if you leave my office right now.” He looked away from her and grabbed some papers. She became furious but tried to control her emotions. She awkwardly adjusted herself and blinked back something in her eyes. “You're mine and I won't let her take you away from me.” She spoke and grabbed her bag and then scurried out of his office. He just stared after her and sighed heavily.
