Natanie seemed to have recovered from her tuff, with the help of Sharon, Madina and Dave. Isabelle was out of the question. She grew more detached from Natanie and Natanie still couldn't place her finger on it. Fredrick always comes around to apologize to Natanie since they broke up, at the expense of ridiculous excuses which Natanie found quite typical of him. She had to ward him off each time, but when he persists, she would always avoid him. Then there's Isabelle, who always throws herself at Dave whilst making sure she never catches Natanie with him. Natanie understands Isabelle's feelings for Dave as well as her greed, so she always keeps her distance away from him as much as possible. Dave tried to understand Natanie's position for always pushing him away and soon, just for the purpose of distraction, he accepted Isabelle's feelings for him and resolves to date her. Within a week, Isabelle's relationship with the director spread like wildfire in the Dance Palace despite Dave's suggestion to keep it a secret. Natanie probed herself to be happy for Isabelle in spite of her growing feelings for Dave. Trustfully, it was hard to watch them together but accepted the fact that Dave was good for her. Dave still kept in touch with Harnik and Harnik was yet to disclose the fact that he had traced his files and found out that not only is Natanie not Cathera's daughter, but she was declared stolen years ago by a man named Kingsley Pain and a search for his daughter had lingered on for that long and even recent articles still confirmed his search. Harnik tried reaching Dave on his phone but he couldn't. So he journeyed to the Dance Palace making sure to avoid Fred and Cathera in his ordeal. When he got there, he met Sharon who confronted him. “Who are you and what are you doing here?” Sharon asked with her hands folded up against her chest. Harnik furrowed his brows and looked up at the engraved writing at the top of the building that confirms he's at the right place. “My name's Harnik. Is Dave in?” He scratched his head awkwardly. She is quite a beauty, he thought. “Harnik?” She scoffed. “That's a weird name, never heard it before.” He slightly nodded. “I get that a lot but well, now you have. So I wanna see Dave, is he in?” She unfolded her hands and sighed. “No, the director is not in at the moment.” “Ohh.” He mumbled under his breath. “You could reach his phone if it's urgent.” She suggested but he waved it off. “I already did, but I couldn't get a hold of him, that's why I decided to come over.” He clarified. “I see.” She said as they both locked eyes. Sharon quickly snapped out of her daze. “Ugh… I wish I can tell you to wait for him at the lounge but I'm not sure if he'd return today.” She explained. “Ohh it's fine, I'll just _ probably come back some other time.” He said softly and found himself smiling at her. She stifled her smile and waved him off. “Okay.” She hurriedly strolled back inside the building and Harnik bit his lip and went away. Whilst walking away, he punched a quick text into his phone for Dave to come over to his apartment when he isn't so busy. ** Ever since Natanie left home, Cathera has been alone with absolutely no one. She barely sees Fred anymore because they could barely see eye to eye. But Cathera could deny the fact that she misses Natanie a whole lot. She stared dimly at every corner of the house she had played with Natanie when she was younger. Then she thought she could have gotten rid of Madina back when she had the chance. Now, she couldn't bare the thought of Natanie ever uniting with Madina. She dreaded the thought of it. ** The night had grown older, and Isabelle and Dave were out talking. He mostly pretended to hear her speak. Then when he caught a sight of Sharon and Natanie talking, and on hearing their short laugh in between, made his lips curve into a smile. In his eyes, Natanie looked carefree and comfortable without him by her side and as beautiful as it looks, he still yearns to be by her side. No doubt, he has fallen deeply in love with her. Then again, there's the thought that she was happy for Isabelle and him together and for a pretty long list of reasons, it brought a frown to his face. Then he brought back his gaze on Isabelle who continued blabbing on and on in his ears of which he paid little or no attention to. He made to steal a glimpse of her again and his eyes met hers. Damn, she was already staring at him. Her heart pounded desperately against her chest at the sight of him. She wondered why she found it so hard to look away from him. He also wondered why she didn't bother to look away and why her eyes were asking questions. How would he reveal to her what he had found out from Harnik? He craves to see her smile and definitely hates to be the bearer of bad news. However, focusing on Natanie made it look like Isabelle never existed. Since his gaze locked on hers, their eyes were desperately searching and asking questions. Questions that was left to burn on the tables of insignificance. When Natanie looked away from him and brought her eyes back to Sharon, she felt a pang weigh on her heart. She still couldn't describe the emptiness that clung unto her heart and the strange longing that crept into her pores everytime Dave was around, and even when he was no where in sight, her thoughts spiral and her imaginations are messed up. Then she thought that maybe things were better off left the way they were.
