While Patresiah was making a TikTok video, dancing with Zhian, her cousin called her.
"Hi, Patresiah! Heyyyy wanna come watch the basketball game with us at the barangay hall!" her cousin, Brian called out.
"Can I? ask permission to my Mom and Dad first so I can go with you guys" Patresiah replied.
"Yeah, go tell her parents kuyah Brian, We'll wait for you," said of  her another cousin, larah
Brian, Patresiah's cousin , overheard their conversation. "Ok, I'll ask your parents for you so you can come with us," he said while smiling. 
"If they say yes" patresiah responded to him.
"Ingna kuyah na pakuyugon nato, ingna ras tita uli rata pagka human sa dula." Yelled of her little cousin name Paulo.
"What did you just say I didn't understand" patresiah ask him wondering what's that all about.
"Unsa daw ateh?" Paulo ask wondering what Patresiah said.
" Hahahah ana Siya say geh sulti nmo wla Siya kasabot" Larah response to him.
"Who among you knows English besides Kuya Brian and you?" Patresiah asked.
Larah replied, "Just us then Pea. My other cousins are still in elementary. They wouldn't understand you. Most people here who know English are in high school."
"Who's Pea" she ask.
"Me!" A little girl replied 
"Your cute you understand me? She ask her
"Yeah" she responded.
"Hmm that's much better, so Larah you all know Tagalog?" Patresiah asked again.
"Not really coz we use our mother tongue," Larah answered, stroking Zhian's fur while Patresiah held him.
"So you learned both English and Tagalog in high school?" Patresiah asked.
"Yes, that's right," Larah replied.
"While Patresiah and Larah were talking, her five younger cousins came over and started petting Zhian.
"What does he eat?" one of her younger cousin name Pea asked.
"Dog food, sometimes she also eats whatever I eat," Patresiah answered.
"he's so cute! You two look beautiful," they all said together.
"Thanks! Do you like him?" Patresiah asked.
"Yes, so much! he's so beautiful and kind" Pea replied.
"Can I hold her?" 
"No, you might drop him. There are a lot of stray dogs around, and they might bite him," Patresiah said. "You can hold him later when we get back to mom's room, it's safer there."
On the other side, Patresiah's parents agreed, but reminded Brian to stay close to patresiah. "Make sure she don't get lost, Brian. She's not familiar with here yet," his tita said.
"Don't worry, tah. I'll keep an eye on her," Brian assured. "Thanks, Tah!" He added .
After he ask permission he out to tell patresiah that her mom agreed.
"Your mom said yes," Brian said with a smile.
"What about Dad?" Patresiah asked him.
"He's asleep. Your mom said it's okay, but she  just remind me to watch out for you, because you are not familiar in here,"  Brian said.
"Ok then I'll be the Apple of your eyes?" Patresiah asking while laughing.
"Apple?" Brian confused because the word are just so hard for him to understand.
"Yup! You guys wait me here, just a minute." She said.
"Ok" Larah  responded.
Patresiah quickly changed Zhian, into his clothes and boots. "I'm ready to go!" she announced at her mom.
"Just don't put her down, okay? There are a lot of stray dogs in the barangay honey," her mom warned.
"Okay mom,I won't," Patresiah promised.
"Good, make sure you come home before it gets dark," her mom said.
"Yes, Mommy. I love you. Don't worry, I'll message you when we get there," Patresiah replied.
"Okay, be careful, honey. Enjoy!"
"Thanks, Mom. Love you," Patresiah said, giving her a kiss. "Just tell Dad I'm out with them."
"Yes, no worries," her mom responded while applying skincare at her face. "Did you put sun screen it's too hot in there" she added.
"Oh gosh I forgot, may I have some?" She asked 
"No take your's it's not allowed for your skin" her mom said.
"Fineeee" she said then put sun screen on her face and body.
"Bye Daddy," Patresiah said to her sleeping dad, giving him a kiss before leaving. "By mom she added while taking up patresiah.
"The backpack for Patresiah is in the back of the car. Take it with you," her mom said.
"No, Mom, I want to just carry him. I'm leaving now. Love you!" Patresiah said.
As they were about to leave, Brian and Sarah were ready to hop on their chariot. "Wait, I don't like riding that I'm scared," Patresiah said. "Let's use Dad's car." She added 
"You know how to drive?" Larah asked, surprised.
"Yup, I learned when I was 10," Patresiah said with a smile. Her cousins were amazed.
"Kuyah Brian, tell Mom were using the car and get the car's key plss," Patresiah instructed.
"Won't she get mad? She might scold me," Brian said.
"No, just go ahead," Patresiah said.
"You said so, huh? Wait here for me, I'll be back in a second," Brian said, running back inside.
Brian went inside and got the keys from his tita. "Tell patresiah that don't forget to lock the door, and don't park too far away," his tita reminded.
"Oo Tah salamat " he said .
"Ayaw byaeh ninyo Siya h, if you will lagut ka sa dad niya." Her titah reminded.
"Oo Tah promise sag hapit na nahurot akng English niya tas Gina g English pako nmo hyts may nlng ni bisaya k hahaha " Brian said while laughing.
"Study hard briannnnnn" she said.
"Hyts sigeh Tah Alis na kami thanks ulit. He said then leave.
Brian handed Patresiah the keys. She unlocked the car, started the engine, and her cousins piled in. "Let's go!" she said, and they drove off to the barangay while Brian setting next to her and Zhian was sitting on Patresiah's lap because she didn't like Brian.
"Brian, just tell me where to go," Patresiah said while she's was driving.
"Okay, just keep going straight. I'll tell you when to turn" Brian replied.
"Are there a lot of people there?" Patresiah asked Brian.
"Yeah, a ton coz It's Christmas Eve tomorrow," Brian answered.
"That's not nice , hmmm we should buy some food later while we're watching basketball," Patresiah said.
"Sure, I'll take you wherever you want to buy food. I can help you with everything," Brian said to Patresiah.
