Chapter 11 I forgot his name (Patresiah's love at first sight)

When Patresiah arrived home, she was out of breath and went straight to their room, trying to avoid her mom before she notice coz she knew her mom will get angry at her because she out without permission just to scape a noisy visitors.
To get rid of her sweat, she and Zhian took a shower. After getting out, she wrapped Zhian in a towel and put her on a chair while she changed clothes.
"Good thing we didn't get into trouble, Zhian. I wish I had just stayed in the room like I wanted to earlier," she said, sighing.
"Yeah, we were walking around. Turns out some of the kids here are not so nice. Good thing we didn't wander too far before that happened," she said while changing her clothes.
After changing, she used a hairdryer to dry Zhian's fur.
While she was blow-drying Zhian's fur, she played music so she couldn't hear the noice in outside . Just then, someone knocked on the door. She opened it.
"Hi Mom, I thought it was someone else," she said.
"Why did you suddenly disappear downstairs? Your dad and I were looking for you," her mom said, concerned.
"You guys were busy, so I just came up here and took a shower with Zhian," she replied.
"I thought you go somewhere . Okay, I'm going downstairs. Aren't you coming?" her mom asked.
"No, Mom. It's too noisy downstairs. I'll just stay here. Tell Dad I'm here."
"Okay, if you need anything and don't want to come down just call me. I'll bring my phone with me."
"Yes, Mom," she said, finishing up blow-drying Zhian's fur.
After finishing with Zhian, she sanitized her hands and started her skincare routine.
After her skincare routine, she dressed Zhian then him put  on the bed and said, "Good thing we have a personal reef. I don't have to go outside."
She get a cace from the refrigerator and take a slice for Zhian and for herself.
After they finished eating, she wiped Zhian's mouth and they both settled down in bed.
While lying in bed, she couldn't stop thinking about the guy who had helped her. She tried to remember the person's name, but she couldn't even remember.
She wasn't sure if she was in love or just wanted to get to know the person better. But she wasn't sure if they would ever see each other again.
Then it hit her, why she felt so different. She kept seeing the guy's smile in her mind.
She wished she could see him again before they went back to New Zealand, but she had no idea how.
She didn't know if he was from Dawis or just a visitor like her.
She sighed sadly, "It's better to forget everything before I fall for someone I don't even know".
"There are plenty of guys in New Zealand who like me, why should I chase after someone I don't even know where he's from or what he's like?" she said to herself.
As she was feeling down, someone knocked on the door. She called out, "Who is it?"

"It's us, your dad, open up," her mom yelled back.
"Hi Dad, Mom, are you guys done downstairs?" she asked.

"Yeah, your dad and I left first because he was getting hot down there," her mom replied.
"Same," she said and went back to her bed.

"You didn't say goodbye to me earlier, honey," her dad said.

"you guys were busy, Dad. I just went upstairs because it was so noisy downstairs," she replied.

"Yeah, it was really noisy, they were like birds," her dad agreed.
"Hahaha, you guys," her mom said.
Her dad lay down on the bed, and her mom sighed and they started talking. Patresiah just started playing games, pretending she hadn't go outside earlier.
A few minutes later, her parents fell asleep. While she was playing video games, she was still thinking about the guy who saved her.
She thought, "I hope we see each other again. And I hope I can see him before we leave."
"He was so handsome, even in the dark. Maybe he's half Filipino like me, too. He was so simple, not like the other guys. But he was handsome and cute, gosh," her mind gushed.
"Where is he from? Ugh, I want to meet him, but how? My mom is so strict," she thought, frustrated.
"What should I do? Is this love? I've never been this excited before. Why do I feel this way?" she wondered, her heart pounding.
"This is what it feels like to be in love, huh? Gosh! Self, please don't fall in love. You'll be dead if Mom finds out," she pleaded with herself, trying to control her emotions.
She buried her face in her pillow, overwhelmed by the sudden rush of feelings. To avoid her parents noticing her flushed cheeks, she just closed her eyes and tried to sleep.
The image of the stranger lingered in her mind, but she forced herself to sleep, hoping to escape the thoughts that were making her heart race.
