43: Chapter Forty-Three
I immediately covered my mouth with my hands to avoid myself screaming. I took deep breathes to calm myself down. Stay focused Savannah! Calm down and face what’s in front of you. This is not the right time for you to panic and be a scaredy cat! My photos are scattered on every wall and corner of the room! Some photos are from my photoshoots or profiles, some are printed photos from my social media posts and some are candid photos. He’s been stalking me? This room looks like a cult! This is a room I see on movies when the main character has a stalker who’s obsessed with her! Obsessed? Wait a minute. I remember what I read on doctor Mavis’s medical report. ‘He liked me, no, he was obsessed with me. I thought he was a friend that could be trusted, but I was wrong. He was crazy! He was such a great pretender. A psychopath.’ Jackson was obsessed with me? It makes sense if he’s really the one who attempted to rape me. I looked around the room and saw some mannequins, wigs and even sex toys. Oh, hell no, don’t tell me he masturbates while looking at my photos? That’s purely disgusting! I started to get dizzy and my head started hurting. Fragments of memories started to appear in my head. I suddenly heard footsteps and saw Jackson coming down to the basement. “You should have stayed clueless, Savannah.” “You’re a monster!” I said trying to stand up straight. “I was kind off disappointed when they told me that they’ll erase your memory. I kind off wanted for that to stay in your head, forever. But then, like they say,” He slowly takes a step on every word he says. “Curiosity kills a cat.” He tried to grab me but I kicked him on his balls. While he was down, I took the opportunity to run but my headache isn’t helping. Everything around me started spinning and I can’t even walk fucking straight! I managed to get out of the basement. I keep trying to walk straight to the point that I keep bumping on furniture’s and breaking them. My head aches more and my eyes becomes blurry. Suddenly, Jackson grabbed me from behind. He covered my mouth and nose with a scented handkerchief which made me dizzier. It didn’t take too long for me to pass out and completely black out. -- Cameron’s POV I suddenly dropped the glass I was holding. I have a bad feeling about this. I was about to grab the broom and dustpan, when suddenly Savannah’s brothers came in the house. “Savannah is not—” “She’s in danger,” Stefano said. Then, I heard my daughter crying. I grabbed my phone and called my mom to ask her to come over. I went upstairs and carried Via. “She sent us, all three, a message an hour ago that she’s in Jackson’s house.” “I just went to put Via to sleep but when I went back downstairs, she was gone. I was trying to call her but I can’t reach her.” “Wait, wait, let me just ask this question all for once; you don’t have amnesia?” Via is sleeping again so I placed her back to the crib and went outside the room with them. I faced Sylvester to answer his question. “I don’t. I was pretending to have amnesia because Jackson was after me.” “Can we just discuss this in the car? Savannah needs us now.” It didn’t take too long for mom to arrive. As soon as she did, we all went out. “So, Jackson is the culprit?” Skyler asked. “Yes. I used every connection I had in America and found the truth. Jackson was the suspect but then his father, which is a judge, covered it up for him.” “And Jackson figured out that you knew so he went and tried to kill you with the plane crash?” Sylvester asked. “Yes, that’s what happened. That is why I had to pretend to have amnesia to hide from Jackson. I had to do it to protect Savannah and Via.” “And you knew this?” Skyler asked Stefano who was driving. “When we were at the secret room, the day a man confessed to us, I received a message from him. I had to play along to protect Savannah.” “He’s now at Jackson’s house! This is dangerous!” “I still can’t reach her.” I have been planning with Stefano behind Savannah’s back. I thought it would be safe for her if we corner Jackson even before she does but obviously it’s not the case right now. We arrived and saw the gates opened. We immediately scattered to find Savannah. “Babe?! Babe?!” I shout as I run all across the house. Suddenly, we heard Sylvester shouting. “Oh, my goodness! This is—oh, my gosh!” We went to him and saw a basement. We went down and saw the room where Sylvester is. “He is obsessed with Savannah. There are even sex toys in here! He’s a total psychopath and maniac! Is he even a human? “We need to find Savannah!” I said while wondering me eyes in the room. Just by seeing everything in here, I can predict what he could do to my fiancée. We went back to the car and tried to trace Savannah’s location. “Her phone is turned off. I can’t trace her.” “I called the police to investigate this house,” Skyler said. “I called our security team and told them to trace her. We have to find her,” Stefano said. Security, that’s right! I quickly dialed my sister’s, Cassandra, phone. “Cass! Listen to me. Savannah is in danger! You need to find her immediately! Tell the security team to use everyone and everything to search for her. Search every corner of Casterdale. You have to do it fast! Do you understand?” [Okay, I got it. What’s going on?] “I’ll explain everything when I get my fiancée back. Call me immediately if you find anything.” I ended the call and went out of the car. “I’ll use Savannah’s car. Call me when you find her.” I went to her car and we all left to search for her. Savannah, please wait for me. I’ll come and find you no matter what. Please be safe wherever you are. And for Jackson, lay a single finger on her and I’ll kill you.
