I slowly opened my eyes and saw Jackson laying on the floor. I lifted my head and saw Cameron holding a gun. I run to his arms and cried in relief.
“Thank you for finding me.”
“Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” I pulled out of the hug and turned to Jackson.
“Is he dead?”
“No, I just shot him in his leg. He’s not going to die easily.” Jackson moved and tried to reach for his gun but Cameron approached it and kicked it away from him. “You should have stayed back in America.”
The gates of the warehouse opened and my brothers, with the police, entered. They immediately handcuffed and arrested Jackson.
“Are you okay?” Stefano asked me as soon as they approached me. Skyler hugged me tightly.
“S-Sky, I can’t breathe.” He lets go of me immediately. “I’m okay, don’t worry. How did you find me?”
“Casterdale isn’t that small,” Cameron said as he approaches me. “It’s a good thing that we found you before anything bad could have happened.”
The police took Jackson but he keeps resisting.
“Savannah! You asked me about the kidnapping in Las Vegas. Do you want to know who did it?!” I made the police, who were taking him, stop. I approached him but kept my distance.
“Just admit it if it was you. You’re going to jail anyway.”
“It wasn’t me. You’re going to meet her soon.”
“Her? Just tell us who, you fucking asshole!” Sylvester angrily shouted while approaching us.
“I don’t know who, but I know she’s a she. That woman... is scarier than you expect. If she’s after you, it only means that you’ve done something terrible to her.”
“If you don’t know her than how—”
“I only heard her voice. Whenever I meet her, my eyes are blindfolded. She’s much worst than I am. I mean, she’s a killer and she’s the real psychopath. Better watch your backs.” He looks at me and smirked. “I somehow failed, again, but she won’t. It’s one shot one kill for her. Savannah, I’ll see you again.”
I wanted to ask more questions but the police took him away. We left the warehouse and went back home. They told me about Cameron and Stefano’s plan, and Cameron’s fake amnesia, on our way back.
“Aren’t you two planning too much behind my back?”
“Not that much.”
As soon as we arrived, we saw the gates opened and saw my parents inside the house.
“Savannah! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!” mom asked after running towards we.
“I’m okay mom. What are you two doing here?”
Even before mom could answer, someone started grabbing my hair from behind.
“You bitch! What did you do to Jackson?!” My brothers pulled her away from me. I turned to her and slapped her twice on both of her cheeks.
“That’s already two slaps. Is that enough to get you back on your senses? Are you awake now?!” I took a deep breath and fixed my hair before speaking. “Did you hear the news? Or did you only listen to gossips? Do you even know what’s going on?!”
“Yes! You framed Jackson and now he’s in prison! Are you that desperate to get him?! Are you that desperate to destroy me?!”
“So, you did listen to the gossips. You think too highly of yourself. Do you really think I would waste my time on you? I have better things to do!”
“Then why did you do that?!”
“WHAT DID I DO OTHER THAN BEING THE VICTIM?!” I calmed myself before continuing. “I framed Jackson? Why do I always have to suffer?! And why does it have to be my fault?! Jackson attempted to rape me back in America five years ago. He fucking did it again earlier! Did you even see the basement of your house?! He’s an obsessive maniac asshole, Irene! Did you even bother asking what really happened before grabbing my hair? I know, you’re also a victim of his lies, but don’t be blinded by it! He’s a criminal!” Irene started crying and I just hugged her. Skyler took her back home after a few minutes. She would suffer the most in this mess.
“This is going to be the headline tomorrow.” I turned around and looked at dad with an amused face.
“That’s the only thing that bothers you? Headlines? Are you worried? Why would you, don’t you like being in the spotlight?”
“Savannah! Watch what you’re saying. This kind of news is not appropriate.”
“Of course, it’s not. It’s an attempted rape, how would it be appropriate? Did you watch closely? On how we managed to deal with Jackson? You should be scared now, dad, because the next thing we’ll find is your secret. The secret that made you turn your back on your own daughter.”
I left and went to Via’s room to check on her. After that, I took a shower and went to bed.

It’s been three days and Cameron went back to work. I decided to take a break first after what happened. The news has been the talk in Casterdale for days and I heard that the news has already reached America.
I let Via crawl inside her playpen as I take a break by sitting on the couch. I opened my phone and saw an email.
“From Mavis Glaze?” Isn’t this the psychologist?
I opened the email but it’s just random letters. Suddenly, the door burst opened and Stefano came in a hurry.
“What are you doing here?”
“D-Doctor Mavis,” he said while panting.
“Did you receive the weird email too? I just received—”
“Doctor Mavis is dead.”
“WHAT?! What do you mean dead?!”
“Dead, unalive, passed away, went to the other side—”
“I wasn’t asking the synonyms! I mean, why did she die? When did she die? How did she die?”
“You should have asked why, how and when instead of what.” I glared him and he just coughed before continuing. “I received an email from her assistant. He said that doctor Mavis told him to contact me if anything happens to her.”
“When did she die?”
“She was found dead this morning in her apartment. It was a suicide. She was hanging when she was found.”
“Suicide? All of a sudden? Why would—”
“I doubt that it was suicide. However, they immediately closed the case and concluded it as suicide. They saw no traces of homicide.”
“You think she could be killed?”
“Given the fact that she asked her assistant to contact me ‘in case’ of an emergency; I think she was killed and she knew it was coming.”
“Someone was after her.”
