Emilie decides to wait for her best friend, Claire to know what is the result of her love confession towards Andrew. She is impressed by Claire's guts and confidence to make the first move, and she is crossing her fingers that Andrew will accept her love confession.
Claire is obviously in love, and she is happy for her.
"But how about you, Emilie? Are you in love right now?" asked the back of her mind.
Emilie looks up at the starry night sky, as she lets out a deep sigh.
"I really couldn't say yet if I'm in love, but I'm pretty sure that I have special feelings for someone..." she said, in a whisper.
"----What's that deep sigh for?"
Emilie almost screamed at the top of her lungs because of surprise when she suddenly heard a voice behind her. She wheels around to see who it was, and she felt a twinge of annoyance when she realized that Jayden is standing behind her, with a curious look on his face.
"Why are suddenly popping out of nowhere? You scared the daylights out of me!" she spat out at him, while looking irritated.
"Oppss, I'm sorry. I was actually just looking for Andrew. He suddenly went missing in action so I came out to look for him." he stated.
Emilie suddenly became anxious. Andrew and  Claire are currently at the school's gymnasium. Claire is in her important part of her life wherein she is currently confessing her feelings to the guy that she is in love with, and she won't let anyone disrupt her. She had to do everything and anything she can to stop Jayden on going to the gym... Not until Claire is done with her mission.
"Uh, I don't know where he is. I haven't seen him around."  Emilie did a white lie.
"Oh, okay then. I guess he'll just appear later. Anyway, I saw you sighing few minutes ago. Is there something wrong? Is there something that I can do to help?" Jayden inquired, in a concerned manner.
Emilie thinks that this is the perfect time to somehow delay or stop Jayden for looking for his best friend.
"It's not that serious, really. I was just thinking that we're on our senior year in high school and it feels like everything went by in a flash. Everyone's making good memories with their friends, and almost everyone's having a boyfriend or girlfriend." she relayed.
"Why did you suddenly think of those things? Do you want to have a boyfriend?" Jayden gave her a surprising question.
Emilie was taken back with Jayden's surprising question. Come to think of it why does things suddenly came out from her mouth? She only plans to make Jayden stay longer so that he won't continue searching for Andrew, but why are they having this kind of conversation now?
"I'm not talking about myself. I'm talking about in general. Why do you suddenly think that I want to have a boyfriend?" she shot back, in a defensive manner.
Jayden raised her hands in the air as if he is surrendering.
"Just chill, okay? I'm just asking you a harmless question. And besides, it's not bad to be in a romantic relationship, as long as you're responsible enough and make your special someone as an inspiration to study and reach your goals." he explained.
"Whatever." that was all Emilie can say, while rolling her eyes heavenward.
"I'm also curious to ask you this... Why do you always have to be defensive and mad whenever you talk to me? Did I do something wrong to you? If yes, can you tell me what I did?" Jayden bombarded her with questions.
Emilie can't take it anymore, so she decided to let it all out, once and for all.
"You really want to know? It's because you've changed, Jayden! We almost do everything together, and now that you have become the most popular guy in our school, you started drifting away from me!" there, she finally said it.
"But you were the one who started avoiding me, Em! I want you us to be the same as before, but I don't know what happened, you just started avoiding me." Jayden said in return.
"I don't like your friends, Jayden. They're all superficial and shallow, and I don't want to be associated with them."
"You should've have told me, Em. I will still choose to be with you and I was hoping that you and Claire can also be friends with Andrew." responded Jayden.
"You should have said that from the start." said Emilie.
"I tried to do so, but you were avoiding me like a plague. I thought that you really don't want to talk to me anymore, and I thought that I'm pestering you, so I've decided to give up." replied Jayden.
"Well, that's too bad." Emilie shrugs her shoulders in return.
"But can I try again? I would really want us to be close again just like we were before." he suggested, with a pleading look in his eyes.
"I'm not promising anything, but you can try." Emilie nodded, as she lets out a small smile.
"Thank you for giving me another chance, Em. I promise I will do anything and everything so that you can trust me again." Jayden promised Emilie.
"Let's see about that." Emilie lets out a big smile this time, and she's quite happy with her decision on giving Jayden another chance.
She glad and relieved that she and Jayden had this chance to have a heart-to-heart talk as they were able to know what's going on between them. It's not too late for them to go back to the way they were, and they are not starting to pick up the pieces.
And it's not a bad idea to become friends with Andrew as well. She, Jayden, Andrew and Claire can hangout all the four of them! 
Emilie is now looking forward to see on what kind of effort is he going to do to get closer to her again...
