They decided to go to the parking lot to get some fresh air, and to get away from the noise and from the crowd...
“So, tell me... Are you trying to get all of our attention by dressing up like that? ” Darren asked, out of the blue.
Emma instantly got annoyed by Darren's question.
"Why, is it a crime to go to a party wearing a dress like this and have some fun? And why are you asking me this kind of question?" she bombarded him with questions. 
"Alright, you don't need to answer my question. I'm sorry if I offended you." Darren apologizes rightaway.
"Well, I'm not really comfortable with parties like this, anyway. I'm going back home." Emma stated in a matter-of-factly tone.
“And who says I’ll let you go home?" Darren suddenly asks her.
"W-What do you mean?" Emma asked back, while anxiously looking at Darren. 
"I helped you awhile ago, remember? And now, I'm expecting something in return." Darren mysteriously stated.
"What do you want? Money?" Emma forced herself to speak. 
"Money? Are you insulting me? I don’t need it. In fact, I only want one thing from you. And that is...” Darren slowly moves closer to Emma and stares at her without blinking. 
"W-What do you want?" Emma stammers, but her heart is beating like crazy! 
"As I was saying... I need your body --- to repay me." Darren whispers at her ear.
"Stay away from me, you pervert!" Emma hysterically warns him.
"I helped you awhile ago, remember? And now, I'm expecting something in return." Darren mysteriously stated.
"If I could only erase that stupid grin from his face!" Emma angrily said to herself.
"Sorry to disappoint you, sweetheart, but it’s not what you think it is. First of all--- you’re not my type. And secondly, I could have any girl I want. To make it more clear, you're not my type of girl. But, I need you to play the role of my girlfriend infront of our people." Darren suddenly announced.
Emma feels like a bomb suddenly exploded infront of her. Did she hear it right? Darren asked her to become his girlfriend just for a show?
"Is this some kind of a joke?" Emmaa spoke again, when she finally recovers from shock.
"No, I'm dead serious. And just like what I said before, you’re not my type of woman, so I’m 100% sure I won’t fall in love with you. I'm doing this so I could ward off the girls who keeps on disturbing my peaceful life." Darren tries to reason out.
Emma suddenly fell into a deep thought. If she's going to accept Darren Hayes' idea, it would be much easier for her to invade his private life, and she'll be able to finish her undercover mission in no time.
And hello, promotion!
Emma looked at Darren straight into his eyes.
"And when do we start pretending?" Emma asked again.
“Right now. So you better be a good actress." Darren responded.
"Okay, then. Introductions are in order. I'm Emma Albreicht, and I'm am your "girlfriend." Emma introduces herself.
"And I'm Darren Hayes, your boyfriend..." it was Darren's turn to introduce himself.
After formally introducing themselves to each other, they've decided to go back to the party venue, while walking hand in hand.
As soon as they made their grand entrance, everyone's attention were all focused on them.
Darren's friend, Carl, immediately went towards them, while looking a bit surprised.
"What's going on, dude?" he curiously asks him.
"Well, I'm making it official. Emma and I are officially a couple, starting tonight." Darren intentionally made his announcement infront of many people.
Emma can hear audible gasps inside the venue, especially from the girls. Darren's announcement clearly made them shocked.
"Let's go over there sweetheart, shall we?" Darren spoke again, while sweetly smiling at her.
"Wow! Darren finally got himself a girlfriend!" Clark said in disbelief.

One day after the party.
Emma is now talking with Samantha, as they discuss what happened at Daisy's party. 
"So... Darren Hayes formally and officially introduced you at the party, huh? I wonder what happened between the both of you?" Samantha wondered, while giving Emma a meaningful look.
"I know what you're thinking, Sam. Sorry to disappoint you, but nothing happened between me and Darren." Emma responded.
"I really don't know what you did, but you successfully accomplished the first phase of your mission. And now, it's time for the second phase. You need to know everything about him." pronounced Samantha.
"Well, that's the plan." Emma nodded in return.
Their conversation suddenly got interrupted when one of the staff at The Chronicle suddenly spoke.
"There's someone looking for you outside, Emma."
"Who's looking for me?" Emma curiously asks him.
"It's none other than your boyfriend, Darren Hayes." 
"Oh, look who's here..." said Samantha, in a teasing manner.
"Okay, then. It's time to get to work!" Emma lets out a big sigh, then afterwards, he went outside to meet up with Darren.
"Hello there, girlfriend." Darren smilingly greeted her. 
"What are you doing here, Darren?" Emma immediately asks him.
"I need to talk to you about something. Do you have the time?" Darren quickly inquired.
