"I can't believe almost all of the students here at psychos! First, Brent hit me with his stupid soccer ball and hurled insults on me, and some other jocks puts a paper on my back which said "Born as a nerd, and will die as a nerd!" exclaimed Clark. "Just hang in there for a little bit more. We're going to graduate soon, and all of this will be over." Nina tries to pacify him. Clark lets out a big sigh. But Nina is right. He should be patient and he should continue to endure this, until their graduation... Nina decided to change the topic and she started talking about her vacation in Switzerland during their semestral break. But Clark wasn't listening because he saw the always pretty Emilia Albreicht entering the room. He almost forgot how to breath, and he feels like everything stopped because of her presence. She's perfect from head to toe, and she is every guys' dream girl... "Oh, here comes your dream girl..." Nina commented, while looking a bit grim. "My dream girl who will never be mine." Clark sighs in return. Hai, I know that. But what are you worried about?" he asked again. "It's obvious that you're falling more deeply in love with Emilia, Clark. And falling in love means you can get hurt more than you can imagine..." Nina gave her friend a piece of advice. It was evident on Clark's face that he looks in love, hopeless, and helpless. "To tell you honestly, I don't know what to do or think anymore.I just can't stop myself." he sighs once again. "I just don't want to see you getting hurt..." Nina suddenly spoke. "I know... And thank you for being such a great friend, Nina. You're the best!" Clark smilingly told Nina. Nina was about to say something but she decided not to stopped herself as she saw their professor walking entering the room to start their class... ================================= After whole day of classes, Clark and Nina decided to hang out and chill at the nearby coffee shop, just a few distance away from Palmridge High. "Hey, lovers..." Marsha, one of the staff at the coffee shop greeted them. Marsha has been a very good friend of theirs, and the tree of them are already comfortable with each other. "You're still thinking we're really lovers, Marsha?" Clark asked Marsha, while shaking his head. Marsha stares at them once again, with a meaningful smile on her face. "Well, you look good together as a couple." she said,in a matter--of--factly tone. "So, if you see a girl and a guy hanging out together then, there's something going on with them?" Clark inquired again. "Yes, I believe most of the time." Marsha nodded as an answer. "But not us... We're totally different from other bestfriends turned to lovers." Clark pointed out. "Whatever you guys say, you will never change my mind... So, can I have your orders now?" Marsha activated his work mode. "We'll have our usual cafe macchiato, thank you." Nina smilingly interjected. "Okay, got it!" Marsha walks away to prepare their orders. Once she was out of sight, Clark spoke again. "Marsha's really a tough cookie, huh?" he stated. "Yeah, but we still like her. I'll miss her once we graduate from Palmridge High." relayed Nina. "Yeah, you're right. I just hate to admit it, but I'll miss her for sure. And this place as well!" I love everything about here!" Clark agrees. Without a word, Nina suddenly grabs a tissue paper, and started playing with it. "Our graduation is fast approaching... Tell me, did you enjoy your time at Palmridge?" she asks, out of the blue. Hmm... Let's see. I wake up every morning, hoping for a wonderful day ahead, but always being knocked out by the same soccer ball by that stupid Brent, and being made fun of the other popular kids at school... I wouldn't really call it as the best times in my high school life. And being in love with the most popular girl in our school while being a wallflower? Maybe I won't ever have a girlfriend in my whole life!" Clark related, while shaking his head... "But it's not too late, Clark! Wait, I've just got an idea!" Nina suddenly said, while beaming at Clark. "What are you thinking?" Clark anxiously asks Nina. "Just listen to me, okay? Let's do something different!" Nina mysteriously suggested. "I actually have a bad feeling about this." Clark mumbles. "Oh, come on, Clark! We only live once, so don't be a chicken! If you're lucky, you might get yourself a girlfriend before we graduate!" Nina persuaded him. "Are you really sure about this?" Clark asked once again. At the same time, Marsha returns to their table to deliver their orders. "Here you go, guys. Anything else?" she asked the two of them. "This would be all, Marsha. Thank you!" Clarks thanks her. "Anytime." Marsha smilingly responded. She decided to approach other customers to help them with their orders. "Alright, then. Here's the first step on getting yourself a girlfriend." Nina pulls a piece of tissue, grabs a ball pen and started writing something on it. "What are you writing?" Clark curiously inquired. "Don't ask me any more questions if you trust me." Nina firmly stated. After she finished writing, she hid the tissue under the table mattress. Clark was about to open his mouth to ask her a question, but Nina immediately spoke. "Oppss, I said don't ask more questions. Let's just enjoy our coffee, okay?" Clark didn't have a choice but to follow his best friend's advice...
