"It will give me so much satisfaction when I beat him on our last year in high school..." Emilie responded, while grinning from ear to ear. "Okay, whatever you say, bestie..." Claire said, while shaking her head in a helpless manner. The school bell suddenly rang, signalling that their lunchtime is over. Emilie and Claire started putting their lunchboxes inside their mini bags, then they both made their way back to their classroom to get ready for their first class in the afternoon... =================================== At the Albreicht Residence. As soon as their family driver parks the car infront of the house, Emilie, Emilia and Emma immediately steps out from the car to go inside and take a rest after a long day at school. The three of them are now climbing upstairs to go to their own rooms to change their uniforms to their normal clothes, when they suddenly stopped when they saw their mother doing something in their guest room. The triplets saw their mother putting new pillow cases on the bed, while one of their house helpers is assisting her. "What are you doing, Mom?" Emilie curiously asks their mother. Lara smiles at her daughters and then resumed on what she is doing. "Well, I'm just changing the pillowcases and the bedsheets and everything in this room so that it will be ready once Jayden arrives." she responded. "Oh right! I almost forgot that Jayden's going to stay with us for one whole month because Uncle John and Auntie Amanda are going to New York to visit her parents." Emilia spoke, while giving Emilie a meaningful look. "Yes, that's right, sweetheart." Lara nodded in return. "So, when is Jayden coming?" Emma did a follow-up question. "Oh, he'll be here this coming weekend, right after he drops off his parents at the airport... And you already know what to do, girls. Let's welcome Jayden with warmth and with open arms, okay?" Lara reminded her three daughters. "Of course, Mom!" Emilia and Emma said in unison. "And how about you, Emilie?" Lara asked her eldest daughter. "Yes, Mom..." Emilie forces herself to answer. "Thank you, girls. By the way, you go ahead and change clothes. I'll join you at the dining table. I prepared homemade pizza for you, guys." their mother informs them. "Yay, there's pizza!" Emma happily said. "You're the best, Mom!" Emilia smilingly added. Afterwards, Emma and Emilia went to their own rooms to finally change their clothes. Meanwhile, Emilie just quietly went to her own room, while feeling confused. Once she closes the door of her own room, she sat on her bed and stared at the space. She can't really understand what she's feeling about Jayden's homestay. She's actually glad to see her family members being happy with it, but deep inside, she feels a bit awkward and a bit conscious to the idea of spending time with Jayden twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week... "You don't know what will happen in the future, so don't think about this too much. Maybe it's not a bad idea to let Jayden stay here, and who knows, maybe we'll enjoy spending time together along with my sisters." Emilie tries to convince herself. After convincing herself, she decided to change her clothes and join and sisters and her mother for some snacks later. ============================== Saturday finally arrives. After dropping off his parents at the airport, Jayden immediately drives off to the Albreicht residence. And after a few moments, Jayden is now having a wonderful dinner with the rest of the Albreicht family. "Please feel at home, Jayden. And I hope you'll enjoy your stay here." Emmett Albreicht smilingly told Jayden. "Thank you, Uncle Emmett. I promise I won't cause you any trouble during my stay here." Jayden politely thanked his Uncle. "By the way, how's the food, Jayden? I cooked all of your favorite dishes." Lara suddenly asks the young boy. "Everything tastes great, Auntie Lara! I think I ate too much! Thank you for cooking for me."Jayden happily answered. "Wait till you taste Mom's chocolate lava cake. It's amazing!" Emilia joined in the conversation. "And in this house, there's no such thing as dieting. Our hobby here is to eat, eat, and just to eat!" Emma started joking. "Are you sure it's okay with you since you need to be fit as the captain of our school's basketball team?" Emilie asked, and when she realized that she said something wrong, it was already too late to stop herself. "Emilie? Why on earth would you ask that question?" Lara gently reminded her eldest daughter. "I-I'm sorry..." Emilie said in return. It was not her intention to be negative, but what she's trying to say is Jayden might have been following a strict diet and he needs to be a good example to his members as the captain of their basketball team. But deep inside, she feels so stupid because she didn't choose her words wisely before saying it out loud. "Actually, Emilie is right, Auntie. I need to maintain an ideal weight so that it won't be hard for me to play basketball. But of course, I can still eat whatever and whenever I want, as long as I do my regular exercises." Jayden tries to reassure everyone. "Oh, that's good to know then." Emmett said, while nodding approvingly. "It's a good thing Jayden saved your neck today, or else Mommy will have a serious talk with you." Emilia discreetly whispered at Emilie. "Stop annoying me, Emilia." Emilie whispered back in return. They continued on eating their dinner afterwards. Emilie is silently observing Jayden, and she must say that he is polite and he got good manners. He also charms is way to her parents and sisters, and it's clearly obvious that her whole family loves him. But she should be very careful in everything that she says and do infront of Jayden. She needs to keep her guard up, just to protect herself, especially when it comes to her heart.
