Chapter Forty-Seven: New Beginnings

"I don't need anything else, your friendship is enough." Van answered.
"No, I don't want that. I will find you a perfect gift for your birthday whether you like it or not." Bianca's stubbornness strikes again.
Van can't help himself but to let out a smile. This is what he finds charming about Bianca. If he wants to do something, she will do it in full throttle.
And that's what make her beautiful.
==============================
After a few hours.
Clark and Van are currently talking to their neighborhood friends who are also at the birthday party when they suddenly heard a commotion outside Clark's house.
Clark, Van and all of the guests went outside to check what was going on. And much to their surprise, they saw the same creepy man at the Waldorf Reunion party. He was grabbing Bianca's arm, as he is dragging him towards his car.
"Hey, what are you doing? Let her go!" Van shouted.
He almost forgot how to breath because he is dead worried about Bianca. The creepy man might try to hurt her, and he won't be able to bear it.
He feels like someone has just punched him on the chest while looking at Bianca who's been crying. She looks obviously scared and distressed.
"Please let me go... I didn't do anything wrong to you!" Bianca pleaded.
"You heard her, man. Let her go!" Clark bravely talks to the creepy man.
"Why do you always show up every time I want to talk to this woman? Mind your own business!" the man angrily barks at them.
"But it looks like she doesn't want to talk to you. If I were you, I'd let her go so you won't have any problems with the authorities." Clark diplomatically suggested.
"And who are you to order me? I'll do whatever I want, so back off if you don't want to get hurt!" the man gives them a warning.
Without saying a word, Clark carefully steps forward to help Bianca, while Van is staring at the creepy man.
"I said BACK OFF!" the man roared at them.
The man angrily releases a punch towards Clark's direction. Fortunately, he was quite flexible, and as a result he was able to avoid his punch.
The next thing that happened, some of their male guests started moving on their own. Two men suddenly grabbed the creepy man's arm, to stop him from hurting other people and creating chaos.
"I said mind your own business right? And now you're making me really angry!" the man is really getting angry now.
"Hey, what's going on here?" someone might have called the police, and good thing they came on time.
As a result, the man was arrested, and everything's safe again.
Meanwhile, Bianca quickly ran towards Clark and hugged him.
At the same time, Van watches them from the corner. He sadly smiles while looking at Clark and Bianca.
There's no denying it. There's love between them, and it's clear that nothing can come between them.
He silently walks away from the crowd, as he finally admits his defeat.
"I wish you all the happiness and the best, Clark and Bianca..." he whispered to himself.
THE END.

Fifty One:Tales
Julia checked her reflection at the mirror for almost a hundredth time. She thoughtfully frowned when she noticed that something is missing.
"Oh, right. I need to put on my lipstick!"
She took her small make-up pouch and she applied the pink lipstick on her pouting lips.
After a few seconds, she lets out a satisfied smile when she looks at the mirror again. She's now ready to face the day with a smile.
"Julia you need to hurry or else you're going to be late for school!" she heard her mother's voice downstairs.
"Okay, Mom!" she responded.
She got her school bag and she rushes downstairs. She saw her father and older brother already having breakfast.
"Come and eat your breakfast, Julia. You don't want to be late for school, right?" her mother stated.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I pulled an all-nighter to study for today's exam that's why I woke up late." Julia apologizes.
"Hey, is is there something on your lips?" her annoying brother, Julius suddenly asked.
"Aren't you wearing too much make up, sweetheart?" Julia's father asked, while sipping his coffee.
"Oh, c'mon! Cut it out! It's just normal for Julia's age to try on some make-up. I did it too,  honey!" Julia's mother tries to pacify them.
"But---!" their father tries to speak, but their mother interrupted him.
"No buts. And you two, you should hurry up or else you'll be really late!" their mother tries to change the subject.
Julia is on her second year in high school at Waldorf High, while her brother, James is on his last year at another school.
Julia and James ate in a hurry, and after a few minutes, the latter finally finished eating.
"I'm leaving now, Mom and Dad. I don't want to be stuck in the traffic." James said.
"Oh, I'm going to hitch a ride with you, James!"  Julia took this opportunity to execute her plan. Their parents gifted him a new car on his last birthday, and he really deserved it because he's been consistently getting high grades since he started school...
"Hurry up or else you'll be left behind." James warned her.
"Thanks, James!" Julia happily replied.
"Have fun at school, James and Julia." their father and mother waved them goodbye.
James and Julia both waved at their parents, then afterwards, they are now making their way to the garage where James' car is parked.
After a few minutes, they are now making their way to Julia's school.
"If you think that Van will fall inlove with you just because you're wearing make-up, then think again." James said, while driving.
"Huh? Why? Do you think it's too much?" Julia suddenly became self-conscious.
"Actually, he dislikes girls who wears make up." James relayed.
Julia's older brother, James, and his best friend, Van (her ultimate crush) are studying at the same school. They are both famous soccer players in their school. They both possess looks and brains so that's why almost all of the girls at their school are smitten by them.
Julia pouted at her brother while looking annoyed.
"I don'g know if I should believe you or not. Maybe you're just saying that to irritate me." she sulkily stated.
James shrugs his shoulders in return.
"Well, it's up to you if you'll believe me or not. I'm just telling the truth. If I were you, I would wipe all that gunk on my face, and just be myself. You're too obvious whenever Van is around." he gave his sister a piece of advice.
Julia didn't bother to answer her brother, but she's really excited because it's Monday, and she will have chance to see Van again. Every Monday, the senior students from James and Van's school usually visit Waldorf High to do tutoring for them in Math, Science and Arts.
And because of that, Monday has been Julia's favorite day of the week.
"By the way, am I really that transparent towards Van?" she curiously asks her brother.
"Obviously, yes! Just remember, behave yourself infront if Van, and wipe all that gunk on your face. You're too young for that." James reminded her.
Julia was about to say something, but she wasn't able to do so because she realizes that  they are already at Waldorf High. She helplessly sighs as she opens the passenger seat's door.
"See you later, Julia. And remember what I told you, okay?" James reminded her again.
Afterwards, James finally drives away to go to his school. Once the car disappears from Julia's sight, she started walking to go to the entrance gate of Waldorf High.
She's really looking forward on seeing Van again...
===============================
Julia's eyes are fixed at the wall clock inside their room, as she's starting to get impatient. She's getting anxious as she counts each passing minute. She will have to wait for five more minutes, and she will see Van again.
Julia excitedly glances at her Math book. Even  though she's in the middle of their History class, her mind is flying elsewhere.
She's looking forward on seeing his smiling face again, and being close to him while he's teaching her how to solve Math problems...
Her train of thought stops in a halt when she heard the school bell, indicating that the official school hours are over and the Monday tutoring will finally begin.
"Okay, class. See all tomorrow, and don't forget to review your notes, is that clear?" their History teacher reminded them.
Julia didn't bother to answer anymore. She quickly leaves the room, while clutching the Math book unto her chest.
She then went to the gymnasium where the tutoring is usually held. Her smile grew wider when she saw her brother James, walking alongside with Van, her secret crush...
She took a deep breath to calm herself, eventhough her heart is beating like crazy!
Julia then walk towards them with a big smile on her face.
"Hello, James and Van!" she chirped at them.
"Hmm... You're the first one to be at the gymnasium. Looks like you're really excited for today, huh?" James said, but Julia knows that her brother is teasing her again.
Julia gave her brother a fake sugar-coated smile, but deep inside, she's really annoyed.
"The lessons are very interesting."
James started grinning from ear to ear.
"That's good to hear. And here I am thinking that I've been giving you boring lessons." Van suddenly spoke.
"No, it's not boring at all!" Julia quickly interjected.
"If that's the case, thank you for being a good student, Julia." Van smilingly responded.
