Chapter Fifty-Eight: Mariya's Second Home

Two weeks later.
Mariya is overwhelmed with emotions while she's walking side-by-side with the Mother Superior, while the nuns and the children are watching them with sad expression on their faces.
She tries her best not to cry, but she knows that she's going to miss everyone and everything at Sunshine Orphanage.
This is the place where she felt the true love of a true family.
"Don't be sad, dear. You can come back here whenever you want. We'll be waiting for you." the old nun gives her a reassurance.
"I'm really going to miss everyone here, Mother." Mariya sniffles in return.
"It's normal for you to feel that way. But this is not the end if everything. You will start a new journey of searching for your father." the Mother Superior gently stated.
"We wish you all the best, Mariya." Sister Angela joins in their conversation.
"Thank you very much, Mother Superior and Sister Angela. I'm sorry if I gave you lots of trouble and headache while I was growing up." Mariya is getting more and more emotional now.
She then turns her attention to the children.
"Promise me you're all going to behave and always follow Mother Superior and the nuns, okay?" Mariya smilingly gives them an advice.
"Yes, Mariya!"
"We promise!"
Mariya lets out a big smile once she heard the children.
"We have to go, Mariya. We need to be at the airport at an earlier time." Auntie Francia told her.
"Don't forget to pray and ask for God's guidance. May the Lord Almighty God bless you." the Mother Superior held Mariya's hand.
"Yes, Mother, I will."
Mariya said her final goodbyes, then afterwards, she steps inside the car, along with Auntie Francia...
Mariya gave one last look to her family, as the car starts to drive away.
============================
Tokyo, Japan.
Everything happened so fast, that she's still unable to believe that she's finally in the Land of Rising Sun, Japan.
She stares at the skyscrapers and the wonderful view of the night sky with so much amazement.
"Once you've settled at the Angel Voices orphanage, we will give you a tour around Tokyo. We'll visit famous and wonderful places." Auntie Francia gave her a promise.
"Thank you, Aunt Francia. I'm looking forward to it." Maria smilingly responded.
After few more hours, their car finally made a stop infront of the Angel Voices facility, where she's going to be a staff and stay there for one year.
"We're finally here, Mariya. Let's go and meet everyone." the old woman suggested.
Mariya nodded in return, as she quickly follows behind Auntie Francia.
She roamed her eyes around while they are walking at the hallway. She observed that the orphanage has modern and complete equipment, which is so much different compared to the Sunshine Orphanage where she grew up.
She promised to herself that one day, she will be able to provide better things for her beloved orphanage.
Mariya's train of thoughts made a quick stop when she heard Auntie Francia's voice again.
"---This will be your room, Mariya. You'll be sharing this room with the other female staff here at Angel Voices." she informs her.
Mariya looked at the two girls who are both smiling at her. She's guessing that they share the sane age, and she thinks that they will get along with each other.
"Hi, Mariya! Nice to meet you. I'm Mia!" Mia smilingly introduces herself, while shaking her hand.
"I'm glad to meet you, Mia. My name's Mariya." she politely introduces herself.
The other girl happily shook her hand as well.
"Hello, Mariya! Welcome to Angel Voices! I'm Kari, one of the helpers here. If you encounter any problems, don't hesitate to ask for our help, okay?" Kari happily chirps at her.
"I know you'll get along well, girls. By the way, how are the children? Did you encounter any problems while I'm away?" Auntie Francia inquired.
"They had wonderful dinner, brushed their teeth and took a bath well, and now they're fast asleep." Mia reported right away.
"That's good to hear. Good job, girls. Mariya and I will just have a late dinner, and afterwards, we'll let her take a rest so that she can have the energy to meet the children tomorrow." Aunt Francia informs everyone.
"You don't have to worry a thing, Auntie. We already prepared Mariya's bed and the cabinet for her clothes." Kari smilingly announced.
"Thank you very much for your help, Kari and Mia." Mariya gratefully said, and she feels relieved because the girls have been very nice to her.
She can't help herself but to feel excited about her future at Angel Voices. She's also looking forward on meeting the children tomorrow.
At first, she was extremely nervous because she will be staying in a foreign country for one year, and she won't be seeing Mother Superior, the nuns, and the children at Sunshine Orphanage for one year.
She's also afraid that she might suffer from homesickness, and she might choose to come back home soon.
But looking at the people at Angel Voices facility, she feels like they are going to be her second family...
But she shouldn't forget the main reason why she's in Japan in the first place. She needs to be mentally, emotionally and physically ready to search for her long-lost father...
After eating dinner with Aunt Francia, she decided to take a warm bath...
She came out from the bathroom, feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Mariya is now having a late-night talk with Kari and Mia. She secretly observes the two girls. She noticed that Mia talks non-stop. She talks everything about the orphanage and it looks like she never gets tired of talking!
Meanwhile, Kari is a good listener, and she's such a ball of sunshine! She has this positive vibe around her and just like Mia, she has so much energy.
Mariya enjoyed talking with the two girls. She knows that she will enjoy her one year stay at the orphanage, and she can finally say that she made the right decision on coming to Japan.
