Chapter Thirty: What A Long Night!

"We apologize sir, but can you please give us more time?" Nick pleaded to the guard.
"Please, give us more time, sir!" Justin pleaded as well.
"Alright, then. Five more minutes. Then afterwards, we will completely locked the doors." the guard finally gave in to their request.
"Thank you so much, sir. We really appreciate it." Gale thanked the guard, while heaving a sigh of relief.
==============================
Celine closed her eyes tightly, as she's waiting for the worst thing to happen. She  feared that she will die a painful death, and she's also hoping and wishing that she can fight back to save herself.
“----Don’t panic.I promise I won’t hurt you…” she heard one familiar voice behind her.
Celine's eyes flew open, and she's now sure that nothing bad is going to happen to her.
“I’m sorry if I scared you.” said the gentle voice again, while he's slowly releasing Celine.
Celine slowly wheels around to see who was standing behind her.
"Nate!" she exclaims, as she heave a sigh of relief.
Nate smiled at her in return, while looking apologetic.
"I'm really for scaring you like that." he apologizes again.
"It's alright. But why did you do that?" Celine curiously asks him.
“I thought I won’t have a chance to talk to you again. You were with Gale, Nick and Justin, and I was thinking that this is my last chance to be with you alone, so here I am." Nate explains his side.
And with that, Celine suddenly remembered something.
"Oh, no! Gale, Nick and Justin are waiting for me outside!" I stated, while panicking.
On the other hand, the guys who are all waiting outside is getting impatient and weary at the same time, as they wait for Celine.
Nick is nervously walking back and forth, thinking of some ways how to stall the guards to give them more time.
Out if the blue, Justin suddenly spoke.
“I can’t take this anymore!" he said, while in a panic mode.
The guard went back to inform them about the time.
“Your 5 minutes is almost up.” he notified them.
"Gale, we have to do something!" Nick enunciated.
"I'll try to call Celine." Gale finally decided. He dialled Celine's phone number and waited for her to answer his call.

Inside the Waldorf Auditorium...
"I was thinking of spending the night with you practicing onstage. We will have more freedom and privacy to rehearse our lines, and no one will be able to disturb us. You know how Nick and Justin jokes around right?" Nate seriously relayed his plan.
"Well, you've got a point there. I really want to have a one-on-one practice with you, anyway..." Celine nodded, after she heard Nate's explanation.
Nate was about to say something, but he stops at mid-sentence when Celine's mobile phone started ringing.
"Wait a minute, Nate. I need to answer my phone. It's Gale." Celine relates towards Nate.
"Go ahead. Please don't tell them that you're with me." Nate advised her.
"Hello?" Celine finally answers the call.
"Celine! Where are you?" she heard Gale's worried voice from the other line.
"Oh, I'm sorry for making you worries, guys. My dad actually called me, and he asked me to meet up somewhere. I actually went out to a different exit, and I didn't have the time to let you know. My Dad is in a real hurry..." Celine was feeling a bit guilty but she will make up to them someday.
"Is that so? Well, I'm glad you're with your father. We thought that you're still. inside and you're gonna be locked up." Gale responded.
"I'm so sorry for making you guys wait." Celine apologizes again.
“We'll just see you tomorrow, okay?" Gale spoke again.
“Of course.” Celine instantly replied.
After that call, Nate decided to speak again.
"I'm sorry if you had to lie for me, Celine."
Celine shook her head in return.
"Well, we're not doing anything wrong. And besides, I'm sure they'll understand once I explain everything to them."
“And since we’re alone here, we can have the stage all by ourselves, right?” Nate smilingly announced.
Celine opened her bag to get something inside.
“I'm all ready with my script.” I said, while holding a thick folder on my hand.
Nate nodded and smiles approvingly in return.

At a certain train station...
Gale, Nick and Justin vigorously runs at the plight of stairs hoping that they can catch up for the last train trip.
Luckily, the boys finally reached the platform, and all of them blew out a relieved breath.
"I'm glad we made it." Nick said, while panting.
"I'm so tired and I feel like I want to collapse on this floor..." Justin added.
At the same time, Gale was just quietly staring at his phone, while looking so serious.
"Is there something wrong, Gale? Why are you so quiet?" Nick suddenly asked his friend.
Gale snaps out from his reverie and forces an airy smile towards Nick.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just feeling tired, I guess..."
They heard the sound of the train coming to their platform. When the train stopped, the three of them went inside...
While the train is running, Nick and Justin continues to throw jokes to each other. On the other hand, Gale was intently looking at his mobile phone.
Then suddenly, he received a text message from Celine.
"I'm about to sleep, but I just want to say goodnight to you guys. See you at the rehearsals tomorrow!"
Gale immediately writes a reply to Celine.
"Yeah, see you tomorrow. Goodnight."
Afterwards, he slips his mobile phone back on his pocket, as he fell into a deep thinking again...
==============================
The next day.
Celine felt a hand shaking her shoulders... It was a tender touch, and she feels like she's being touched by an angel...
"Celine..." one familiar voice started calling her name.
She slowly opens her eyes, as she's staring to be more awake.
"Oh! Good morning, Nate!" Celine greeted him, as she's finally 100% awake.
"Good morning, Celine. I'm so sorry for waking you up, but we need to get out of here." Nate quickly informs her.
"Thanks for waking me up." Celine said, as she quickly stands up.
"By the way, they're going to open the doors at exactly 7, so we need to make our way put as soon as they unlock the doors." Nate gave her brief and clear instructions.
"Okay. Roger that." Celine nodded in return, as she gets ready.
"Let's go then." Nate said
Nate and Celine carefully and quietly makes their way out from the stage hall...
================================
After an hour.
Nick and Justin are both making their way inside the Waldorf Auditorium.
"Brrr! It's freezing cold outside! The snow's quiet heavy today." Nick complains to Justin.
"It would be nice to just curl in bed." Justin sighed, while looking wistful.
"You're definitely right." Nick nodded in return.
Nick and Justin are now inside the stage hall. Without a warning, Justin suddenly lost his footing and he stumbled on one of the seats inside.
The boys suddenly heard a groaning sound.
"What the---?" Nick puzzily mumbled.
"What on earth is that?" Justin curiously asks as well.
"---Can't you at least give me a moment of peaceful sleep?!"
"G-Gale?!" Nick and Justin blurted out, in utter shock.
In return, Gale slowly got up from the seats, as he lazily scratches his head.
"Hey, what's with that look?" he asked Nick and Justin.
"I thought you were a corpse lying there or something." Justin answers, as soon as he recovers from shock.
"Dude, you're watching too much horror movies." Gale grunted in return.
"By the way, what time did you get here?" Nick inquired.
"The same time the Waldorf Auditorium opened." Gale casually answers.
"You're already here at 7!?" Nick unbelievably exclaimed.
"That's so freakin' cold! Are you alright, man?" Justin asked, while looking a little concerned towards Gale.
"Yeah, it is freezing cold. By the way, you want some coffee?" Gale suddenly suggested.
"Sure. We need to warm ourselves." Nick nodded approvingly.
The three of them started walking their way to the coffee vending machine...
============================
After another hour.
Director Alford finally arrived, and he requested everyone to gather around.
"Huh? Where's Nate and Celine? Did they advise you on anything?" the old man curiously asks Gale, Nick and Justin.
All of them shook their heads.
"Oh, that's quite strange. They've never been late before. Anyway, let's do our usual warm up first, then we'll continue with our rehearsals." the director said to all the cast.
