Chapter Fifty five
She’s Rich
They got to the house and she went in alone, King wanted to go with her but she insisted to go in alone. A few minutes later she returned with the card, he looked at her a breath he didn’t know he was holding. She hit him on his hand and asked him to drive away.
He wanted to ask her what happened inside but he also didn’t want her to recall anything so he just let it go. They got to the mall and she started shopping but then they were only office wears and official suits. King was confused so he asked,
“Don’t you want any other cloths apart from the official wears? And what are you using these clothes for? School?”
She smiled and asked him to get closer and he did but instead of replying to him, she left all the clothes she had picked on his him. He looked at her short of words then he asked,
“How about I get you a shopping cart or an assistant?” he asked looking pitiful.
“Then why did you come here with me?” she asked sarcastically.
“Sheila!! You can’t treat me like this I’m a celebrity. ” he said fake frowning.
“Then do as you wish. You are my boyfriend!!!” she said smiling.
They continued shopping with King still holding the clothes, but with a huge smile on his face the people that passed by always looked their way with surprise on their faces and others taking pictures. But they didn’t seem to mind at all, they didn’t give them any attention. With smiles on their faces, they finished shopping and went to the cashier. The cashier looked at the clothes and looked at the lady her expression saying,
“Can she afford all these?”
But she saw the man behind her, then suddenly smiled. She was expecting King to come forward with his card but Sheila gave it to her instead. She took it and looked at the card but it had a woman’s name on it, she was surprised greatly.
‘Which lady pays after shopping when she is with a celebrity?’ she thought.
She typed in the amount into the machine and it came back paid.
‘Wow she’s rich. ’ the waiter thought.
She looked back at Sheila with a new found admiration and handed back the card to her. Sheila took back the card and asked nervously,
“Is there a problem? Have you been paid?”
“Yes mum, it pushed through. ”
She said and packed up the clothes and handed them to Sheila but then she pushed them into King’s arms and said,
“Thank you for helping. ”
King smiled awkwardly to the waiter and they turned to leave. The waiter quickly took her phone and took pictures of their back leaving.
‘What lovely couple, thank God, King got a woman he deserves. ’ she thought.
Third Person POV.
They got to her house and she waited for him to unlock the gate for her to get out but he just sat there in his own world. She looked at him in confusion and said,
“King we’ve reached my house and I need to get down right? Won’t you let me out?”
He looked at her then turned away and said,
“I don’t want you to go please let’s go back to my place. ”
“King, I’m still here, I’m not traveling. You can come to see me anytime in fact, come and pick me up tomorrow morning. I need to go somewhere okay?” she said smiling.
“Okay, can I ?” before he could finish speaking his lips landed on hers.
‘Argh why don’t I ever notice his intention? He always gets me. ’ she thought.
He kissed her to his satisfaction then let her go and said,
“See you tomorrow then. ”
“Why do you always sneak kiss me?” she asked in wonder.
“I like sneak attack and don’t forget you are my girlfriend. ” said King.
“So you can kiss me anyhow?” she frowning.
“If I could, I would kiss you every minute. ”Then kissed her once more.
Argh!!! She shouted and existed the car but with a smile on her face. He got out with her and took her things with him, he gave her things to her and quickly peck her cheek then hurriedly went to his car laughing. She stomped her feet and entered the house, her heartbeat accelerated and she held her chest and laughed.
 Unknowingly to her, someone was looking directly at her, she smirked and said,
“Well, well, well the prodigal daughter is finally back home. Did something happen between you and your husband?”
Her smile suddenly disappeared then she walked towards her slowly to her in a great aura and momentum. Her mother became suddenly anxious and walked back a few steps, she got to her with a sneer on her face and said,
“What? Are you afraid? Did you do something wrong? I will be going to the Sharon’s Group Of Companies tomorrow will you stop me?”
She shook her head hurriedly but then saw the influence Sheila was having on her then broke out of her trance and said,
“You…you I’m your mother, why are you acting this way towards me?”
“You always keep repeating that you are my mother? Why? I know you are my mother so why the unnecessary repetitions?” said Sheila looking straight into her eyes.
She walked pass her to the house and she held her hand and asked,
“Where do you think you are going?”
“To my room, dare you stop me? Where is Ben? We are home alone right? I will show you what I can actually do to the abusive mother. ” Sheila asked brewing in anger.
She let her hand go because of the fire she saw in her eyes.
What happened to this girl? Why the sudden change?’ she thought.
Sheila entered the house with a smile on her face and ascended the stairs with happiness filled in her heart. After entering her room, she saw that she had nothing in the room but she happily hit her chest and said,
“I finally made it inside, what a good actress I am. I think I should join the movie industry, God look at her reaction because of this small act. ”
She remembered and then her headache set in. She took her bag and took a medicine from it and swallowed a pill from it.
‘This small reminder and a headache, I might get total amnesia in no time but before that, I should write down everything I remember before that. Even if I am in pain starting from that day. ’ she thought.
The next morning, King got to the house as early as he could and waited for her a little far off her house with a cap on his head to avoid unnecessary attention.
 Then he got out of the car and stood beside the car and started peeking at their house from a corner. He laughed at himself and thought,
‘Damn, someone might even think that I am a stalker this way, but she might not call me to pick her up but pick a taxi on her way out. ’
He stood there for an hour but then she still hadn’t come out. He felt irritated and angry but then a little fear lingered in his heart.
‘Could it be she is in trouble? ’ he thought in fear.
Thirty minutes later, he felt he couldn’t wait any longer and drove to her house and got out of it and entered the house without even knocking. He opened the main door and scanned the place but saw no one, he remembered Ben had told him where Sheila’s room was located so he ran up the stairs to her room. He knocked on it loudly but there was no reply, he knocked on it once again and shouted,
“Sheila! Sheila open the door” but still no answer.
He was about to open the door when he saw Ben come out of his room only in his boxer, he ignored him and opened the door but his feet stilled when he saw Sheila’s mother head peeping out of Ben’s room. He looked at Ben once again then entered the room to see her lying on her bed. He ran to her and shook her but she was motionless, he took her in his arms and…
