LIS: 41

SHE WAS WEARING a black minx coat, maroon mini skirt, and wedge shoes. It seemed like the woman’s pale legs were not affected by the cold. Min Ji’s timing was really off, for real.
“Min Ji, good evening. What are you doing here?" Carter asked in confusion.
"Waeje messiji reulbat jjianchyo?"
Carter pulled out his cellphone and moaned when he saw Min Ji’s messages. “I did not ignore your messages. I am busy. I told you that you must speak English when we are together,” he said calmly.
"You, she, date?" the woman asked and pointed at Cheska. “Aish! Me important. Nongo jin mal jaengiya.”
“I am not a liar. This is work. I already told you that we can’t have a lesson for a week. ”
“Work? Mworago work?” The woman blasted out in Korean as she pointed at Cheska and glared at her.
Carter pushed Cheska behind him. “Min Ji, don’t call my friend a bitch. I’ve been through a lot of trouble recently and she helped me out.”
“I doesn’t care!” Min Ji shouted and put her hands on her hips.
"That's supposed to be ‘I don't care’," Cheska couldn’t help correcting the woman’s grammar.
“Mworago? You teach me English? Is you teacher?” Min Ji once again was glaring at Cheska.
Cheska wanted to brush her face with her hand out of stress. Min Ji’s English was exhausting her. She gave up. Her brain was already bleeding. She couldn’t follow the woman’s English words anymore. Min Ji also didn’t seem like she would take any correction because she has her own version.
Cheska was not critical to those who don’t know how to use proper English grammar. But she just couldn't take this woman's attitude as if she should be the only priority Carter have in life. But she had no right to tell the woman that Carter and his family were going through a hard time. That Min Ji should not give Carter more things to worry about. Cheska just kept her feelings and thought to herself, or she might lose control and do something to shut up this bitch that she would regret later.
"Excuse me." She slightly touched Carter’s arm. "I will buy Yakult, Nae Sarang."
She should just stay out of Carter and Min Ji’s business. She didn’t want Carter to get more in trouble and she didn’t want to add their personal issues. She left Carter and Min Ji, even when she was having second thoughts about it. But it was better than the two had their time to talk about whatever it was between them that they needed to talk about.
"Nae Sarang?" Min Ji's eyes widened again. The woman's litany continued once again as her eyes glared at Cheska. She might not understand what the woman said but it was clear that Min Ji was questioning why she was calling Carter ‘nae sarang’.
Carter rubbed his neck and looked up. “I like you. I will explain why she calls me nae sarang.”
“No explain! Imong chong hannyona! You stupid little bitch! ”
Carter immediately come between Cheska and Min Ji when the latter tried to reach Cheska. “Don’t call her a bitch. She’s my friend.”
Min Ji’s voice was on a high pitch and was even on the verge of hitting Carter with her bag. Cheska was confused as she stood behind Carter. Why does everyone seem to have a violent reaction about her calling Carter ‘nae sarang’? Was there anything in those words that she shouldn’t use it too lightly?
A car stopped not far from them. A brown-haired Caucasian man came out of the car. “Hey, Min Ji! What is going on here?”
Aggressive Min Ji suddenly became like a tamed, tender cat. She smiled and greeted the man with a hug. She was a little shocked when Min Ji kissed Brownie on the lips. Not just a simple smack but a torrid kiss that could get an SPG rating if it was part of a show on tv.
Carter’s shoulder tensed. It must have been like a slap to him to see the woman he loves kiss another man. It must have hurt a lot. The woman acting like this when only a few moments ago, Min Ji has been furious because Carter chose to spend his time with Cheska.
Was Min Ji trying to get even with Carter?
"I miss you," the woman said breathlessly.
"Miss you, too, babe," the man said as he squeezed Min Ji’s butt. It was not actually something that you should flaunt in public.
"And that bastard…"
Carter was about to rush to defend Min Ji's pride but Cheska stopped him. “Carter… just a moment. Look at them.”
Min Ji doesn't look offended as she continued to flirt with Mr. Brownie. She was even encouraging it.
