"Hey!" the guy smiled as they approached them. "Are they your friends, Min Ji?"
"Aniyo," Min Ji answered, shaking her head. Then pointed at Carter while her arm was wrapped around the man’s waist. “Those are Carter, my English tutor. And those her friend. ” She pointed at Cheska after as if was forced to introduce her to maintain a good image in front of the man.
"Hi!" Mr. Brownie greeted them and shook hands with Carter. “I am Edward. D-do you understand English?”
"Perfectly," Cheska replied without hesitation.
"I am obviously the English tutor," Carter said in a voice mixed with animosity.
Edward rubbed his forehead. “Yes, right. How stupid of me.”
"Boyfriend my Edward," Min Ji declared happily.
"What?" she asked Carter who also turned to her confused about what Min Ji just said. 
"Is she your girlfriend?" Carter asked. “Are you in a relationship?”
“Yes. It is quite new,” Edward said, squeezing Min Ji's arm. “I am a talent scout here in Korea. She wouldn’t let me go. She wants me to bring her to the United States but her English is not that good.”
“Ah! Me good English. Me study one year,” Min Ji defended and raised a finger.
“She just met you?" Carter asked through gritted teeth.
"Tornado romance-su," Min Ji proudly whispered. She must have meant ‘whirlwind romance’.
Cheska touched Carter’s arm when she noticed he was trying to keep his anger. He was Min Ji’s tutor for one year, and yet she didn’t even reciprocate his feelings right. Just like not learning enough English despite all her effort. Then she would just go with a man she just met all because of a promise that he would take her to the US. She even had the nerve to introduce him to Carter. The painful thing was that Min Ji even accused 
Carter that he was cheating on her and that he didn’t give her enough importance. 
Cheska closed her eyes tightly as she felt as if something stabbed her heart. She was hurting for Carter. He had given his love to Min Ji and yet she still hurt him and made a fool out of him. Someone please stop me before I do something with this woman. I want to hang her upside down on the zipline from Gapyeong to Nami Island and at the same time, I will let her be beaten by fire ants so that she can feel the pain that Carter is feeling now.
Edward clasped his own hands. “Will you help my girlfriend? She needs to polish her English. She has a go-see tomorrow for a commercial. She needs to memorize some English lines. She told me that you help her for free. Can you help her for free again? She really needs help so badly.”
"What a thick-faced," Cheska whispered when she saw Min Ji giving Carter sultry looks.
Cheska couldn’t believe there was someone or there’s a woman like this one who exists. Did she expect Carter would still help her after the way she treated him and even introduced him to her boyfriend? Did she not have any decency left in her? Did she actually think she could fool Carter again?
But she saw Carter was still staring at Min Ji. There was no anger in his eyes anymore. It was placed with sadness and longing instead. It was as if he wished that it was him next to Min Ji, the one she calls her boyfriend.
What if he was really mad in love? That he accepted Min Ji has a boyfriend and that she made a fool out of him but he would still help her in hopes that the woman would notice him?
Carter, please, don't lower yourself like that. Turn your back on her. You don’t deserve someone like her. You can still find someone who will love you completely. Someone who wouldn’t cheat on you. Someone who will not make you feel like a fool.
But she knew she couldn’t do anything if Carter would still choose Min Ji. Her heart will just cry. She couldn’t do anything if Carter was such a martyr in love. She couldn’t judge his heart, especially if she don’t know how he feels.
Carter shook his head. “No. I am sorry. I am busy. I am tired and I have students who are preparing for their university entrance exam. And Min Ji knows that.” He slightly bowed and apologized. "Mianhamnid.”
He said no! He rejected Min Ji.
“Man, Min Ji is the next superstar. You are missing your chance,” Edward said and placed his palm under Min Ji's chin. “How can you say no to this?”
"If she's the next superstar, I'm sure you can find someone else to teach her," Carter said in a calm voice.
