“It’s an endearment? And you didn’t even tell me?” she scowled at him and crossed her arms over her chest.
“I am sorry but I love the sound of nae sarang on your lips. It sounds so right. Are you mad at me?"
She wanted to get angry because she felt like he made fun of her. But when she remembered how annoyed Min Ji was when she called Carter Nae Sarang, she felt better. Min Ji was out of his life. And she was the one who stayed by his side. She still won.

“You’re such a rascal, Carter. You’re lucky you’re brokenhearted now so I’m gonna be lenient with you.”
"What can I do to make it up to you?" he asked. "How about a free pass to touch my abs? Will that be enough?”
“I just want to see you smile, Carter. I want you to be happy, just like what you wanted for me. That's all that matters to me as your friend.” She emphasized the word "friend" so that he would not think there was anything else with it other than pure friendship.
He grabbed her hand and kissed the back of her hand. “Thank you. I hope when you found Doc Darryl’s grave, you would also find that one person that will make you happy.”
I already found you. You’re the one who makes me happy. She couldn’t say she was in love with Carter. It is too early to tell. But her heart is crying out his name.
"What do you want to sing?" he asked, holding the remote control.

CHESKA ALMOST DRAGGED herself out of bed the next day. She only slept for four hours because she and Carter managed to get home by three in the morning. But they surely had a great time. But her throat aches coz of her non-stop singing and her head ached thanks to the alcohol that they drank.
But it was her laundry day. No matter how much she wanted to just stay because of the hangover, she needed to stick with her schedule. Since she couldn’t go on tour today, Tita Selina offered to teach her how to make kimchi and other traditional Korean food. And she was excited. Her parents would surely be thrilled to see her cook. They might even have a mass just for her.
She really had no patience with cooking. But for her parents, it was a sign that she was ready to get married. It was also a big step for her. She was starting to spread her wings. She was not afraid to try out new things these days. She had a feeling she could discover a lot of things about herself. 
"You’re up already?" Carter asked. He was wearing dark blue jogging pants and a gray jacket. "You can sleep for a few more hours if you want.”
“I want to start early for my laundry. I don’t want to miss Tita Selina’s cooking lesson later.” Cooking lesson outside was pricey, while Tita Selina’s offer was for free. 
He took her laundry. “I'll do this for you. Just relax and I’ll bring you some green tea.”
She tried to take the laundry bin from him. "Hey! Don't mess with that. I don’t just let others do my laundry for me. I don’t want you to find something in there.”
"You look like an old couple," Carter's mother said while watching them from the kitchen door. “Your father and I were like that before. We always argue over the laundry because he didn’t want me to get tired of washing clothes all day. That’s the reason why I said yes to him. He didn’t mind doing household chores for me.”
"And no matter how good I am, still I was being left behind,” Carter said in a quiet voice.
“Hmp! Let go of that Min Ji. She’s a fool to pick someone else over you. Just like me,” the old woman whispered softly and turned away. Tita Selina seemed like she didn’t want others to see her emotion. “Argue with the laundry later. Breakfast is almost read.”
“So, your father’s a good man. What happened to him and Tita Selina, if you don’t mind me asking.”
