"Happy birthday, Chase!" Everyone greeted him as we entered the room. They sang happy birthday before letting Wyatt blow the candle.
"Thank you." He thanked them then faced Tita. "Where's our room, mom?" He asked as I yawned. I'm still sleepy.
We went to the room tita told us. Wyatt put down all the paper bags on the floor while I lay on the bed. "I'm going to sleep again. How about you?"
"I'll sleep too." He said as he walked to the bed and sat on the corner of it. "Do you want to eat breakfast?" He asked as he removed my heels.
"Maybe later. Are you hungry?" I asked him back and he shook his head before laying beside me. "Let's sleep again." I said as he hugged me and pressed his face on my neck.
"I love you so much, Gracie." I heard him say it before I fell asleep. When I woke up he's not on my side anymore so I stood up and wore my heels before going out. "Gracie, you're awake." Wyatt said as soon as I opened the door.
"You guys are drinking already? It's still so early." I said as I sat beside Wyatt.
"Para maagang matapos." Bethany said to me and chuckled.
"12 is not early, Reese." Tianna said which made me look at Wyatt. It's 12 already?
"I didn't wake you up. I know that you're tired and want to sleep more." Wyatt said to me and then he stood up and so did I. We walked to the kitchen and mom and tita were there. "Let's eat. What do you want?" He asked as we looked at the foods on the kitchen island.
I ate Carbonara while he ate rice. "How can you guys live together when you two have a different want of food?" Tita asked, which made me look at Wyatt because he always compromises.
"We compromise mom. We always eat the same food at home. We eat whatever she feels like cooking." Wyatt answered tita. "She knows how to cook now."
"You teached me well." I said to him as I fed him carbonara. "Just taste it, Wyatt. It's delicious." I said and chuckled. He hates carbonara.
"Hindi masarap." He said which made me look at tita who's already glaring at him because of what he said which made me laugh. "I didn't mean it, mom."
"You mean it. You never say things you don't mean." I said to him and continued laughing and stopped when he fed me a spoonful of his food! I had a hard time as I swallowed the food. "Wyatt, hindi masarap. You know I hate paksiw na bangus!"
"Tita hindi raw masarap oh." Wyatt said which made me look at mom who's glaring at me and chuckled nervously.
"Mom, no. I won't eat it. I'm going." I said and I held my plate as I stood up before running to our room. I sat on the bed and the door opened revealing Wyatt who's still laughing. "Love, stop na. It's not funny na."
"Don't be conyo, Graciella." He said and stopped laughing which made me chuckle. "Tita said that she'll cook every dish you hate and serve it to us."
"I hope she cooks garlic mushroom cauliflower skillet. She knows that I hate it but since you told me to try it, I realized that I love it." I said to him and he chuckled.
"I requested that to tita because you seem not satisfied with our version of it." He said and chuckled. "Anyways, continue eating. Do you want cake?"
After eating Wyatt and I went to our friends and they drank. Just them because Wyatt and I weren't drinking since it's still too early.
At dinner mom really serves the foods that I hate but I'm very much happy because there's a garlic mushroom cauliflower skillet. I was about to get my food when Wyatt snatched my plate and gave his plate full of cauliflower. "Is this mine?" I asked and he nodded. He got his own food and then we started eating.
"Taste this, it's creamy. You'll like it." He said and fed me a spoonful of his food. "It's beef and mushroom."
"That's what bestfriends do, Tianna." I heard Leon whisper to Tianna which made me chuckle before looking at Wyatt.
"It's delicious. Can I have more?" I asked and he nodded. "Don't you hate creamy food?"
"Not really. I just don't like carbonara." He said and chuckled. "This version of cauliflower is much different than ours."
Months have passed and it's already our 6th anniversary. But the thing is the day feels so normal.
"Love, wake up. We'll be late." I said to Wyatt because he's still asleep. He went home really late last night. "Wake up. They're already waiting for us." We have a scheduled brunch with our parents today.
"I'm awake. Good morning, love." He said as he sat down. "I'll go take a shower." He said and kissed me on my cheeks before standing up and heading to the bathroom.
We arrived at the restaurant but he didn't greet me. I was looking at his face until we arrived at our table. "Happy anniversary!" Our parents greeted us but my eyes stayed at Wyatt's face waiting for his reaction.
"Thank you." He thanked them and smiled before looking at me. "Why are you glaring at me?"
"Nothing. Let's eat. I'm hungry already." I said and sat on a vacant chair. "Thank you for inviting us for brunch even though you guys are busy."
"It's nothing. We can't afford to miss your anniversary. Right, Traci?" Tita asked mom and she nodded.
"Today is a special day. We should make it even though we're busy." Mom said, which made me look at Wyatt who's silently eating. "Chase, your mom and I will take Reese out for girls time. Are you fine with it?" Please say no.
"Yeah, sure." Wyatt answered, which made me sighed. How can he say yes when today is our anniversary? We should spend time together. "Where are you going?" Wyatt asked when I stood up.
"Bathroom." I said and then excused myself before walking away. As soon as I entered the bathroom I locked the door as I tried my best not to cry and to compose myself. "Wait." I said when I heard Wyatt outside the bathroom. I wiped the tear that escaped my eyes before opening the door. "Love. What is it?" I asked as I gave him a smile but as I smiled a lone tear fell on my cheek.
"Iyakin talaga." He said and chuckled as he wiped the tear on my cheek. "Happy 6th anniversary, my love. I'm sorry for not greeting you at 12 am and for not going home early last night. I'll make it up to you tomorrow." He said and kissed my nose.
"Why tomorrow? Ngayon dapat, Chastille." I said and he just chuckled. "Ngayon gusto ko, Chastille."
"Tomorrow. You'll spend time with mom and tita today. I already said yes, I can't withdraw." He said as he gently dragged me with him. "You should eat a lot, love."
After eating brunch with them. I left with mom and tita since I don't really have a choice. And the first store we went to was at Tiffany & co.
"I like this one. It's pretty, right?" Tita asked me as she let me see a graduated line necklace "You agreed. I'll buy this for you. I don't accept no."
"I'll buy this one for you." Mom said as she let me see a Tiffany true diamond necklace, which made me immediately say no. "I also don't accept no."
"Let's buy earrings and bracelets." Tita said as they dragged me with them. "I like this one. How about you, Reese?" Tita asked me as she showed me link earrings in rose gold so I shook my head. "I'll take this one. This will look good on you."
"This is beautiful. I'll get this one." Mom said as she showed us inside-out hoop Earrings. "I'll take this one too. Magagamit mo sa araw-araw, Reese." Mom added as she showed us another earring, a mixed cluster earrings Tiffany Victoria.
They bought bracelets and brooches and even more necklaces which is stressing me out since most of them are mine! I'm now thinking about robbery. I won't be able to sleep at a house that has millions of peso worth of jewelry.
"We're still not done yet, we'll go to Marina Heights now." Tita said and I feel like I want to just call Wyatt and take me out of here. "The penthouse that we bought is great, right Theresa?" Mom asked tita, which made me sighed. Not again.
"You don't want to live in Marina Heights, Reese?" Tita asked so I shook my head. "Too bad. You guys will live there."
I can't help but sighed while listening to them talking about things. This was the first time I got stressed because of them. "Traci. We forgot to get our nails done." Tita said out of the blue. "We need to go back." She added that we did just to get our nails done by their favorite nail technician and went back on our way to Marina Heights.
When we arrived at the penthouse they're talking about, I can't help but to be amazed because it is so beautiful and it's fully furnished. They took me on a tour as they say that it's Wyatt and I's house.
"Graciella." I heard Wyatt's voice behind me which made me look behind and was greeted by his warm hug. "How are you? Did you relax?"
"I'm so stressed with everything, love. They bought me jewelry that cost millions of pesos! Where are we going to put those? I don't want it to be at the condo. I won't feel safe." I said and he nodded. "When did you get here?"
"Did you know that this is our new home? That we'll be living here after our trip?" He asked so I nodded but the trip caught my attention. "That should be a surprise but nevermind."
"What's with today, love? Ang gastos ata nila ngayon." I whispered to Wyatt and he chuckled. "Hindi kaya ma-bankrupt yung business nila?"
"Chase! Reese! Let's go. We need to go." I heard Tito's voice and Wyatt gently dragged me with him.
"I thought today was a normal day. It's freaking crazy, not normal." I whispered and Wyatt just chuckled. "Happy anniversary, love." The next location is a beach. "Don't tell me that this is a gift for us again?" I asked and Wyatt laughed.
"No, love. It's now my gift, not theirs." He said so my eyes widened. "No, not the beach. You'll be mad at me if I give you a beach." He said and chuckled.
"It's good to know that you know." I said to him and chuckled. "They're weird kanina. Malapit na kami sa Marina Heights then bumalik kami sa nail tech nila to fix our nails."
"'Cause when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while. Cause girl you're amazing, just the way you are!" He suddenly sang, which made me stop. "When I look into your eyes, I can see a reflection of the two of us and the life I hope we'll share together."
"Love, you're so random. What is this?" I asked as I felt like tearing up.
"Graciella, you deserve the very best, someone who will back you up without limits, let you grow without borders, and love you without end. Will you let me be the one?" He asked as he knelt down which made me realize that he's proposing! "Graciella Reese Solis. I do, do you?" He asked and I nodded as I wiped the tears that kept falling down onto my cheeks.
"I do, Wyatt. It would be an honor to marry you—absolutely yes." I answered and I watched him put the ring as tears kept steaming down in my cheeks. "I love you, Wyatt."
"I love you so much, Gracie. Thank you, my love." He said and kissed me then suddenly I heard people screaming happily. "Everyone witnessed it. It's sealed, love. You can't withdraw anymore." He whispered before kissing me again.
"Love, everyone is here. Nahihiya ako." I said as I pulled away from the kiss and he chuckled. I look at the surroundings and I just realize that there's a lot of petals on the sand. "I should've known earlier if I saw the petals."
"Congratulations!" Pia and Jaxon congratulated us in unison. And then everyone started congratulating us.
"My niece will be thrilled. Her parents are engaged already." Bry said, which made me and Wyatt laugh but our parents got confused.
