Enormous downpours, the noise of raindrops, laughter, and shouts. They were jogging back and forth while laughing and yelling like those children in the street, playing. The gushing rain makes them smile with happiness as they let the rough wind embrace their skin. They are enjoying the pastime as they run all along the streets, chuckling and baffled upon what to do next. The contentment they are feeling right now was priceless! Who would think that they'll be experiencing this kind of enjoyment? "Hey, let's go up to the South Bridge!" Hase Rutledge said with an exclamation while waving his hands to the other two who were now running in his direction. "What's in there?" Hugh Turner asked in confusion, he never got there and the thought that they might get into trouble was still on his mind so he was being careful all through the way. "It was known for having the purest lake, there are lots of fishes there, too. Let's check it out!" excitement could be felt in Rutledge's voice, his smiles couldn't be wiped out. He just likes how everything goes on by plan, he wants to schedule some time for him to enjoy, and being with his acquaintances makes him happier. "Really, eh? Isn't it too far from here? You see we've been roaming around the town." Kendall said and eyed the whole place. Strangers were looking at them, feeling confused and a bit surprised. Who else as young men and women will play in the middle of heavy rain? Most young people today are more focused on gadgets. "It's right ahead of us, I'm sure you will enjoy it there," Hase replied, Kendall then nodded her head and agreed to his idea while Hugh on the other hand was about to get pissed because of annoyance. He shook his head when Hase and Kendall ran away from him again, it seemed like they were the only two enjoying themselves. But he was glad still because the three of them had been having fun like never before. It's quite unusual for him to process every moment because he never imagined that they would have such bonding moments despite their situations. He followed them, he was chasing the two until they reached the Southbridge. "Whoa," The three of them paused when they saw the whole area of South Castrill bridge, it was a gigantic roadway made with rocks-over to the other part of the territory, underneath the bridge was a wide river heading down to the Erast Village. "I didn't know it was so beautiful! Where is the lake?" Amusement could be seen on Kendall Von's face as she watches the river flow under the bridge. Their mouths gaped open upon seeing how delightful the place was, it seems that they never noticed it ever since because they were so overwhelmed by the assignments they were doing. "Let's go check the other side!" Hase once more shouted and rushed his way to the middle part of the bridge. Kendall let out a chuckle and ran after him, Hugh on the other hand was left behind again. "Damn that asshole," He whispered because of irritation, he couldn't accept the fact that Hase is stealing Kendall's attention from him. They were amused upon seeing the nicest scenery and views before their eyes, the vast field was displayed and it gave a calming mood to the travelers, passing by. "This thing right here is cute," Hugh commented upon noticing a well-shaped rock, it's quite tough and it was shaped like a little man. His company caught his attention and they rushed their way towards his way, to see what it was all about. "It looks adorable yet odd!" Hase exclaimed and he poke the little rock. They were like those little children, adoring everything they passed by. "Let's find more of it!" Kendall exclaimed and headed her way, with a smile. It seems like they are not those paid murderers who assassinate random people mercilessly, they look innocent-more like an ignorant child. They enjoyed each moment they had. As they arrived at the said fish pond, Kendall Von attempted to have a hitch but Hugh eventually glared at her-stopping her from what she was planning to do. "Let's bring some to the mansion!" she blurted and gazed at the fishes on the pond with her brows met. "We can buy any fish you want, just don't bring anything to the mansion." Hugh Turner said with his usual tone of voice which would make you think he's annoyed. She then crossed her arms and pouted her lips, sadness can be seen in her eyes. She was now watching the fishes like any moment she'll hook them with her bare hands. Rutledge's laughter echoed in the entire place upon witnessing such a moment. They tried to bring back her mood but it seems like she's starting to get annoyed. Her glare will make you think that she'll point a knife at your throat. Eventually, the two men were forced to capture and bring some to the mansion. They placed it in a small bucket and they frowned upon remembering that they'd be doomed if the headmaster would know. Beside the pond, there was a sign which explained that they prohibited the swarming fishes from catching them. They didn't glance at it and completely neglected it. "Let's hurry back to the mansion, I'm hungry again," Kendall uttered and so they rushed back home. Silence suffocates the whole atmosphere as Lucas' anger was kindled upon seeing his favorite people damp. They were at the field and beside him was the other man whom he trusted, Maxwell Ross. The three of them got caught the moment they arrived at the entrance as they were about to enter the hall secretly. The rain didn't stop and it rinsed upon the beautiful flowers in the garden, but the pleasing aura of its beauty didn't agree with the fury which Lucas was grasping. "I see that you're all drenched, mind telling me where have you been?" The old man, Lucas Patterson, questioned as he tried to overcome the resentment he felt. But there was no explanation to be heard. "Aren't you going to answer my question?" His voice-full of authority, covers the setting. The three remained at their head low, they didn't expect the sudden arrival of Kendall's father. Even the maiden was also frightened by the presence of her Dad. They seem to have forgotten the sheer pleasure they had felt before. "... Kendall?" her father called which made her heart pound so fast because of the tension she is feeling right at the moment. "It was my idea, Dad. I'm sorry, we just want to have fun-" her words were cut off as she stuttered, Lucas glared at her. He despises it whenever one of them talks back in a way he doesn't contemplate. "Did I ever tell you to have leisure, Kendall? I told you to get done with your training!" She bit her lower lip, preventing herself from sobbing. Little did she know that she would still feel this way whenever her father scolded her. She did what she could to be a better daughter to him but maybe it wasn't enough to satisfy her Father. He wants her to be better at her training-he wants her to be strong enough to fight for herself. That's the only thing that will make him feel proud of his daughter, but Kendall Von is being hard-headed as for him. "You know I don't like the idea you came up with but you kept going! Haven't I disciplined you enough? Never waste your time, having fun to some useless things. Focus on your drill." Lucas fixed his attention to the two young men who couldn't utter a word to respond to his concerns. They want to protest that it's never been Kendall's fault but they know they would be criticized if they do so. "Ross, call the other men. Sentence them." The shoulders of the three seemed to have fallen, they were expecting it but there was still a part of them that disliked the intention. "Shit, Maxwell," Hugh whispers when Lucas Patterson walks out, he heads to his office because he has a lot of things to manage and fix. These past few days, Lucas kept going out of the country because of their corporations. Maxwell Ross called the other members of the team and Hugh cussed in his heart upon seeing their wide grin. He heard their conversation and he wants to escape from their grip. He knows that they have disastrous motives more than what Lucas wants. "Bring them to the basement," the lad said and glanced at them. "Lucas told me so," his grin on his edges couldn't be taken away, Kendall cussed when he stroked her hair, Hugh clenched his fist, trying to control his resentment while Hase was gritting his teeth, as well. Von wants to fight back-shove Maxwell on the face, but it would worsen the situation. They know that there's no escape now, they need to face the consequences of their actions-even if they know that they'll withstand death.
