I Reminisce The Day

The warmth of the sun dwells in the atmosphere and it causes the leaves to appear dry yet the cool wind opposes the vibes. It is nice weather to take a walk and behold the nice scenery.
"Where have you been, Von? Damn. I'm so worried!" Hugh Turner was the one who greeted Kendall first as she entered the mansion. Even if we say that she is in the mood, she is still disgusted with what previously occurred with them, so even his partner Hugh was being ignored.
She smirked at him and raised her brows while passing in his direction. He called for her a few times but she didn't even bother to look back at him.
"That girl, damn. Why do I sense that she has this big problem with me? Tsk, she should be thankful now because I like her. I can always grab my gun and point it to her head."
Hugh Turner sighed and headed his way outside. He guesses that perhaps he must go to his favorite spot to have a moment with himself. He took out his phone and browsed the internet, "This Cafe must be a good place to stay for a while?" he muttered and searched for the nice Cafe in the city.
"Renesmee is probably there," he once again retorted and walked his way towards the city.
Renesmee Fuentes on the other hand, was now at Fustallo's Bar. It was located in the same district where the huge lake occurred. She comfortably sat at the bar counter while sipping a drink. She decided to stop by and have a drink for a while, she knows that this day was so wonderful but she could not think straight as a thought came up in her mind.
"I met some interesting people today," she whispered and smirked. The bartender who assisted her handed her another glass of liquor, she drank from it and had a huge gulp. The taste of bitterness evaded her throat and she flinched.
She finds Astrid so interesting and the moment she glances at her she just knows that something's with the woman. There is this urge that she badly wants to know more. Maybe she knew her already but had forgotten everything?
About Kendall Von, she likes teasing her. The images were really familiar to her yet it saddens her heart to realize that she cannot remember any single memory from the past with the same scenarios. "Another one please!" She ordered and placed the glass on the table, the bartender then filled another drink and it went as the same scenario until midnight.
Renesmee let herself be drowned with wine and that very same night, somebody assisted her and took her home. “Who are you?”
Fire. Loud screams. Blood. The town of Castrill was attacked and a massive number of people were killed. The noise of their cries filled the corner of their villages and a stream of red was scattered on the road. “Mama!” cries the little girl as she hid behind the ruined museum’s wall. She was too afraid and her innocent eyes were tainted with dullness and fear. She was aching in pain while attempting to prevent the blood from her wound from gushing out.
“Search for the rest who are alive! We need to wipe out the town, let no one be found breathing!” An aggressive tone of voice echoes in the scorched place, a man wearing a black suit walks down the road with a cigarette puffed in his right hand. His glares were fierce and he possessed a ghastly presence. He ordered his men to steal the portion of the town and erase some of the buildings to make space for his businesses. An evil man who does not show single mercy to anyone else.
“What have you done, brother?” He simply let a wide grin escape from his edges before he could have a glance at the young man who talks apathetically.
“What made you come after me? I thought you didn't want to see me kill everyone in town?”
“Enough with your childish side, Lucas. Hurry up and get away from my sight, I will be the one to finish this business,” his brother simply smirks before he clenches his fist and flees from the spot. Out of frustration, he threw off his cigarette and cursed the name of his brother in his mind. “Darn you, Larkin.”
Lucas Patterson permits his younger brother to finish off what he has started. He knew in the very first place that he is nothing compared to Larkin, he is aware of it. He was looking for a perfect time to assassinate his sibling; he cannot afford to see himself being outcasted in terms of wealth and intelligence. “You feel shitty again?” A woman greeted him when he walked toward his car which was parked near the scourged gallery.
“Oh, I see that it is because of Larkin. Did he kick you off again? This has been done a thousand times, what do you think?” Lucas was about to tee off, he disliked hearing his brother's name and he despised being compared to him.
“You know I can’t kiss you like before whenever you’re making fun of me, do you?” Lucas begins with, he sat on the driver’s seat and glared at the woman who seductively smiled at him.
What is it this time?”
“I could just shoot your head with this gun and you’d be silent.”
The woman automatically shuts her mouth. She is well aware that Lucas was not jerking around. He drove off and went his way to his mansion. He has a lot of stuff to fix headlong. He needs to cover the bloodbath he has made and erase it from the public’s sight.
Meanwhile, Larkin chewed his gum and headed his way toward the buildings. He has ordered his men to scatter around and check if there are still people hiding and alive, unlike his brother, there is a little humanity left in him. However, he purposely wanted to double-check the area since he believed that there were a bunch of survivors lurking behind the corners.
“Sir, we found this child inside the museum unconscious.” One of his men approached his way and on his arm was a child sleeping, the little girl was bathed in red and upon seeing the poor kid, Larkin hastily received her in his arm and ran in his car.
“I will send her to the headquarters, tell them to look for more survivors. Kill the adults and spare the young ones, I need them for my experiment.”
He placed the child on the passenger’s seat and he simply gazed at her. “As long as you are in my hands, you will never taste the bitterness of life,” He whispered and drove off.
It was quiet and cold, and the little girl gently opened her eyes from a deep sleep. It has been days since the incident happened and she was taken care of by the custody officers inside the headquarters. “Mama?” she whispered and she gradually flinched when she felt the sudden sting from her wounds. Her bruises were tingling in pain and she could barely move.
“You’re awake now,” she was surprised upon seeing a woman, she was wearing a white uniform and she had a hint that it was a nurse. “Hold on, don’t make unnecessary movements, let me call Mr. Larkin,” the woman went outside the room and called for the man who takes an important role in running their business.
“She is awake, sir.” The nurse reported that he had a surprised look after hearing the good news.
They headed their way toward her room and the moment Larkin had his entrance, the child was looking at him with her innocent eyes. She does not know the guy before her, however, she feels confused due to how she senses safety by just seeing him. “How are you feeling?” The man throws off a question and walks nearby, seeing the girl makes him a bit proud of himself. He is deeply aware that his brother wants everyone dead in town; Larkin rescues some of the survivors whom he found days ago.
“Who are you?” the kid asks and he momentarily pauses and thinks of something to answer.
The man was about to open his mouth to respond, yet he stopped again when the kid retorted. “I don’t remember anything,” in a split second, she began to sob which made Larkin and the nurse feel uneasy. “Who are you?” the five-year-old kid asks once more. As usual, Larkin grinned and cleared his throat to introduce himself.
“I am Larkin Patterson, and I am the one who rescues you from the fires who eventually consumed the entire town of Castrill. I am also the one who manages this place,” he voiced out and the little girl stared at him in confusion. He is aware that the kid has forgotten half of her memories, they examined her ahead of time and he knew he wouldn't be having a single problem dealing with the little girl.
They noticed that the kid didn't bother to respond. She was silent yet her tears were like streams of water. “Poor child,” the nurse commented and Larkin heard her. “Do you remember your name?” the nurse spoke once again and the kid gently shook her head.
Her response made the headmaster fix his final decision, “You shall be named Renesmee Fuentes, for you will be reborn under my care and you will be loved.” Those words that were coming from his mouth made the child look at him with wonder.
“Renesmee, what a lovely name!” the nurse commented with a soft smile. “Are you feeling good, little Esme? Are you hungry? Let me make a snack for you, so you could regain your strength and become really strong.”
The nurse had her exit, and little Esme was left with the man Larkin. He was looking at her, and for the first time, he let go of a gentle smile. He could not put into words what he truly feels right at the moment, he wants to secure her. “Esme, what an adorable name,” he muttered and sighed in relief.
He was interrupted when the door swung open and a man in a lab gown greeted his sight. “What is it this time?” he asks.
“We found four other kids and they are badly wounded, sir.”
“Lead me the way,” In an instant, Larkin had his exit and left Renesmee for a moment. He wants to confirm something, and he wants to take them away from his brother, Lucas. “There is no way I shall let his filthy hands touch those kids, they are mine.”
