Road To Escape
"Have you seen her?" Kendall asks as she wanders her sight around the area, Maxwell secretly scans every corner of the place and he is expecting to see the target.
"I don't think she is here," he responded and shifted his gaze to look at the glass of wine on his grip. "Perhaps she'll be late?" He thought and leaned on the stool at the bar counter.
"Someone might have told her about our plan," his partner said, which made him turn his eyes to her.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
She leaned closer as she kept her eyes to observe the surroundings, "I am doubting Mara Rios," she muttered and drank from her glass of cocktail.
"You are simply accusing her," Maxwell stated yet he only received a glare. "Are you even serious?" He reassured and she simply responded with a nod.
They once again focus their sight on the event that presently takes place before them. "Why don't we try to participate in the play?" Kendall suggested which made Maxwell glance at her and eventually agreed on.
Mara watched the two as they had their way toward the gamble area, she remained quiet at the corner as she let her eyes roamed around to look for the said target, Fuentes. "She is taking a bit late, what is she even thinking?" She mumbled and observed the group of people as they had fun.
She sighs and sticks at the corner while drinking her cocktail, she is a bit confident that no one shall be able to recognize her because of her mask. She simply glances at the entrance to see if the lady she has been waiting for has finally arrived.
"What exactly happened to that girl?" She mumbled and overthink something. She quickened to calm herself and waited a bit longer.
Meanwhile, Renesmee Fuentes traipse her hills onto the stairs toward the entrance and she flipped the tips of her wavy pearly blinded hair as of a creamy vanilla which smells fragrant, her cartier diamond 585 white gold earrings were showing and she displays a seductive smiles as she greeted the guards at the gates.
"Good evening, Miss Fuentes." She simply nodded at the men and proceeded to walk until she finally reached inside.
Her cerulean irises wander around the wholesome of the place and she smirks upon seeing the woman she longs to meet. "She's got to be worthy to talk to," Renesmee mumbled and began to come near her.
"Esme!" Mara Rios greeted her with an impatient tone of voice. "You took so long—" her words were cut off the moment Renesmee began to speak.
"Let me have a drink for a while, hold on," before Mara could respond, she already walked away with her chin up. She knows she's in danger but being elegant will always be her aspect. If she dies being classy then so be it.
Mara observes her from afar and simply glances at the location of Maxwell Ross and Kendall Von. As Fuentes led her way towards the counter near the entrance, she accidentally bumped into a guy which made the man's phone fall flat on the ground. Their gaze met yet the next thing happened that caused chaos in the entire place.
"Oh damn!" Rutledge cussed and quickened to run away when a knife fled before their sight. Fuentes fell on the ground due to the sudden attack from unknown people and her eyes widened when the man whom she bumped on gently pulled her away from the crowd.
"Where are you even bringing me?!" Renesmee Fuentes hissed and attempted to get away from his grip but he became pressing all of a sudden and was serious of escaping with her.
"We're going to die lady," she heard him mumble and she rolled her eyes and followed him around. They once more heard another scream and a loud bang, confusion began to embrace on her body and she felt anxious.
'Damn, where is Mara?' she thought.
"Are you doing alright?" Hase Rutledge asked her as he began to pop his head behind the concrete wall of the room, attempting to see who started the threat.
"Do I seem to be fine?" Fuentes hissed and gritted her teeth in discomfort, she knows she was almost hit by the dagger if Rutledge did not push her.
'I almost got hurt out there,' she once again thought. She is no good when it comes to killing.
"Why would a beautiful lady like you appear in this kind of event? Are you a member or just a guest?" He asked which made her shut her mouth. She never wishes to uncover her secrets, there is no way she will be telling the truth.
"Lock your mouth," Fuentes let go of a sigh and took a glimpse of the occurrence. "Give me your gun," Hase Rutledge's face turned back to see her and he looked surprised upon seeing how serious she was.
"You gotta be kidding me, lady," he bit his lower lip and chuckled, yet his eyes widened the moment Fuentes hastened to take the gun from his grip.
"I don't care if I die, I want to kill the person who almost hunted me with a dagger," and she glared at the man named Hase. He was left dumbfounded and he gazed at her well-being and froze on his location upon seeing how she took courage to point the gun on the old man opposite their direction.
"Damn this girl," he whispered.
"What is going on?!" Kendall Von hissed as she knelt down the ground and hid behind the table. Her assistant, Maxwell Ross was busy exchanging bullets with their opponents.
"I have no idea, Von. I can see that they're attacking both parties," he responded and irritably threw off his gun when he was out of bullets. He falls to the ground and glances at his partner. "Let's go to the other side of the room, Hase is there."
"What?" Before she could even finish her words, he recklessly pulled her arm and grabbed her out behind their hidings. They ran across the compartment and Kendall almost lost her track when a bullet hit her leg. "Damn it! Did you bring me here to die?!" She screamed and barely let her foot run along the way.
"Well, obviously!" Her anger kindled upon hearing his response and so she carelessly grabbed his collar shirt and punched his face as hard as she could.
"What is that for?!"
"Stop fooling around moron! I can't even tell if you are being sarcastic or not!"
Both of them halted from running and they began to argue in the middle of chaos. "We need to go and find Fuentes! This is an order, Kendall. Once we come back to the mansion without her head, then we're dead." His voice became pressing yet Kendall eventually glared at him.
"Carry me, dumbass!" She commanded and took a deep breath as she endured the pain.
He did not resist, and so he carried her at his back until they finally went through the center. "Where is Hase? He's got to be here," Maxwell muttered and wander his eyes to his surroundings.
"Now he's missing," they both face palmed. "Get me out of here, I'll die out of blood loss."
On the other hand, Mara ran her way out upon seeing that Kendall was wounded. "I need to go back to the mansion before they arrive there," she whispered and quickened to depart from the place.
"What's with this abrupt attack?" Renesmee Fuentes hissed as she sneaked out of the area, yet before she could finally get out, someone called her name.
"Esme,"
She wanted to turn her back to see who owns the manly voice yet she doesn't want anyone to deceive her, it might be a trap. "Always be reminded to look at your right and left, you don't know who's going to betray you." Those final words made her stop and she clenched her fist.
"Who are you?" She questioned and was incapable of seeing his face. She felt bitter, yet sadly, the only thing she could do was to breathe heavily.
"Ask yourself, how do you destroy a monster without even becoming one?" A smirk escaped from his lips and he soon departed from the place. His words disturbs the young lady and it is too late for her to realize that the people around her were recklessly running outside due to a sudden fire which gradually coated the entire building.
"What are you waiting for, lady? Let's go," she came back to her senses the moment someone pulled her. She saw a face of a man, and she gazed at him deeply as if she was about to mesmerize his complexion.
'He's attractive,' she thought.
As they arrived at the bridge, both of them gasped for air and Hase Rutledge glanced at her direction. "Hey, are you alright?" He questioned but he only receives a peaceful stare.
"Where do you live? Allow me to drive you home," he stated and leaned his back at the post.
"... No, I'm fine. I brought my big bike with me, so no problem at all."
"I see," he remained quiet momentarily as he stayed there with her. He felt uneasy and he knew his life would be at risk yet he also thought that perhaps he could stay with her for the meantime.
"I don't understand why, the place was secured yet those idiots got in," Fuentes mumbled to herself and thought of it. Download Novelah App
