What is going on?, Why are they quarrelling, did something happen between them to stir up an issue?, I looked behind and saw that the house guard was looking at me, probably wondering what I am doing there, just standing out here and trying to listen to what's happening inside the house. With his suspection, I decided to just knock and go in there.
     “ Hello Ben, what brings you here?”.
Steve asked me, standing right at the door, not allowing me to come inside the house, I really don't want to press hard on going in there, so I gave him the information his father asked me to share with him, he decided to leave the door open as he walked off, heading to bring whatever package that was. Deborah was sobbing, I can hear her loud and clear, maybe this is the right time for me to make this move, I should go and console her, As I was about to open the door and go inside, the door was opened wide as Deborah stood right in front of me, still cleaning off her wet eyes.
     “ Debbie, what happened?, Why are you crying?...... Tell me Debbie, what's going on?”.
I know I was kind of pressing to hard, but I have to do so before Steve comes back down upstairs. I held her shoulders, trying to show her comfort, trying to make her realize that I will always be here for her no matter what, but something out of my expectation happened, she knocked off my hands.
“ Go away Ben..... Stop trying to be what you are not, we can never be more closer than just friends, I don't even find you attractive, stop pressing or you will end up jeopardizing our friendship ”.
She said, tears flowing down as she pushed me away by the side, walking past me and headed towards the exit, that's when I heard Steve coming down the stairs. I feel like I was petrified, I can't move any part of my body, just standing there, speechless, can't even go after her, my body is getting too heavy for my legs to carry, finding it hard to take in air into my lungs.
“ Ben!”.
I jerked up, hearing my name and feeling a hand on my shoulder, Steve was standing right in front of me, with that confused look on his face, probably wondering why I am in this state right now, the package was right at the floor, in front of both of us, his hand still on my shoulder, waiting for me to say something.
     “ Ben what happened?, Tell me...... Was it Deborah?”.
I looked up, right into his eyes, felt my tears flowing down my cheeks, I am broken right now, wish I had never stepped foot here, wish I could have just headed somewhere else than here, Deborah just told me everything I have been asking myself, she just confirmed to me that we can never work, if not just friends, we're never meant to be.
     “ Come here man ”.
Steve got his arms around me, giving me a hug, as if he knew I needed it, it was still today that we went out to have fun, and we are to end it with the bitter side of it, which makes it absolutely interesting.
     I know all this, but being the victim is really what you definitely don't want to be, I have patiently waited for her my whole life, but she just summarized everything I have done just under a minute, and yet I never benefited from it, I am really broken in many different pieces right now, each of my piece have something to do with Deborah inside of it.
     “ I don't know if I should say this, I really don't wanna get ahead of myself but I feel like I have to, at least to a friend and brother..... Sometimes you gotta let go man, don't hold back the pain because it's never going to allow you to move on, let it flow, evaporate it from your mind as quick as possible, then you will realize that you are much more than you thought ”.
     I really don't understand what he just said, my mind is so out of place that I can't put all he just said together, Rose left me with something today, now Steve have just given me another. 
     “ I have to go ”, I got myself free from his hug, turned my back and headed for my exit.
     “ What about the package Ben!?”.
I didn't reply him, just continued on my way until I left the gate, I have to go home, home is all I can think of right now.
