Chapter 40 Mark me yours (18+ Only)

Chapter 40 - Mark me yours
His lips curved into a smile as he intertwined their fingers. "Xia Na, thanks for bringing happiness to my life. Maybe, I did some good deeds in a past life to have you by my side."
A grin spread all over her face.
When his eyes stared into her eyes as a moon gazed longingly at the stars.
His gaze slowly shifted to her lips as he leaned closer to her, heating the atmosphere.
He caressed her hair strand gently and supported her chin with his other hand while gently pressing his lips against her.
It was warm, full of tenderness.
She could enhance the fragrance she missed the most.
His lips tasted the same as before, sweet and juicy. But every time, the feelings were different.
Their breaths intermixed as it was hard to guess which belongs to whom?
He was the best kisser, yet sometimes, he made her feel out of breath.
Sucking every corner of her lip, he lowkey bit as a moan escaped her mouth. She ran her hand through his hair, messing around.
They almost became one when he stopped it.
Confused, she asked. "Why did you stop?"
"I don't want to go against your will. Can I mark you as mine, Xia Na? I don't want you to regret anything about us."
"As long as it's you, Ling Xiao, I won't regret it."
Staring deep down in his eyes, she felt right. As she knew, he was the right person for her.
A smile reached his eyes.
Moving, he started sucking her chest, playing with the nipples that made her a moaned mess.
Her moans and his growl were playing the best tune in the room.
Licking her belly, he sent shivers of pleasure down her spine.
Her body was swaying while he kept enjoying it.
Pausing, he moved back as it made her look at him. "What happened now?"
Gazing down, he asked again. "I don't want you to regret it after. Can I make you mine?"
Lifting her body, she cupped his face, planting a kiss on his cheeks. "I'm yours from the start. Why not make it official?"
Within a smirk, he pushed her back on the bed as he took her panty out.
Caressing her, he entered her with the inebriating thrust he could.
Her scream could be heard in each corner of that floor.
The pleasure of his growl and her moans intermixed together, playing a melody in their ears.
"You're too much..." she said while moaning with her arched back.
Their bodies were stroking against each other.
The romantic pink light had lit up the whole room.
They were still playing with each other until he noticed sweat falling off her head.
Seeing her being tired, he pulled out and rested down near her. "You were so warm."
Smiling at him, she pulled him into a hug as he squeezed her back.
"Thank you, Xia Na, for trusting me."
He placed a kiss on her forehead as she giggled while hiding her face in his naked chest.
He gently caressed her hair strand back, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
..........................................
Both slept peacefully in each other's arms as there was satisfaction, safety.
Not too long, Ling Xiao heard a beeping sound coming from his phone, which disturbed his sleep.
Wading his hand here and there, he quickly picked up his phone and held it near his ear.
Taking care of her sleep, he whispered in a soft tone so that he couldn't disturb her.
Ling Xiao: Hello..?
??: Ling Xiao, where are you? I've been calling you for so long.
Staring back at the screen, he answered.
Ling Xiao: People sleep at night. I don't know about owls like you, Xi Song.
Xi Song: Cut your craps! Dr. Xu asked to come to the hospital. Reach there as fast as you can.
Hearing about such a sudden coming to the hospital, Ling Xiao started getting a little nervous.
Ling Xiao: Is everything alright in the hospital?
Xi Song: There was a sudden earthquake in the nearby town. Our hospital is sending a relief team. But Wen Reng is sick, and Zhou Chencheng is not in the city. Only you and I left.
Ling Xiao: I'm coming.
Xi Song: Come fast! I went back home to pack my stuff. We'll meet at Dr. Xu's cabin.
Ling Xiao: Noted!
Uplifting his body slowly, he hung up the call.
He looked at Xia Na with admiration pouring into his eyes and leaned to kiss her forehead. "I'm sorry, Xia Na. When you open your eyes, I won't be here to accompany you."
Glancing at her for the last time, he removed his hand and placed a pillow.
He bent down to pick his clothes from the floor and quickly wore them back.
Before leaving her place, he wrote a note for her and made a glass of honey water.
He placed the glass on the nightstand and covered it with a tiny plate.
Putting the note beside the glass, he took his coat and walked away.
"Xia Na, I know when you'll wake up and not find me beside you, it will terrify you. But trust me, I had an emergency in the hospital, and my duty is my priority. If you feel cramped, drink this honey water. I don't know if I'll come back safely or not? But I promise to try my best for you. I have many things left to say, to do for you. With the grace of God, I'll come back safe only to have vows with you. Take care of yourself, Xia Na. Remember, I love you.
Only yours,
Ling Xiao."
The trust was hidden somewhere in his words, which could keep Xia Na's belief alive.
That fear was clearly visible in his eyes because he knew that the place with the earthquake was like the mouth of death.
But as a responsible doctor, his duty, his responsibility, were enough for him to keep his mind out of those negative words.
He now had a reason to come back safe and alive.
