I couldn’t sleep well last night, my neck was hurting along with my back. I had never slept on a couch before, Liv continuously kept hitting my head with her leg while she was asleep, and I kept on pushing her leg away from my head throughout the night.
I let out a short yawn as I stretched my arms, "Good morning" I groaned but there wasn’t an answer.
I turned around and looked at Liv who was peacefully sleeping without any trouble, this made me wonder if she had slept on a couch before. I turned and looked at Lyon who was trying to cover himself with the blanket, it was so obvious he wasn’t comfortable. I looked at the position where Nora slept last night
"Early bird" I murmured
Nora hardly wakes up late, it is very unlike her to do that. I remembered when we were in junior school, she could come to my house prepared and ready for school two hours before the school bus would arrive.
I stood up and twisted my neck a little bit, I had to stretch it to feel much better, as I twisted my neck I felt a pain
"Ahh! Oh God I’m never sleeping on a couch again"
I was about to leave the living room when Lyon fell to the ground, I began to laugh
"Are you okay, let me help you" I continued laughing as I walked toward him and gave him a hand
"Don’t need your help" he said before he stood up from the ground
"Come on, I was just joking"
"Well you can keep laughing cause I have been falling down the couch throughout the night"
"Are you serious" I laughed
"Yeah, but this is the last time I’m sleeping on a couch"
"Me too, my neck felt the pain alright. But looks like your girlfriend is comfortable sleeping on the couch"
"Her, she is comfortable sleeping on anything. By the way here is Nora."
"She might be taking a shower, I will go check," I said before I left the living room
I got to the room and sat on the bed waiting for Nora to step out of the bathroom. I sat for some minutes before I realized there wasn’t a sound coming from the bathroom. I stood up and knocked on the bathroom door
"Nora are you in there?"
Neither did anyone respond to me nor there was any sound coming from the bathroom.
"Nora opened the door, are you in there," I said audibly but there wasn’t an answer. I turned the door handle and realized the door was already open
“I’m coming inside" I peeked at the bathroom, before I opened the door widely
"If Nora isn’t in the bathroom then where is she" I whispered to myself
I walked downstairs in a hurry which almost made me fall
"Guys" I announced as I exhale and inhale air in a rush.
Before I could say anything Lyon spoke
"We have a problem, I think you were right Vickie, Mick isn’t home yet"
"We have bigger problems, I think Nora is missing"
"What!" they said in unison
"Wait a minute, how can she be missing? She was with us the whole time, are you sure she’s missing?"
"She’s not in the room or the room next and Nora…." I didn’t finish talking when Liv interrupted
"I’m calling her phone right away"
"Her phone is switched off, before we get to any conclusion I think we should search the whole house first"
A few minutes later, I kept on calling out Nora’s name but no one answered.
“It just doesn’t make any sense, how can she possibly get missing, she was with us the whole time, I slept next to her," I began pacing around trying to put two in two together
"It can’t be possible that she was kidnapped, if possible then why did he kidnap her alone why not me or Liv" I took a sit on the couch with my index finger tapping my chin
"My phone" I whispered
"Liv, call my number"
"Why? What happened"
"My phone was with Nora last night"
She did as I said, as the phone began to ring I heard my ringing tone coming from upstairs
I told Liv to call my number again immediately after it ended. I followed the tone and took the phone which was laid on the floor in the library.
"What was Nora doing in here"
I checked the phone and noticed there were some record notes saved, perhaps Nora might have recorded it unknowingly.
"Guys I think there is a way we can find out what happened here"
"What are you talking about" Lyon asked
"I left my phone on audio record last night and maybe it recorded everything that happened"
“What are you waiting for, press play on the audio"
I quickly pressed play on the audio,
……come on …..Nora give me my phone……. nope……. am ain’t giving you
……….At least let me refresh the phone and remove it from the ……record……Yeah nice try, but I’m not giving you the phone not till after the movie……This is the second movie we are watching……Sit back and relax
"This was our conversation last night," I said after I paused the audio.
I scrolled on to the last one and pressed play
Shhhh……Mick… I’m …..so happy ……to see you…. Mick…. Who are you…..
"The audio is cracking, I can’t hear a thing"
“Give me the phone“ Liv asked as she grabbed the phone from my hand
"What are you gonna do?“
"I’m gonna download an app that can clear the audio and remove parts that are cracking"
Shortly after she downloaded the app, I pressed play on it
Mick, I’m so happy to see you… wait where are you going….. Mick come back….. Ahh someone please help me……Vickie…..Liv…. Help me…. Lyon…. Anyone... Don’t please don’t do this…….I won’t do anything, the music will do it all……What do you mean
No, No….. please don’t do….. this….Ahhh
I didn’t realize it when tears rolled down my cheeks
"Nora" I whispered as I fell to the ground
"Noooo" I screamed
“You have to pull yourself together" Liv said as she embrace me
"This is all my fault, if I didn’t convince her to come on vacation with us she would have been fine"
"It’s not your fault, you had no idea this would happen"
"It’s all my fault I’m sorry Nora, you deserve a better friend than me. But why, why was she calling out Mick’s name? Was Mick present there?" I said as I wiped my tears.
"I think you should listen to the audio again” Lyon uttered as he walked towards us and pressed play
Mick, I’m so happy to see you…..Help me
Don’t please don’t do this…….I won’t do anything, the music will do it all……What do you mean….
Lyon instantly paused the audio
"I think it’s the music" he said before he played it again
"What are you saying, babe"

"It seems like the music is making all this happen. I know it doesn’t make any sense but I think Nora’s death has a connection" Lyon said
"It all makes sense now, Mick’s death and now Nora"
