She held the paper for some seconds as she widen her eyes in shock
"What’s on the paper Liv," I asked
She didn’t utter a word as she turned back and looked at us for a moment
"The music chose us"
"What!" we yelled in unison, as the room door banged, we turned back and looked at the door. I quickly rushed to the door and tried to open it
"I need help over here, the door isn’t opening" I said as I tried harder to open it
"Step aside, I’m gonna break this door down" Lyon said
I stepped aside as I walked closer to Liv whose eyes were full of tears
"It’s okay Liv, you don’t have to worry about it, it was probably the wind that caused the door to bang"
"I’m not a kid, I know I’m scared but you don’t have to talk to me like I’m nine years old," she said as she wiped her tears
"I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you feel like you’re nine years old"
She looked at me and she smiled a little bit. This time her smile doesn’t look forced
"The door is struck, I don’t think I can break out of it," Lyon said
"No problem it’s not like we have found what we were looking for. Wait a minute, Liv what did you say again, about the music box choosing us?"
"Look at the note," she said as she handed it over to me
I stared at the note as I turned it around
"There’s nothing written on it"
"Let me see that" Lyon uttered
He took a look at the note before he spoke
"She’s right babe, there’s nothing written on it"
Liv grabbed the note from his hands
"Look, all the details are over here," she said as she pointed at the paper
"Liv, the note is empty, there isn’t anything written on it," I said calmly
"There is something written on it, can’t you see it" she yelled
"Babe, I think you need to calm down"
"You don’t believe me, there is something written on the note. I swear" she yelled
“Take a deep breath and calm down babe, as for the note you…."
"What’s written on note Liv" I interrupted
"It’s written in Latin English and Chinese but I wasn’t able to read the Chinese language part but I managed to read some parts of it"
"Okay, what does it say"
"From your birth to your grave, the music follows you all the way. You don’t find the music it founds you" she said
There was silence in the room at first before a strong wind blew which made the windows bang, not quite long after Liv spoke the door opened revealing the music box.
"Why….is the music box…. here," Liv said in stutter
"Let’s just calm down so far it’s not playing any music"
"But for how long"
"Lyon what are you doing, Lyon don’t pick the box" I yelled as I walked him,
He walked closer to the music box and held the box tightly before he opened it
"What are you doing babe"
"Mom….Mom I missed you so much" Lyon whispered to himself as he embraced an invisible person.
It was like he saw someone familiar which we weren’t able to see
"Lyon what are you doing, who are you talking to"
"Mom where is dad, didn’t he come with you?" he whispered as he turned to his right and waved at someone.
He gently walked out of the room as he held the music box tightly under his arms
"Babe, please don’t go, it’s a trap" she sobbed
We were about to leave the room when the door suddenly closed
“What are we gonna do, the door is locked again" Liv yelled
Immediately after I placed my hand on the door handle, I felt a sudden electric shock
"Ahh" I screamed
"Are okay, what happened"
"This stupid door electric shocked me" I yelled
"That’s not electric shock, your hand is burnt"
"That’s not a problem right now. Lyon is out there with the music box" I said
"Babe, I won’t let anything happen to you. It won’t take you away from me" she whispered
I continuously kicked the door with my leg before Liv spoke
"I have a pin here and I think I unlock it with it" she said
She took a wooden ruler from the study desk and placed it on the door handle before she used a pin and tried to open the door
"Did it work"
"No, the door isn’t opening" she yelled
I continuously kept kicking the door with my leg but it seems to be useless.
"Vickie step aside, I know what to do" Liv said holding a chainsaw
“Where did you get that and what are you gonna do with that"
"No time to explain," she said as she turned on the chainsaw and used it to break the door.
We left the room immediately after it opened
"Where did he go?" I asked
"He’s over there"
“Dad is also here, where have you been, I missed you soo much. You want me to turn on the music?" he whispered, he was about to turn on the music box when Liv dragged his hand making the music box drop on the ground
"Babe are you okay," Liv said immediately after she grabbed his hands
He looked confused at the moment before he turned around and realized what just happened. He quickly hugged Liv
"Are you okay" she whispered
"My parent were here, I saw them" he mumbled
"I saw my uncle too but that doesn’t mean he was here," Liv said immediately as she released him from the hug
"I can’t believe this, it felt so real. For a moment I actually thought my parents were here, I hugged my mom" he whispered
"I hugged my uncle to babe but it wasn’t real"
"It was the music, it is doing all this," I said
"My dad told me to play the music for him, I can’t believe he told me to do that"
"Your dad wasn’t here Lyon, it was his sprite not him" I uttered
"How is that possible?"
“That’s exactly what I was wondering of. If the music can rise the death from the living then It’s capable of doing anything"
