I searched almost everywhere but haven’t found anything reliable
"This is a waste of time" I thought
We have been searching the library for hours but couldn’t find anything single thing that will explain what has been happening
"Liv did you find anything yet" I announced
"Nothing here" Liv said
"How about you Lyon, have you found anything" I said but there was no response, my eyes glistened in fear as I looked around and noticed Lyon wasn’t in the room
"Where is Lyon?" I instantly asked
"What do you mean, his right over…" she said as she turned back and noticed his absence.
"Babe! where are you" she yelled as her voice began to shake in fear
She turned back and looked at me, her eyes already full of tears.
I quickly rushed and peeked at the window which I threw the music box
“The music box is gone" I panicked
Liv had already started crying when we heard Lyon’s voice from afar
"Guy’s come here right now"
His voice didn’t sound like he was in danger or anything like that
"Lyon is fine" I said before we exited the room.
"Lyon where are you" I screamed as I walked through the hallway
"Over here"
Immediately I heard his voice I grabbed Liv’s hands and went directly to him
"Babe, you scared me" Liv said as she gave him a hug
"I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you" he mumbled while wiping her tears
"Why did you call us here? Did you find something“
"Not yet but I think we will find something in here"
"Oh yes the locked room, how did it possibly escape my memory"
"But babe, it’s still locked and I think it was locked for a reason, I mean what if we open it and it causes more problems"
"Sorry Liv but it looks like we have no choice" I said as I walked closer to the door
I knelt as I held the lock
"We can’t possibly break this lock, we need to find a key" I whispered
"There is no use, we can’t possibly find the key"
I kept looking at the lock, thinking of what I could use to break it when Liv told me to step aside, she examined the lock for some minutes before she spoke
"I think I have seen a key in the pantry before. Babe do you remember when we first found the music box, wasn’t there a key under it"
"Oh yes, there is a key there"
"I will go get it" I said as I stood up
"Wait you can’t go alone, what if something happens" Liv said
"You come with me while Lyon waits here"
"Are you sure?" he asked
“Yeah"
I know we are all scared and confused right now but I have never seen Liv so terrified before, her eyes were swollen, and her face looked messy one could think she didn’t have a complete sleep for weeks.
As we walked down the stairs, I glimpsed the music box which was on the center table, it didn’t look damaged at all, when I threw it through the window I heard the sound of something breaking but looked like the sound wasn’t from the music box.
"Vickie, the….music box," she said with a stutter as she grabbed my shirt
" It’s okay it’s not playing any song right now so try not to look at it, we should just walk past it"
Liv couldn’t stop her eyes from glancing at the music box, she was extremely terrified as her breathing was audible.
Immediately after I entered the kitchen, Liv shut the door.
I entered the pantry and looked around but couldn’t find the key
"Liv where did you say you saw the key" I said but there wasn’t a response
"Liv"
I turned back but Liv wasn’t there "Liv where are you" I screamed
I tried to open the pantry door but it was locked, I knocked on the door and I called out Liv’s name
"Liv, open the door" I screamed
I peeked through the window as I saw Liv talking I couldn’t see who exactly she was talking to. She gently walked towards the gas cooker which was on
"No! No! Liv don’t do it" I yelled
"Liv" I kept calling out her name but she didn’t turn back
"What am I gonna do“ I whispered to myself
I tried several times but the pantry door didn’t open I pushed the door hard with my leg before it opened
"Liv," I said as I dragged her away from the fire, she had already burned her hand when I got there
"Liv are you okay," she looked at me in shock but didn’t say the word as she looked around and realized her hand was burnt
“Wh…at.. happened?" she panicked
I could sense that inhaling and exhaling air became hard for her especially when she noticed her burnt hand
"I don’t know, why were you walking towards the fire"
"I don’t know, I was standing next to you when I saw my.…..uncle over there
then….. all the sudden…. I heard the music and..“ she said with stutter as she began to cry
"It’s okay! It’s okay, it was the music" I said as I embraced her
I had no idea what Liv was talking about, her uncle died a year ago how did she see him?
"Come with me I will apply an ointment on your hand, it will make you feel better"
I turned off the gas cooker and was about to leave the kitchen when Lyon walked in
"Guys are you okay, I have been waiting for you"
He came closer to us immediately he noticed our facial reaction
"Babe what happened"
She didn’t utter a word as he hugged him tightly
"What happened to your hand" he asked again as he wiped her tears
“I saw my uncle… and he…. told me to….then" she said in stutter
"Your uncle? But he passed away a year ago"
"I…swear.. he was over there" she stammered as she pointed at the counter
"It’s okay, he isn’t there anymore"
"My uncle…I saw…. him” she stammered
"It’s okay" he whispered as he embraced her
"Were you able to get the key?"
"No, I couldn’t. Why don’t you go get the key while I dress her wound," I said
"No! we have to stay together, babe get the key we will wait for you here. Hurry"
He quickly entered the pantry and within some seconds he walked out
"I got the key" he announced
