We sat on the library couch for hours wondering where to start looking. We would have started the search if Liv wasn't feeling a little bit weak and we don’t want to leave her alone.
She rested on Lyon’s labs as he flirted with her hair
"How are you feeling now babe?"
"Much…better" she said with stutter
She adjusted her position and sat upright, she took bottled water which was kept by the side of the couch and drank a certain amount from it.
We had no idea what to do next, non of us has witnessed something like this before. I’m still living with the shock that a medium-sized music box led to the death of my friends and it’s now terrifying my life.
"Guys I just don’t seem to understand it, I mean I have experienced the terror of the music box but the most confusing part is how did Melody survive the music"
"There is nothing to understand about, we can’t take any chances of getting killed so I want you’ll to pack your bags, we are leaving this house" Lyon said
"He’s right,…..we should have left this stupid house long ago" Liv said with stutter as she stood up
"Where are we gonna go?"
"Does it really matter right now? Besides anywhere we go, it will be better than staying in this house, not anymore we aren’t taking any risk" Lyon yelled as he brought out his phone
"Don’t you guys realize that we are in the middle of nowhere, there isn’t any chance of us leaving this house, and even if we do how are we sure the music won’t follow us? We can’t go somewhere else and put others' lives in danger when the music….."
"Sorry Vickie, but I’m calling a taxicab right away, we are leaving this house now. The music may or may not follow us but we are leaving"
"We can’t stay in this hunted creepy house at least not anymore, this house and everything in it reminds us of Nora and Mick. I know you don’t want to risk anyone’s life but do you want to stay in this house and face nothing but terror?"
"Look Liv I’m not saying I don’t wanna leave this house all I’m saying is that we don’t know how powerful….."
"Come on Vickie, this is our only chance of leaving this house"
"No! No! Oh shit no" Lyon yelled as he threw his phone across the room
"There is no way out this fucking house, no way" he screamed
"What are talking about babe? Say something you’re scaring me"
"Neither the taxicab could locate the house nor the address is on the map"
"What! but how is that possible, but we have…" Liv said as she brought out her phone and checked her location.
I wasn’t sure of how to react,
"But we’ve left this house before, and we…." I wasn’t done talking when I suddenly realized something
" It all makes sense now, why the taxi we hired couldn’t locate the house, why Noah wasn’t able to come to the house and why we weren’t able to order Chinese Noodles" I whispered to myself as I began pacing around
"What are you talking about?"
"Our only way out of here is with Melody, right? We have left this house not once not twice but multiple times, and we couldn’t locate the house the other time unt…."
"Until Melody came with her van" Lyon interrupted.
I took out my phone and searched for the places we went to, I scrolled down to all the places and their pictures. Every place we went to was real and the same as we saw it, I couldn’t figure out the exact thing I was looking for
"If everything and everyone we saw is real then… I don’t get it there much be something we are missing" I thought
"Liv show me that picture we took the first day we came to his house"
"Why? What happened"
"I know what I’m doing, just show me"
She showed me the picture, but it wasn’t satisfactory, that wasn’t the exact picture I’m looking for, I scrolled down to check on the other pictures but didn’t find what I was looking for
"Didn’t we take a picture with Melody the first day we came to this house"
"Yeah we did but I lost the picture, I mean it was in my photo album and the next minute it was gone"
"Why are you checking the picture anyways" Lyon asked
"I wanted to check if Melody was in the pictures we took"
"What do mean by that?"
"I don’t know yet but I will get my answers when I see the…."
"Wait a minute, I just remembered we took a picture at the concert and when I checked the picture, Melody wasn’t in it" Liv interrupted
"You guys just lost me, can someone please explain"
"Wait a minute, I will explain everything to you" I announced as I took my phone and checked something
"Guys looked at this photo" I said as I handed it over to them
"What about it?" Lyon asked as he gave me the phone
"This was a group picture we took at the entrance of blu island, if you remember carefully the van was parked behind us and if you zoom into the picture you’ll notice that the van isn’t there"
"Are you… saying…Melody isn’t… real?" Liv said in stutter as she widened her eyes
“Yes, and No, I don’t just think Melody isn’t real but I think everything about her isn’t real. We are having been living in an illusion"
The room was silent after I spoke, Liv was terrified as she sat down next to Lyon.
Lyon was confused as he kept tapping his chin as he whispered to himself
"That’s why she refused to do anything with us"
I had never thought of a day like this will come. I lost my best friend and now there is a possibility I’m gonna lose my life and my friends
“If there is no way out of this house and the Melody isn’t real then there isn’t a hope of any of us to survive" Lyon whispered
"No babe don’t say that, we can find a way out of here" she sobbed
"We have to find a way to destroy the music box and get our lives back to normal, although our lives can never be normal after what happened. We have to stay strong not only for ourselves but for Nora and Mick"
