"Want to play?", asks the short-haired girl. She still have her frown and the long-haired girl was still smiling like a creep. When she said those words, I suddenly can't move my head like it was glued on my pillow. My alarm clock suddenly rang, I gasp some air in and like I was choking and was out of breath for an hour.
"Was is all just a dream? It sure is a bad dream", I said to myself. My heart was still pounding up until now, I was so scared I thought those were true. I pick myself up and went to take a bath. I am starting to feel uncomfortable in this mansion. Those nightmares and everything might just be coincident but it sure is creepy.
I went to school that day since it was friday, and we have a short quiz. I am not in the mood to go to school but I have to. I don't much friends and my only friend is mad at me so I ate at the rooftop at lunch time, and I somehow bump into Claudine.
"A-are you okay?", Claudine asked while she stutter. She looks worried at me, and I don't know why. I haven't seen my face since this morning and I haven't look at the mirror too.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?", I asked her back. I was calm but I felt the awkwardness.
"Your face. You have a scratch on your face", she said. I touched my face and I feel like there's a wound. It was painful when I touched it. Claudine was about to say something but I ran to the bathroom so I could look at myself at the mirror.
When I saw my reflection, I spotted a scratch under my eye at the right area. The scratch wasn't that big though, but it is really painful.
"Where did I get this?", I whispered to myself. I was confused since I never got myself hurt yesterday. And I don't remember anything that could scratch my face, and I don't even have a cat at home. How could I possible got this?
Thankfully I brought my alcohol with me. I cleaned my wound so it won't get infected and so that I won't get so anxious about my wound getting infected, especially since I don't know where I got it from.
I haven't seen Claudine after I went to the bathroom, we're in the same class but somehow, I haven't seen her, and she wasn't in her seat too and her chair was left empty.
"Goodbye class!", our last subject teacher said after the bell rang. The students hurrily went outside with
there friends, as they are laughing at each other's jokes. They were on cloud nine since it was friday. Some of them planned to hang out with their friends and want to go shopping and other stuff. Me on the other hand, want to go home but I thought that I'd be bored if I go home immediately. So I decided to go shopping and then visit my aunt, I've never seen her for a while and I really missed her. We don't have projects and other activities so i can be carefree for just this weekend.
It was 5 pm when I went to the mall. I bought everything I like and I would need for school. I also bought something for my aunt, a necklace. It was a nice necklace and I'm sure she'll like it. I was so excited to see her. When I arrived at her house, i really feel nostalgic with the place. It did not change at all. I knock at the door but no one answered, the inside of the house was really dark and so quiet. I was nervous and anxious, I started overthinking about what could possibly happened to my aunt. I knock several times and it became louder and louder everytime I knock. I twisted the doorknob but it was lock, so I knock and knock. Atlast, the lights turned on, Aunt Cherry came mumbling as she opened the door.
"I was sleeping, why are you so nois--", she yelled. She continue her sentence when she saw my face. Her eyes widened and then she hugged me. She let go from hugging me and let me inside the house.
"You worried me auntie. I thought there's something bad happened to you. It took you so long to answer the door and the lights are off so i got worried", I said. My eyebrows almost met when I said those words. I am not angry but I was really worried. My heart keeps pounding and it feels like its going to come off from my chest.
"I did not realize that I fall asleep. I was really tired so I lay down for a while", she explained. When she saw what I got in my hands she immediately went looking at it. "What are these?", she asked while she was kneeling on the floor.
"I got bored so I went to the mall and bought all these stuff. By the way, I have something for you", I said. I grab the paper bag with an unusual print and took out the item inside it. "Here, I got this for you", I continued. My aunt's eyes were sparkling while she was holding a beautiful red box. When she opened it, her jaw drop. She looks at me and her eyes were almost teary.
"Is this really for me?", she asked as she took the necklace from its box. She put it around her neck and went to find a mirror. "It's beautiful, Pauline. Thank you", she said and came closer to me and hugged me.
"Well, Its been a while since I last saw you, Auntie. You never visit me and I don't still have a helper there. I am very lonely", I said with a puppy eyes. I did it so she'll change her mind and live with me.
"You'll find one soon", she said. I was devastated about she said.
"Hmp, I told you, you should live with me. Are you okay with the fact the your lovely niece is living alone in a mansion?", I asked her sarcastically.
She just laughed and went to the kitchen. She prepared some tea for us to drink. When I finished drinking the tea, I told her that I have to go home. When I went outside, I realized that it was already dark. I lost track of time because I was so distracted. I waited for the bus at the bus stop and was just scrolling at my phone. When the bus arrived, I went in and just look around. I really wonder why Claudine didn't went to school. I was lost in my own thought again and I didn't know that I was pass from my stop
