I don't know how long I passed out, but when I woke up, I saw nothing but darkness. I'm alone in this big mansion so no one can help me here. I force to get up but my body really hurts. I somehow developed a phobia of darkness, and being here in the dark makes me cry so hard.
"Want to play?", someone spoke in the darkness. I was startled when she spoke and my tears wont stop flowing. The light turned on and I saw the twins standing in front of me. All of a sudden, they laughed. Their laugh echoed into my ears and give chills in my spine.
"Go away!", I shouted. They laughed even harder after I shouted. The short-haired girl touched my forehead and I can't resist because my body was really numb and I can't move any parts of my body. I close my eyes and just wait for something to happen. When I open my eyes again, I found myself tied in a bed. The place wasn't changed, we are still in the basement. My mouth was taped with a duct tape, but shouting is useless since no one can hear me, why do they have to put some duct tape on my mouth. Their outfits change and they look like a surgeon because of what they are wearing right now. They have name tags as well and I don't why. The name tag shown that their name are Jane and Jean. Jane is the long-haired one, while Jean in the short-haired one.
"Should I take your eyes first?", Jean said. She was holding a scalpel and a scissor, and there are other tools on the table. Jane was just smiling like a creep as she was putting gloves in her hands.
"W-why a-are y-you d-doing t-this t-to m-me?", I stuttered while asking. I can't help but cry because of what is happening. Me whole body was shivering and I can still feel the ache caused by my fall.
She was saying something but I can't hear it, all I can hear was something ringing. I woke up from my slumber while sweat and tears are dripping. It was all just a dream but it feel so real. My heart is pounding so fast and it feels like its going to explode.
Why are they doing this to me? Are they here for revenge or just for fun? I can't answer the questions in my head and I have to find who can. An idea came across my mind. Maybe the former caretaker of the mansion knows those kids. I should ask him or her what happened to those twins.
I got up, made the bed, and went to bathroom to shower. After I shower, I dress up and went out. I went to the lawyer first, maybe he knew who the former caretaker was. I arrived at his office, but because I did not have an appointment with him, so I have to wait for hours there until its my turn. People went into the office one by one until I was left alone and it was my turn already.
"Ms. Smith, its your turn. Please follow me", his assistant said. She had a straight face and she is intimidating to look at. I just follow her to the lawyer's office and didn't said a word. She held the door for me so I said thanks. When the lawyer saw me, he was shock. His eyebrows were raised and his jaw drop.
"What can I do for you, Ms. Smith?", the lawyer asked. His assistant left and closed the door on my behalf. I stood there while looking at him and he's also looking at me, we're both staring at each other, and it took him some time to offer me a chair.
"Have a seat, Ms. Smith", he said. I walk forward and sat down. "Now tell me, what can I do for you?", he continued. I cleared my throat before I spoke for the reason of feeling like there was some saliva in my throat.
"I just want to ask if you know who was the former caretaker of the mansion?", I asked. He was surprised to what I asked. He was frozen for a while and looks like he was thinking.
"Why did you asked? Is there something wrong?", he asked. He looks confused and somewhat curious. I know he was curious because from the tone of his voice and the look on his face, I could tell he is.
"No, there's nothing wrong. I just want to ask her or him something", I explained. It looks like he bought my reason. He opened his drawer and took some papers. It took him a while to find what he was looking for.
"There it is", he yelled with joy. His eyes were sparkling as if he found some treasure. He looks cute to be honest. He hand me the papers he found and I took it.
"Mr. Villamin retired right after you move in so you never got to met or even see him. But I think you'll meet him soon", he said. I just smiled and thank him. I left immediately because its almost sunset.
Right after I left his office, I read what was written on the paper, it had the address and the name of the former caretaker of the mansion, and it wasn't really that far. Unfortunately, it's almost sunset so I don't think I can go to the written address. I booked a cab and waited minutes for the cab to arrive so I can go home.
The sun set already and the porch was really dark. I was about to open my door, when I saw someone from the inside peeping on the window. Its eyes and its smile was really visible. It smile widely while its eyes were looking straight at me. I stood really still and stare back at it. I was unable to move and my hands are shivering. Its eyes weren't blinking at all and its creepy because its smile gets wider and wider. I think it can sense my fear. My heart was pounding so fast like there's no tomorrow. I hesitated if I should get inside or not, and it took me minutes to decide. I decided to get inside and to check who it was, but when I got inside, there was no one.
It does not give relief to find no one behind the window, it gives me chills down to my spine. I'm sure I won't forget those eyes. I flee to my room instantly and did not eat dinner. I went to bed with an empty stomach hoping to fall asleep even though my stomach was growling
