I found the light switch so I turned on the light. I look around and found Luke sitting on the chair tied up and his mouth was covered with a cloth. I untied him and get out of there. We went upstairs and I sat him down on the sofa and calm him first.
He can't talk because he was still so confused about what happened. It took him a while to be able to talk again.
"What happened?", I asked him.
"Let's get out of here first", he uttered. We gathered all the boxes outside and book a cab. It took the cab 5 minutes to arrive so we waited outside the mansion for 5 minutes. While we were waiting, I asked him questions.
"What happened to you back there? How did you get there?", I asked. He took a deep breath before uttering a word.
"I don't know either. I blackout for a sec and the when I opened my eyes, I was already there", he said. "I couldn't see it clearly but I saw a woman putting a cloth on my mouth as I shouted for help", he continued. He look puzzled and scared. It was all over his face.
"This is why I don't want to live there anymore. They are getting more physical. It made me believe that they are more than just ghosts", I said as I look away from him.
"You think those are just ghosts?", he asked.
I nodded as a response without facing him.
"I thought you knew, but they are not just ghost, Pauline. They are more than that", he said with a serious tone.
"I don't know when was it, but back then, there were twins in the mansion. They are just spirits of the twins, and I found out that they are my sisters. They wanted to avenge their death but unfortunately, their killers are already dead. They vanished like a bubble. And that's why I thought all of the spirits that lived on that mansion were just ghost who can't go to the other side", I stated. I slowly turn my head and faced him. "But I guess I was wrong", I continued.

After our conversation, we stayed quiet the whole ride. We dropped Luke to his home and he insist that he'll help me unpack my things.
"You don't need to do that, Luke. I can do it myself. And I don't want you to be involved to anything that has to do with me and I don't want to see you near me", I said seriously. "Let's just talk to each other when needed", I continued saying.
Luke looked sad after hearing my words. He didn't say anything and just bow his head. I was about to close that door but he stopped me.
"I respect your decision, Pauline", he said. "But please, take care of yourself", he continued. He let go of the door and I closed it for me.
"Let's go", I told to the driver.
I saw how Luke wave his hand as we drift away. Slowly, Luke vanished when we turned to an another street.
When I arrived at my destination, the driver helped me unload all the boxes. I couldn't find my aunt, so I just move all the boxes to my room. I made dinner for me and my aunt, and since she wasn't home yet, I decided to eat at my room.
I turned my computer on and decide what show I should watch to entertain myself while eating. After I finished eating, I washed the plates, spoon, and the glass I used and then flee to my room once again.
I played an online game for hours and decided to wait for my aunt to come home. But it was already 2 hours passed and she hasn't come home yet. I dialed her number but no one was answering.
"Don't tell me she really did went to the mansion", I said to myself. "But I didn't saw her there", I mumbled again.
I don't know why but I suddenly have this feeling that my hunch is true. That my aunt really went there. I didn't realized that I was already walking in back and forth because I was overthinking. So, I decided to go to the mansion even if it's already dark outside and I knew how scary it can be at the mansion when its night time.
I arrived at the mansion and I saw that the lights were on.
"I knew it, she's here", I whispered to myself.
I run towards the front door and opened it. I saw someone sitting on the couch and she was watching tv. When she heard the door opened, she looks at the door's direction and there, she saw me. I thought who it was but it was just my aunt.
"I've been waiting for you", she said with a smile.
She's waiting for me? Why would she be waiting for me? I never said I'd be coming. This is really suspicious.
"Did you ate", she asked. "Follow me, I'll cook you dinner", she said. She didn't gave me the time to answer and she stood up from being seated.
"I already ate, auntie", I replied. She looks at me and smiled.
"Don't be shy, sweetie. Come one", she insisted. She has this look that is telling me that I should just obey me. She walk towards the kitchen, and I just followed her.
"Sit there and just wait for a minute", she ordered.
I obeyed again and I sat on the chair near me. My aunt prepared all the ingredients she needed before cooking my dinner. I just sat there looking at her doing all the work. I offered to help but she insist that she don't need help.
I realized something the longer I look at my aunt. Her face seems to change and for a second she looks like someone else.
She finished cooking minutes later. She cooked a spaghetti for me.
"Here, your favorite", she said. My brows met because of what she said.
"Spaghetti was never my favorite, what are you saying?", I uttered. My brows met and I feel more suspicious towards her.
"It wasn't?", she asked. She looks so confused. "I guess I forgot. I think maybe because I'm old already", she said as an excuse and laugh it off.
I was about to eat when my phone rang, someone was calling. I put the fork down and excused myself for a minute. I decide to answer the call outside.
"Hello?", I asked. It was an unknown number so wonder who would call me since I never gave my number to anyone.
"Hey! Where are you?!", a voice from the other line shouted. It sounds like my aunt. Strange beacuse my aunt was inside the mansion.
"Auntie? Is this you?", I asked. I wasn't really if it's her but she sounds like her.
"Who do you think is this?!", she furiously said. "Where are you?! COME HOME THIS INSTANCE", she yelled again.
My hands started trembling not because my aunt shouted at me but because all this time I was talking to an imposter. I turned the call off and stood still.
"PAULINE, WHAT IS TAKING YOU SO LONG? YOUR FOOD WILL GET COLD IF YOU KEEP IT WAITING", the imposter shouted from the inside. I slowly look at the door as I hear the doorknob twist. The door opened and I saw the imposter standing at the door.
"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME BY MY NAME!", I shouted. Her eyes widened. She took a deep breath and then laughed from the top of her lungs.
"So you figured it out already?", she asked. "Too bad because you haven't tasted the spaghetti that I cooked for you", she said as her eyes widened.
"Who are you?!", I asked her. Her face slowly melt like an ice. And a second later, her real face was revealed.
I was terrified of what I saw. Her face was wrecked and she doesn't have eyes. Half of her head is missing, only her mouth was present. My knees feels like a jelly the longer I look at her.
Luckily I went outside, it won't be a hassle to escape from her. I run as fast as I could. I forgot to book a cab, and even though my aunt's house was a little far, I just run my way towards there. When I got there, I was almost out of breath. My aunt was waiting for me on the sofa. She was just standing there while her both hands are on her waist.
"HOW COULD YOU FORGOT TO LOCK THE DOOR!", my aunt yelled.
"W-where w-were y-you?", I stutteredly asked. I was catching my breath and I can barely speak.
"Work, obviously", she said. I stood still before I spoke.
"You work?", I asked.
"Do I look like a rich woman to you? Of course I work!", she said. She looks really mad at me but I can't focus on her.
