I arrived home way late than expected. The mansion was so dark inside because the lights are off. I took out my phone and turned on the flashlight in it. I look around before I switch on the light, and as I was waving my flashlight everywhere, I somehow saw someone sitting on the couch. It was woman and she has a long hair.
She was facing on the other way and all I can see is her back. I was left frozen there while my flashlight is pointing at her. I don't know how long i stood frozen there but the woman suddenly stood up and walks onto the kitchen's direction. I can't my move my head but my eyes are observing her every move.
She vanished in the dark portion of the mansion, and I can finally move from being frozen. I quickly went upstairs and I didn't went to the kitchen where the lady in white, or the "white lady" yode.
I am really overwhelmed by what I saw and I can't believe it really did happen. I was trembling with fear, as I was holding my phone. I dialed Claudine's phone number, but to my shcck, i heard her ringtone inside my bathroom. Even though I was really scared to open it up and confused at the same time, I still opened it.
I was more terrified with what I saw after I opened the bathroom door. I saw Claudine hanging while she was holding her phone and her tongue sticking out from her mouth and her eyes were wide open and she was looking at me. She is not moving and the rope swinging around even though there's no wind. I didn't know how she got here, I never gave her a spare key. In that moment, I feel like I can't control my body and my feet just went running straight to the front door. I quickly opened it and run outside like a madman. I was almost out of my own sanity. I run as fast as I could towards the bus stop. I was really trembling and I can't almost stand still while I was waiting for the bus.
I want to call Claudine's mom and tell her what I saw but I forgot that I drop my phone back there. And I forgot to grab it due to the fright that I felt. I really felt the adrenaline back there, I can't help but cry. I was really scared and confused right now, I don't think I can stay calm.
The bus arrived and I forthwith got on the bus. My destination was Claudine's house. The next bus stop was at Claudine's neighborhood. When the bus stops there, I did not waste anymore time and run towards Claudine's house. I knock so hard it somehow annoyed Claudine's mother.
"Oh, it's you, Pauline. What's the matter? Why do you look so pale?", Claudine's mom asks continuously. She let me in and calm me down for a bit. She gave me water to help calm down.
"Mrs. Vergara, is Claudine here?", I asked her. I know she's not here, but I asked anyway. I still don't believe what I saw back there, I just want to assure that everything is true.
"Oh my, I forgot to call her", she gasps. She was sitting beside me that time, she stood up for a while to call Claudine. "Claudine! Pauline's here. Please come down", Mrs. Vergara shouted. She looks at me again and sat beside me. "Wait for a bit, okay?", she said. I nodded as a respond and I sit erect. I hear footstep from the stairs, I can't help but look who it was. I was relieve when I saw Claudine in her pajamas, while her hair was tied neatly.
"It's late, Pauline. Why are you here?", Claudine asked. I stood up from my seat and I run towards her and then hugged her. I know she was confuse because I heard her gasp. I face her and my tears drip from my eyes.
"Why are you crying?", Claudine asked again. She wiped my tears, she hold my hand and led me into her room.
"Tell me what's wrong", she said when we sat down on her bed. She was really calm and her voice was so comforting. I doubt if I should tell her what I saw or not. She might get furious if she found out and she'll force me to move out like she always did. I did not said a word and just continued crying. Claudine was also quiet and just let me cry my eyes out.
Claudine never got to know why I cried and she did not force me tell her what happened. I was so exhausted that I did not know that I fall asleep at Claudine's bed. I woke up the next day with my eyes puffing. I saw Claudine sleeping on the floor, and I did not wake her up and just went out from her room silently. I saw Mrs. Vergara on my way out. I told her I have to go home and she opened the door for me.
"Take care, okay?", Mrs. Vergara said. I nodded and left. She close the door after I turn around, and I did not look back anymore. I waited for the bus at bus stop nearby. And as I was waiting, I keep thinking if should I go home or not. I was really traumatized about what happened last night.
But even though I am really scared, I decided that I should go home. It's daylight, I don't think they'll haunt me because the sun is up. I got home and when I twist the doorknob I remember that i forgot to lock the door last night. Thankfully, there's nothing missing and the place looks the same, no sign of robbery.
I went upstairs slowly, I walked tip-toed to avoid making sound. When I arrive infront of my bedroom door, I took a deep breath, i waited for a minute to open it. As I opened my door, I slowly look around. It was dark inside because I didn't opened the blinds. When I feel like its safe to come in, I went inside. I changed my clothes into a confortable one. Before I left my bedroom, I look at my bathroom first. I found my bathroom empty, and that hanging lady that looks like Claudines was never there anymore.
