“I don’t know why I accepted following you guys” says Mata.
“Who are you blaming?” Dylan asked indignantly, getting fed up with their unnecessary complaints. He was determined to use force on them if that’s what they wanted.
“No need for all these. Let’s get to the land first” Rickie encouraged.
Rickie tried to resolve the tension and it worked. In other to get their minds together he decided to forge a story for them.
“There was a king in a far away land” He began. “He was brutal and tyrant but there’s nothing his subjects could do to him for he was well protected. He had the largest number of armies, women, treasures and properties too. He takes whatever he wants whenever he wants it including people’s wives.
Some of his armies, their daily work is to travel to other villages and fight them. When they conquer them, they take the remaining men as and young girls as maids or concubines leaving children and old women to suffer. He had uncountable slaves and servants. His city was always crowded and busy.
One day his armies apprehended a young herbalist, or do I call him a magician? For he possessed what seemed like magic too. There’s no substance he doesn’t know about. That was when the king’s cup over flowed. This particular guy was the person that brought his downfall. The young man was very sensitive and inquisitive. At night he would sneak out to find necessary information that would help his operation go smoothly. Though it wasn’t easy with him, sometimes he was caught and placed on a more difficult task and punishment.
He didn’t give up, he kept trying until one day he stole clothes hung on the rope. It was an army cloth. He wore it and looked like them. Having lived among them for long he knows their behaviors and rules. No one could differentiate him because soldiers were too many to know all. He wasn’t concerned about running away. He cared for others too. If he runs, people will still continue to suffer and as long as the king lives they may locate him wherever he flees to someday and bring him back someday, so his Target was to kill the king, which wasn’t easy.
Everyday he was planning on what to do to get to where the king is until one day he got the attention of one of the king’s daughter by always having interesting stories to tell her. And he was skilled in playing musical instruments too. So one day he told her that he has different substances that’s capable of making someone extremely strong, amazingly beautiful, immortal, lucky and many others. He gave her three and told her how to use them.
She did not hesitate to try the one for beauty and it worked. She was so adorable. She gave the one for strength to her brother, so that when their father is no more he and his soldiers will fight for the throne. She wanted to reserve the immortality for herself but the herbalist told her that it is not effective on women. She had to give it to her brother to pour it in his wine. He did as instructed but was during dinner.
The herbalist was close to one of the maiden who was willing to help with the plans. The maiden changed the prince’s cup with the king’s. The king drank the one with the portion. The prince thought he was the one that drank it. Days elapsed yet nothing happened until after seven days the king died. People thought it was natural.
From that time war broke out between the sons of the late king and also among the cabinet members. There was meetings and killing everyday. Everyone wanted the throne for himself. But obviously some of the elders were rather fighting against such leadership as that of the late king. As the fight continue there was neither law or order. Both soldiers, slaves and servants ran away. That was how the kingdom got scattered”
“How about the princess?” Nazi questioned.
“Her beauty faded away after forty two days and so was her brother’s strength”
“He deceived them” they laughed “He is very treachery”
Finally they got to the land. No one knows how long it took because their minds were occupied with something more Intriguing but certainly it was more than an hour.
