The wrestling ring attracted almost half of the community. They were many surrounding the ring making a lot of noise. There the dwarfs did not show more interest in staring at them.
“Be care. We shouldn’t trust this near-ground creatures” Nazi advised.
Mata went to meet them in the ring after one emerged winner. He gestured to them that he want two dwarfs as his opponent. They were scared at first but he assured them not to be hard on them so they agreed and after the drums were beaten, they began to fight. Mata realized they were skilled and stronger than he thought. But he tried very hard not to humiliate himself. They struggled and struggled till he finally pinned them down. His fight attracted more crowd and it was a different experience. Mata made them excited as he lifted his opponents, both on his shoulders after he won.
From there they were called to see their king who was lying seriously sick. Only Dylan, Mata, Nazi and Zack went to see him. There too, they were well welcomed but were told that their request of finding a way out of the jungle will only be decided by their kind and that’s when he recovers, that is if he will.
“If we had known we would have carried more of the vaccine” Dylan said.
“Don’t we have some left?” Zack inquired from Mata and Nazi.
“I don’t know” Nazi answered with shrouded shoulders.
“When we go we will fine out from Dina. She was the one with those things” Mata said.
They went back to find out. Dina told them she have two that she have been reserving in case they get infected on their way home.
“I think it will work if we dilute a drop of it with water” Rickie said. “Instead it will work slowly”
“Whether slow or not, the work is what we want. At least we should be glad we still have some” Dylan said.
They took to the king what they came up with. They were given the chance and the result was just as predicted by Rickie. The entire kingdom of dwarfs rejoiced for their king’s recovery.
Early the following day Dylan and his group were summoned at the king’s palace for more appreciation and compensation. They were given enough food and water to go with, and talisman was given to Dylan as the group head. They were to be led to the sea by some men on animal backs which they claimed to take not less than a day. It was going to be a far journey but at least it was hopeful. They have enough food with them, they were led by people who knows the way and lastly they were protected.
They embarked on the journey carrying all they needed. They walked through the bush, woods, Rocky hills and more.
“There is a problem” Dylan said.
They demanded to know what the problem is.
“If we get to the shore we need a ship or anything that will convey us back for we can’t walk on the water”
“But we can’t construct a canoe now. It will take a week” The rest complained.
“Let’s talk to them about it”
They did and were assured of a way. They continued their journey in eagerness and doubt. Nazi was always jeering at the dwarfs especially about how slow they are when they are off animal backs.
“Should we rely on this things that can not run for safety?”
“It is better walking with them than not” Rickie reassured.
“Anyway, for direction and not safety”
Not long after the decision they saw the savages in a group of seven men. They wanted to wait and fight them but the dwarfs implored them to remain calm and so they advance them to find out what they wanted.
“I reckon these beasts knows each other” one of the girls said.
“As you can see” one of the boys replied.
“That means our size was not a new thing to them. We weren’t actually stupendous”
“Yeah. Maybe our appearance. But I observe they are not enemies, yet doesn’t associate”
“Obviously, perhaps they are strict about territories. They hate intruders”
“You can see that fighting is not the only way to settle issues. You underrated these dwarfs, now see” Dylan said to Nazi.
“What If a ferocious beast or a monster shows up, will it go easy with them the same way it has with the savages?”
“How much trust do you have for your legs to save you?”
“I am at more advantage”
“You can never be too sure”
The dwarfs returned to meet them after communicating with the savages while the savages remained there watching them till they disappeared into the vegetation.
