“Hmm so.. Yeah, they will help us find out way to the sea. I believe they understand the woods…. .”
“Yes!” Nazi shouted. “First time my friend is useful. No, sorry. First time my friend Bond said something helpful since birth”
“What does that suppose to mean?” Bond glared.
“Sorry, I mean.. it’s a slip of the tongue. I don’t intend to say anything nasty, you are friend”
“Since when?”
“Since we fought”
“You mean since I defeated you? “
“Whatever, so we are friends. I have the right to tell you anything. If I don’t who will?”
They others were amused. They all laughed including Bond and Nazi.
“Ok guys. Let’s get there” Dylan.
As they walked down the village every dwarf that sees them stared in wonders. Some who could not stand their sight runs away to hide or tell others. Before they could go deep all the dwarfs were outside watching them including those in the bush. Suddenly two wolves came out from nowhere to attack them, Mata struck one from a distance with an arrow which got the dwarfs shocked and the remaining wolf was easily silenced with swords and other weapons.
As they strolled gently and readily further the dwarfs came out to stare in amazement. some came on animal backs. They were on animal that could carry them including ibex, deer, antelopes, Buffalo and other ones they didn’t recognize.
“How have they been able to make these recalcitrant animals obey them?” Rickie asked.
“Maybe they use spells on them” Dylan implied.
“That is the only possibility. Besides they look like imaginary creatures. Everything here looks like tales” Rickie said making whoever heard him snigger.
They stopped in the middle. The half creatures stood round while the ones on animal backs walked into the circle to talk to them. The one in front was assumed to be their leader base on his different and most bulky attire.
“They stare at us with surprise but they are not scared of us” Zack whispered to Rickie.
“Maybe they are surprise not about our deed but our tremendous size” Rickie implied.
The dwarfs with the most captivating appearance thought to be their leader stepped forward to have a word with them. On his body can be found animal bones, beads, animal skin and other strange things. His face was painted just as the rest of them but the pattern was all different. He spoke their language that sounded instead like noise. Exposing his teeth that looks like something covered by all the vegetables they were eating from birth. When he noticed that they didn’t comprehend what he said he began using signs to ask them who they are, where they coming from and what they are looking for.
Dylan did not know how he would tell where they come from and who they are. What he succeeded making them understand is that they are lost and are finding their way out of the jungle. The dwarf didn’t assure them of finding their way, he ensured they are not for trouble then he asked them to rest and feel at home. They were served foods of various kind which they ate only ones they know and left the rest.
“I need a bag to stock this stuff for future” Bond said. He wasn’t willing to leave anything for the dwarfs.
“Not all. They don’t intend we empty every container here” Zack said.
“They do, looking at our size they expect our consumption to double theirs”
“And first, how do you plan to get a bag?”
“I will ask for it or I go get it myself”
“That is greed. Don’t make them regret their hospitality”
“Stop sounding as if I stole the food. Besides I am not securing it only for myself. Unless if anyone refused to”
In the evening they strolled down the village to see how it looks. The dwarfs are good with construction, they have different designs of building and all their building was built with bamboo sticks, reeds and ferns. It’s a village almost half of theirs. Everything there reeked of rotten fruits and carcass. They have barns that portrays their diligence in cultivation. They rare livestock too, with the majority of rodents. They have many activities that keeps them together. They dance, they wrestle, and other things that makes them happy.
“Let me gain praise from the wrestlers” Mata said to the others as they admire the scene. They found watching the dwarfs’ activities and the dwarfs at the other hand could not stop staring at them. Some gets distracted or totally stop what they were doing.
