Violet's POV
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?!" I yelled. I would have retaliated but it would be complete disrespect to the alpha and the elders present. I turned to look at Jake giving him the 'I told you look' but he didn't even look the least bothered that I just got slapped.
"Do I still look like a joke to you?!" Felicia seethed.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Jake's Father shouted from where he was standing. "Do you know what you doing in the sacred presence of the moon goddess?"
Felicia didn't realize in time that other people were watching and that included the Alpha. She was so engrossed in confronting me that she forgot this is a wedding, the Alpha's son's wedding.
"I'm sorry my alpha," Felicia said as she bowed before Jake's Father.
"After the celebration, I want you three in my office" Jake's Father said and the celebration continued.
"Have you two gotten married already?!" Felicia asked shocked, she came too late...too too late.
She turned to look at Jake with hurt written all over her face.
"We only spent a few nights together and you thought you meant something me?, You should thankful I let you on my bed bit her causing trouble like you own me. Get a calculator and calculate your worth before trying to place your self high in the market" Jake said to her and my very own shock. Other than the fact that he was handsome, this guy was a complete asshole. Another reason not to let my heart waver.
"Forget about us, have you forgotten how much you hated her?. Don't you remember how you publicly disgraced her in front of the whole school. Do you know what everyone will think of you?" While the first few sentences were directed to Jake, she turned to me as she said the last words.
Of course I remember. Every single bit of humiliation and mockery I faced that day, my worst night mare.
"They will think of how shameless and pride less you are. How stupid and foolish you are to be following one guy who wants nothing more than to disgrace and humiliate you" Felicia continued.
I could hear the screams of that day jarring in my head.
"Pour some more on her"
"She looks like a batter"
"Let's bake her, I'm sure she'll taste bad"
I hated myself for thinking about those things. I promised to forget them and let them not bother me again but here comes same old Felicia reminding me once again.
"Don't you any other thing up your sleeve than reminding me of that incident. For your information, that is in the past and this is the present. I am a new Violet that is not going to let anyone's words get to me not less someone as insignificant as you" Every word I breathed out of my mouth was very refreshing. It felt nice to say those words.
Felicia and her girls looked at me and were about to speak when Kimberly and Thomas came.
"I see you have no respect for the pack as you're still running that stinking mouth of yours. And why won't Jake marry her, she's beautiful, smart, sexy, name it. He is the lucky one. I honestly don't want to get mad and ruin this day for my friend so you better get your ugly ass out of here" Kimberly seethed. Thank God Thomas was holding her if not she would have scratched the living daylight out of Felicia.
"So what are you now? Mother hen coming to save her chick?" One of Felicia girls said.
"I see no reason why I should take a brainless chicken like you seriously when all you do is lick the ass of this thing here" Kimberly said pointing to Felicia.
"Let's get out of here Violet, their cheap perfumes are irritating my nostrils" Kimberly said as she held my hand and walked out of Felicia's presence. Timothy dragged Jake to follow us.
The four of us reached the pack house and Kimberly went to get me something to drink. I don't know what I would have done without her.
I glared at Jake who was sitting nonchalantly like he was not the cause of all this. I hate him so much but I couldn't deny the other feeling that has been lingering in my heart since the werewolf wedding. It was blocking off every other negative feelings I felt for him and a new feeling that wanted me to be near him in every possible way was emerging. What the hell is wrong with me?!
A little while later we went to join the celebration before any one would notice our disappearance.
There was singing around the bonfire, eating, drinking, the atmosphere was very merry.
The couple, which was us, were called to come give a speech. I went first.
"I thank you all for the love, gifts and well wishes you've sent us to celebrate this day. Thank you for coming from far and wide to be with us on this happy day. We will try our best to be happy, and when the time comes for us to take over the pack, we will make sure to lead the pack with our very best. Despite the unrest as we can't settle in one place and coexist as a pack together, we will still remain the crescent moon pack. Cheers to the better future of the crescent moon pack!"
"Cheers" the crowd responded.
I practiced that speech all night. It was Jake's turn.
"Thank you all for coming, we really appreciate. Cheers"
Was that all?
The crowd mumbled the cheers wondering if there was more to say but Jake just stood there sipping his wine. He came back and stood next to me and that was when the crowed echoed another cheers to ease the awkwardness.
The celebration ended and I found my self in Jake's Father office with Felicia and Jake.
"What was the meaning of that you pulled out there miss..." He waited for her to say her name,
"Felicia" Felicia answered with her head lowered.
"I don't know what you and Jake had in the past but he is a married man now. Leave all that in the past and start a new with another man. I don't want to hear of you harassing my daughter in-law all because you still have feelings for a man who is now married. This should be the last time I hear or see such, is that understood?!."
"Yes, sir" Felicia said with tears threatening to fall.
"And as for you Jake, I don't want to hear of your treacherous acts anymore. You are a married man and any of those women who fall in love with your tricks will surely come after your wife. Cases like this when they harass your wife will always happen so steer clear away from trouble. I'm I understood?!"
"Yes" Jake answered lazily.
"Violet dear, my son still has a long way to go in this marriage life, you as well. I hope you'll put up with him and if he in any way misbehaves do not hesitate to let me know, I'll make sure I deal with him personally. And if anyone tries to harass because of him, do let me know as well, hmm"
"Thank you sir" I replied. I could tell he was going to be a doting father in law as he used the softest tone when talking to me.
After he was done talking to us, we left the office with Felicia running in tears to go meet her friends for comfort. I hope this would be the last I would see of her but knowing Felicia, this won't.
What's next on the agenda?; The honeymoon!!!!
