Chapter 26 Dream
Author's POV.
In the rush of the cold wild wind that made things flutter as it swooshed past, a man and a woman stood on top of a cliff, their hairs moving in the direction the wind pushed them to.
"Did she suspect?" the girl's mellifluous voice rang out.
"Dumb as ever, didn't notice a thing." The guy said.
"Say Ken, isn't she your sister"
"So?, They both abandoned me and are living merry lives" Kendrick sneered.
"Good. I don't need sentimental emotions to ruin everything I've planned. Violet is going down and in the worst way possible at that!"
"Whatever you want Emily. But just be careful so as to not get caught. Today you barely slipped from her eyes, what about next time?"
"I've been lurking around for some time now without getting caught, she just got lucky today. Anyway, I'm off to teach someone a lesson for touching my man!." She said menacingly as a cynical smile came to form on her lips.
There you have it. She's back! Emily is back!!.
...
Violet's POV
"The curse is not important" My mum breathed out after regaining her composure.
"Just tell me mum?, Did you or did you not prevent the queen from reaching out to Hapoda?" My mum stared at the TV even though it was turned off. I knew she didn't want to answer me.
"It's okay if you don't want to answer, I'll just have to find out from Kendrick." I stood up and I headed for the door when my mum spoke,
"Then you must know of Alocaus" I stopped in my tracks.
"After I was thrown into the forest of wolves, I met the priestess. She saved me from a pack of wolves who wanted nothing more than to shred me to pieces. We went to her cave where she dwelled and she narrated all she has been through. Nothing much actually, just that she got blind during one of her squabbles with the wolves" My legs were getting numb already so I walked back to my seat.
"Long story short, the priestess casted a spell that will rid the queen of her powers to communicate with Hapoda, the god of witches. It was something like a revenge spell casted for all the pain she put both of us through. Not communicating with the witch God will make her as good as useless on the throne. No divine being to give advice to her, she'll only end up bringing the coven to ruins."
My mum hurriedly explained all these and I understood, but then, something was missing. From what Kendrick said, Alocaus's blood was used to cast the spell. My mum never said anything about that.
"What about Alocaus's blood?, Wasn't that used to cast the spell as well?" I questioned.
"I won't go into details with Alocaus for the main time, not until you remember. And no matter what Jake does, stay by his side, he's the only one that could protect you. Mark my words Violet." My mum said before she stood up to go back to bed, "Don't believe everything that Kendrick tells you, be wary of him. Goodnight!"
After having this conversation with my mother, I was only left more demented. Why does everyone assume I know Alocaus?, I mean how in the name of the moon goddess I'm I supposed to know about a being when I'm only but a mere werewolf.
Kendrick says not to believe mum, mum says not to believe Kendrick. Where I'm I going to get answers, who I'm I going to believe?!
...
["Safina!" A deep male voice called,
"Alocaus, I've been waiting forever!"
"I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting. I have something important to tell you" The man held the woman's face and only the sky could bear witness to the amount of love both held in their eyes.
"I'll be leaving for earth, but I'll be back soon."
"When will you be back?" Safina asked sadly,
"Soon" was all Alocaus said as he engulfed them in a passionate kiss.
"Alocaus! No! Alocaaaaauuuus!" Safina screamed as she looked at her lover been caged in endless sleep.]
"Alocaaaaauuuus" I jerked up from my sleep immediately while screaming that god's name. I was drenched In my own sweat while panting like I just finished a marathon. Clumps of my hair plastered on my forehead as my eyes wavered in confusion. I was now dreaming of him. I must have heard his name countless times to have dreamt of something so unusual, I tried convincing my self while trying to calm my beating heart with by hands rubbing on it. I understand that dreaming about Alocaus was because of I heard of his name too many times, but why was I dreaming about Safina?!
...
"Thank you mum!" I greeted after I was done with my meal. My mum prepared a delicious french toast with coffee as breakfast for me and I couldn't be more filled.
"Welcome dearie, now run home immediately"
"But this is my home mum."
"I know this is and will always be your home, but your husband would definitely not like it if you stay out too late."
"I would like to take that as a joke" I sneered as a picked an apple from the fruit basket before me and began munching on it.
"He'll come around soon, he just can't come to terms with the marriage thingy yet, you instead, should learn to make him comfortable around you"
"And do you think I've come to terms?!. Any way mum, I'm not arguing this with you. I'll still end up at Jake's house anyway" My mum just shook her head at me before she went to drop the dishes in the kitchen.
"Say mum, I had a very weird dream."
"About what dear?"
"Alocaus and one Safina like that. Isn't it funny" I chuckled before taking a bite from my apple.
"What was the dream about?" My mum froze as she asked this question. I slowed down my chewing and took in her facial expression. Was that more than a dream?
"Just two lovers saying good bye. Alocaus was coming back to earth if I could remember. I couldn't make out their faces though, but their conversation has been stuck with me ever since." I said nonchalantly, I'm sure it was an ordinary dream. I definitely do not know any Safina nor Alocaus. My mum walked to where I was and half sat on the dining table. One hand stroke my hair while the other held my hand.
"Don't forget that dream Violet. If possible write it down, and many more of these dreams that will come. I believe Hapoda is trying to communicate with you" my mum said seriously. She saw the confusion on my face before she said,
"Remember the priestess said you were special. Don't forget that, you're special Violet." She sighed as she gave me a light pat on the cheek before she went back to continue what she was doing.
