Chapter 19 The past II

PRINCESS LUCIA POV.
Ever wondered what happened after I got thrown into the forest of wolves?
_ _ _
I was thrown into the forest of wolves and the guards stood at the entrance making sure I got deeper into the forest. They didn't need to do that though, I was never coming back to this hell. The only thing I regret was not getting to talk to my dad to clear some things, aside from that, I'd rather die than breath air here ever again.
After walking for hours inside the forest, I could hear howling of wolves fom a distance which made goosebumps appear on my skin. The howling became louder, accompanied with thumping on the ground. I look ahead and I could see them. They were coming in groups with danger lurking in their red eyes. They looked like they wanted nothing more than to tear me, their prey, to pieces. Rouges. I heard about them from Richard. They were mindless werewolves who the moon goddess abandoned because of their evil doings. Their human part was no longer with them and they belonged to no pack. They were always identified with their red eyes for the most part.
I didn't have time to stand and think for a way out. I did what I thought was best at the moment. I ran. I didn't know where I was going, but I still ran. They were closing in on me, my legs were giving out. `is this were it ends?` I thought as I slowed down my pace.
I was already ready to get eaten, when someone used what seemed like a fishing rod to lift me up. I was hanging on the air while the person was sitting on a tree. I looked the rouges growling madly at me as they tried to reach for my leg. They bit the hem of my gown and tried drawing me down, but they ended up only getting the piece of my gown, as the person holding me lifted me higher.
After jumping and growling for a few more minutes they left. That was a close call.
"They are gone now, can you please let me down" I said to the person holding me me up.
The person released me and I fell with a loud thud on the ground. I could still remember having a severe cut on the knee because of that fall. It left a scar.
The person jumped down skillfully from the tree as well. It was an old woman. She wore a hood that flowed down the floor. The hood cap was covering her face but it didn't hide her pale pure white eyes.
"Follow me!" She ordered and turned to the opposite direction as she walked. Cluelessly I followed her. I was suspicious, but she saved me and I had no where else to go.
We reached a cave that was located not too far from where the rouges attacked me. There was a river flowing at the back, and a lot of herbs growing around. I followed her into the cave and I could tell that she had been living here for quite a long time.
"Sit down." She said pointing to the cave wall. She was blind. She actually wanted to point to a stone but ended up positing to a wall.
"Princess Lucia" She said and my eyes widened. She knew me!
"How do you know me?" I asked utterly surprised. Wait!. I remembered the guards saying something about my mother throwing the priestess inside the forest of wolves.
"Are you the priestess from the Divine witch coven?" I asked and she confirmed my suspicion by saying,
"Yes"
Woah! It has been over a decade since she had been thrown into this horrible place. How did she survive? And how come she's blind? I'm sure the guards never said anything about the priestess being blind.
"I know you have questions, lots of 'em, but you have to eat first" she said as she passed me a bowl of herbal soup. Actually she was still pointing to the wall and I had to stand up to collect it from her.
The food was okay. Not my style but it was good. It tasted too healthy. Lots of herbs were added.
"I'm done eating" I said as I placed the bowl on the floor next to me.
"Good. Let's move on" she said as she held her stick and stood up. Every step she took seemed like she'll collapse on the ground the next minute with the way her hands and leg were shaking. I wanted to go help her but I decided against it, seems like she needed no help.
She slowly picked a big pearl with both hands and faced it to the cave wall again.
"I'm actually seated right here" I said carefully as I turned her hand to my direction. I didn't want to offend her with any wrong choice of words.
"Place both hands on that pearl" She said after she returned to her seat. The pearl looked like any other pearl, just bigger. What was so special about it, I wondered.
"Close your eyes and don't think about anything" She said and I heard her chanting some words.
Before I knew what was happening, I was engulfed in a very bright light that came from the pearl. My eyes were closed but the brightness still seeped in somehow making my eyes hurt.
"Do you see him?" The priestess asked.
"Yes"I responded in a robotic manner.
"Make sure your daughter gets married to him, he's the only one that can protect her"
"But he's dead" I said. What I was seeing, was a young man in a tomb, it looked old. His hands were crossed over his chest, his eyes was closed and the only covered part of his body were his privates. The tomb looked pretty old so this must be ages ago. But why was he skin still fresh. Nothing about him decayed. He looked like he was sleeping. A frown was etched on his face as if trying set free but he was stuck.
"Do you see it now" The priestess asked and I nodded. He wasn't dead, a spell was casted on him, And who cast spells? Witches!!
