Jake's POV
That was smooth right?. I expected that she'll ask that question so I cooked up a pretty lie that I think she believed. She has no choice than to believe anyway, she doesn't remember a thing.
We finished preparing, packed our stuffs and luggages and headed to the airport. Violet still hasn't looked me in the eye since I told her 'what' seemingly happened last night.
It took us another eight hours before we finally got to our destination. The Maldives. The country was absolutely gorgeous. I took in a breath of fresh air as I dragged my luggage to the taxi waiting in front of the airport. Violet was still walking slowly with her luggage. Can't she just get over it and let this matter be over?. I don't want to remember what I did last night either.
"Hurry up" I yelled at Violet before she quickened her pace.
"Where to sir?" The driver asked as he ignited the car engine.
"Soneva Fushi" I said as I looked at the address my mum wrote on a piece of paper.
According to her, it was newly built and was ranked one of best honeymoon spot in Maldives.
We got shown to our room by one of the bell boy. What more could I say. The Soneva Fushi hotel room is on a water and has a slide that leads to the ocean. The hotel room was very spacious, luxurious, and it has a spectacular view.
The bell boy left us and we were left all alone in the room. I was so tired from the flight that I went straight to the bed. My body sank into the very fluffy bed. I didn't even have to try to sleep as sleep came immediately.
I opened my eyes and saw Violet lying on the couch while typing on her phone. Texting Kimberly maybe.
I woke up and did my thing without even minding her. Her sight left her phone to look at me before looking back at her phone. We were back to avoiding each other and I had no problem with that.
"Would you like to have dinner?" The same bell boy from earlier asked. I didn't even notice that the hue of the sky had already turned black. I was not hungry when I woke up, but now that he mentioned dinner, I am.
"Yes, please." Violet already answered before I could.
The food came in no time and we were sitting on the dining outside on the room balcony, while facing each other. Violet immediately placed a spoon full of mashed potatoes in her mouth and exclaimed while chewing on it.
"It tastes really great!" She told the bell boy.
"I'm glad you like it. I'll leave you two to your dinner" He said before he turned to leave, but stopped in his tracks half way.
"I forgot to let you know, we have a couple game tomorrow by the beach. Amazing prices to be won as well. Like the latest Fendi bag for the females and a lastest PS game for the males, amongst many other exciting prices to be won. I hope you'll be in attendance, the more the merrier" The bell boy smiled warmly before he finally left.
That did the trick. The prices I mean. I looked at Violet who in turn stared at me while picking on her food.
"I love Fendi bags. The lastest one is a limited edition that has only two stocked." Violet finally said.
"Where are you going with this?" I asked, while taking a sip of soup. I knew what she was trying to say, I'm not stupid. I just wanted her to beg me. I need that lastest PS as well. Been meaning to buy one but I've been so cramped with work. The one Thomas and I play is outdated already.
I was going to ask if she didn't anyway, but now that she did, I'mma use it to my advantage.
"Will you play the couple game with me?" She asked reluctantly.
"No," I said flatly.
"Ok" she didn't say anything else. Wasn't she going to beg?! I should have just agreed!.
"I'll agree on one condition" I said, I couldn't let that PS go to another person.
"What?" Violet asked expectantly. Seems like she'll do anything for that Fendi bag.
"You owe me one wish. I can use it anytime, any day" I said. I was still hoping to get something out of this.
"Deal" She answered. That was so easy. Maybe she underestimated the things I could make her do. Anytime, any day.
*Next morning*
We were a total of eleven couples standing on a straight line while facing the beach.
"Alright, the first game is called `piggyback swim`" The host said.
"The male will carry his female partner on his back and swim to that finish line to and fro. This would be done in two laps" He said while pointing to the finish line rope that was held by two staffs. "The price for this game is an exclusive romantic dinner in the middle of the sea, sponsored by the hotel"
"Woohoo!" The couples cheered as they clapped.
Since we are here already we have to win. I hate losing.
The females went to the back of their male partner and got ready to climb their back. Violet jumped on my back and I held her by the thigh. She was so light. I bet I could win this game so easily without even stressing my self. This was going to be a breeze.
"On your mark! Set!....Go!"
I immediately dived in the water and swam. I couldn't hold Violet's thigh as I was swimming so she hugged my torso with her legs. Occasionally her feet would brush my crotch and it will send shocking waves down my spine. It made me freeze when ever that happened.
"Move faster" Violet half yelled, her breath tickling my skin. We were already last place in the first lap and with my werewolf speed I immediately met up with half of the second lap.
We were almost there until her feet touched my crotch again. This was the fifth time now. By now my little brother was already standing at attention. No one could see me like this.
I swam in one spot until it went down before going back on land. Embarrassingly, we were last place. First place were an Indian couple who smiled like they just won the lottery.
"Let's move on to the second game. This is the highlight of the event. The winners will go home with the lastest limited edition Fendi bag and the lastest PS game." Violet's and my ears perked up at this. We must win this!.
"The rules of the game are as follows. You and your partner will have one of your legs tied together. One will be the right, while the other will be the left. The two of you will learn how to walk with three legs while doing some games. This game has to do with cooperation" The host said and everyone nodded in understanding.
The staff came to where we were and tied both of our legs together. My right leg was joined together with Violet's left leg. Her left hand wrapped around my shoulders and my right hand around hers.
"This game is a round of three. If you don't complete the task within the stipulated time, you will be eliminated." The host said. "First round is 'eat the snack'"
A snack was tied to a rope which was tied on a stand. We were meant to eat the snack with our mouth directly without using our hands. Stipulated time was 30s.
"Three! Two! One!"
We ran to were the snack was together with our three legs. With much difficulty and lots of falling we got to where the snack was. I immediately started reaching for the snack and I quickly took a bite from it. Violet was still struggling with hers and we were running out of time. The rope kept moving away from her whenever her lips brushed the snack.
"Ten" the host began the count down.
Feeling the pressure with the little amount of time we have, I decided to help her. I used my teeth to hold the rope still so the she could take a bite, and she did. Only that her lips brushed mine in the process.
"Time up!" The host announced and thankfully we made it to the next round.
The air around Violet and I was very awkward after that unplanned kiss.
We won two out of the three rounds and the prizes went to us. Violet was so happy and that she forgot about our situation and gave me a very big hug. I felt my heart beating rapidly. I was happy as well but at the same time I was over happy. I'm sure I wouldn't feel this overjoyed over a PS game. I turned to look at Violet and realized what was happening. The abundant happiness was not mine but Violet's. This mate thing was really happening. I could feel her emotions now!
The remaining of our stay was wonderful with loads of activities. Surfing, sun bathing, spar, food, drinks. If not for anything, this was the best vacation I've ever been on. Premium castaway resort! great food, superb service, fabulous activities, I couldn't ask for more.
Well it was time to return back to America and go back to my hellish life. I still haven't forgotten about what Violet's mum and I discussed. I never take any information about Emily lightly.
It was still a great vacation though, just the mate bond messing with my mind.
