Jake's POV
I came home and met Violet setting the table.
"Hey, come have some dinner." She smiled at me before she went to kitchen to bring the other dishes. What's with this newlywed vibe I was getting from the atmosphere?
I was famished anyway so I brushed of every other thoughts and focused on the food in front of me.
Violet readied everything and came to sit opposite me.
"Do you like the food?" She asked. I caught her stealing glances at me once in a while but...I still brushed it off.
"Let me take that for you" she said as she walked to my seat and helped take off my jacket. If I thought everything was okay before, I now thought that something was definitely wrong.
"Do you need anything from me?" I asked as I cut the piece of meat on my plate.
"Not really. I just want us to..,talk" I gave her a glance before I went back to my food. What could she possibly want to talk about?!
"I'll get that" she said and she stood up to take the dishes to the sink. She was acting really strange today.
I left the dishes to her and went up to my room. After an exhausting day from work, a cold shower and a long sleep would do the trick.
I had just shorts when Violet knocked. With my face towel draped on my neck I walked to open the door
"I need to talk to you" she said.
"We are already talking" I didn't even bother to offer her a seat.
"Ummm..."
"Spit it out already, I'm already tired as it is" I said as I went to the closet to pick my shirt.
"Do you feel it too?" She asked, "I keep hearing the word 'mate' whenever you're around me, I'm just so confused"So that's the reason for her strange behavior earlier. She knew about the bond still being there.
I wasn't really listening to what she was saying. My senses were befuddled by a particular scent. Violets. She smelled like Violets. 'Soft, tender aura, a bit similar to iris, powdery' she smelt exactly like those. The mate bond was leveling up. I could now smell that unique scent that would only belong to my mate. The pull of attraction towards her was becoming stronger and there was no way I could stop it.
My eyes trailed to her lips. She was nervously biting on it. I slowly stalked her and she moved backwards. I've never been this drawn to a woman before, it was making me go crazy.
"What are you do-" I didn't get to hear the remaining part because I cut her off with a kiss. The moment our lips met I felt Violet's leg weaken. I held her waist to keep her in place. The once sensual and slow kiss progressed into a rough and demanding kiss, her labored breath fanning my face.
This was illegal, but I couldn't stop. The taste of her lips on mine was heavenly. I wanted nothing more than to see how other parts would taste like. But something was stopping me... Emily. The more I dived deeper into the kiss, the more Emily's retracting figure becomes vivid in my head. I could see it clearly, Violet pushing Emily down the cliff.
"I can't breathe" Violet manage to say amidst the passionate kiss we were sharing and I came to my senses immediately.
She stared me in the eye as she waited for me to say something, her lips plump from my ministration.
"Leave"
"What?" She wanted to confirm if she heard right.
"I said leave!" I hollered. Violet immediately scurried out of my room like a scared chicken. It's been a long time since I'd seen her that way. And what was that I saw in her eyes? Hope?, Was she really hoping for things to work out between us, after everything she had done to Emily?. That'll be over my dead body. That's if I didn't die already due to this boner Violet left me with.
I picked my phone and called Felicia. I really needed a release.

"You asked for me" Felicia sultrily said as she entered my room. She came earlier than expected even at this late hour. That's the only trait I like about her, she's always ready whenever I ask for her.
"Strip!" I ordered without beating around the bush.
"Why should I? Or are you trying to tell me that your little wife can't satisfy you?" I knew what she wanted. She wanted to see me desperate, she wanted me to beg and apologize for what happened at the wedding. But there was no way I was going to apologize to her, she wasn't worth it!.
"I have other women who are ready to be in Your position right now. You are in no place to give conditions. Strip!" I had no time to play games with her.
That did the trick. Immediately I let out those words her shirt went over her head, her coconut sized breasts jiggling in the process. Just like I thought, she wore no bra.
"I was just so upset after that day. I'm sorry" she said as she walked towards me while occasionally bouncing her breast. Nothing of that aroused me. It irritated me instead. The voice she used was supposed to be sound sexy, rather it sounded like a cacophony to my ears. Never happened before.
"Lie of your front, your ass up" I ordered. She didn't waste time in taking the remaining of her clothes off and heeding to my order.
In one swift rough motion I slid into her.
"Ahh, Jake!" Her moans sounded disgusting. This mate bond will be the death of me. I couldn't help but feel repulsed when I'm with the opposite gender, apart from my mate of course.
The more I slid in and out, the more turned off I get, but I needed that release. I resulted into the one thing I thought could help. I imagined Violet being the one on the bed and not Felicia. And it worked.
"Yes...Yes...oh Jake.. Yes" Felicia kept moaning incoherent rubbish when I began moving faster. I guessed she was close. I was as well.
With my eyes shut tightly, I imagined Violet's little hole tightening around my shaft. Not long after, I reached my very own high, almost immediately after Felicia. I rolled of her back as I lay lax on the bed.
What in the fucking name of the moon goddess was that. Today has just been shitty.
First I found out Emily's alive but she's with the vampires whom I know nothing about and now I couldn't have sex without thinking about Violet.
What sort of silly game was the moon goddess playing!.
