Chapter 60 Deep Thoughts

Martin passed Azaiah a paper with a lotus drawing in it. She smiled because he finally achieved to draw its real look. Martin looked satisfied after seeing her look. Thea is muttering something from the corner.
“I want to change seats.” She changed seats with a girl from behind. She shot an annoyed look at Martin who was supposed to be her seatmate.
Martin is looking at her with disbelief to whatever was expressed by Thea.
“Just leave her whatever she wants.” Ehaan stated coolly. He was staring at her unbothered.
--------
She met eyes with Alcuin. She looked down upon meeting gazes with him.
She cannot look at him without feeling uncomfortable. It was for the incident that came last week that it wrecked her for a bit. She wants to clear the air.
She feels like apologizing to Alcuin and to make amends through initiating a talk to Thea.
---------
Calli was eyeing Ajax before her eyes went to Azaiah who is looking down. Then she stared at Alcuin.
She couldn’t have a good grasp of the thing that is happening between all of them.
She stared at Cloud who’s eyes twinkled with innocence. It’s Calli’s opinion on his eyes.
Not a hint of anything black and dark is in his eyes. It’s clear. The vividness of purity in him. She focused staring at him, observing his reactions.
The buzzer sound came in and it is time for their next subject. And Azaiah stood from her seat. She is about to approach Thea but Alcuin stopped her. Her eyes went to his hand which is grabbing her wrist. Alcuin let it go.
“Don’t approach her for a while.” He told her. He knows his cousin. He doesn’t want Azaiah to faced her wraths.
He stared back at her. “Can we talk?” He was calm in asking her.
Azaiah didn’t immediately respond at him. Before she starts nodding at what he said.
Cloud is checking them out. He is smiling at the two of them.
“I just couldn’t hate him.” He uttered before he saw Cloud head outside the room.
“Why?” She asked him.
“Because he’s cute.” He answered.
They both smiled after that. Both were holding themselves for a bit.
“We definitely need to talk.” She stated Alcuin’s request once again. Thinking of the importance of clearing things between the two of them, she stressed that out.
Alcuin agreed.
“You need to head to our next class.” Ehaan cleared a word of reminder to both of them. It’s for the reason that the class may ran out of seats and they should head there. “Need to be fast enough to grab one.” He added.
Ehaan’s words confused them for a bit.
There is enough seats for everyone in the lecture anyway. But why is Ehaan is saying about securing seats? Ehaan waited for them to say something.
“It’s important to not be late.” He was telling them his thoughts. He’s thinking that they should start going inside the next class.
Azaiah is a bit late in processing what Ehaan said. She began blinking before she stared at Alcuim. “I think we should probably better talk later.” She told him.
------
The two head out after class. Maria Amelia is there outside with a car. Azaiah’s eyes squinted. It wasn’t her mother’s car. She saw the person who opened the door and it is some business tycoon. She knew him. It is one of her mother’s friends who made visits at their old house back then.
“Is that.” Alcuin started talking after seeing the man.
Their eyes both stared at each other. They walk towards them, approaching the two who are waiting.
“Alcuin.” The man said before he pulled him close for a hug.
Amelia was smiling as she stared at the two.
After making pats on Alcuin shoulders, he then smiled at Azaiah. “Well hello there, Azaiah. You’re friends with this young man?” He was reffering to Alcuin.
Azaiah moved her head slowly. She nodded.
“I am friends with his father.” His eyes went to Amelia who is already staring at him.
They both stared at each other as if they agree on something.
“I am supposed to get my child for lunch.” Amelia gently put her hands on Azaiah’s shoulders. “But since you have company.”
Her eyes went to her child. “You can take your friend, Azaiah.”
Azaiah’s eyes went to Alcuin. Before her eyes went back to her mother. “He’s probably busy, Mom.”
Amelia’s smiled widened. She was straight in her gaze at Alcuin. “Are you busy, Alcuin?” She said it in a sweet tone.
“I am not, Ma’am.” He said his no. He can go and join them.
They went inside the car. Side by side they are sitting beside each other.
Both were stiff as they remain their silence upon sitting in the car. Amelia and the man didn’t recognize the discomfort that is going on between the two.
They were happily chatting before the man started the engine. Azaiah and Alcuin can only give each other glances.
------
“Ajax.” Calli called him to get his attention.
His eyes were deeply fixed into staring at the car that had just left. He saw them together again. He saw how Amelia and the man were insinuating something with the way their eyes flicked when they saw the two. He then remembered what happened to his parents. And the words that came out of his mother’s mouth about Azaiah’s mother, Amelia.
“Ajax Galen, you are spacing out.” Calli called him. She saw the two of them too but she wasn’t that affected. She was looking into examining Galen who looks like thoughts stopped coming in inside his head as his stares never left the spot where the car left with Azaiah in it.
He was in deep thoughts that Calli is starting to notice it.
“Galen.” She’s muttering his name in a soft manner. Taking a hold on his arms and touching it lightly she wanted to speak another word at him again. “Are you okay?” She asked.
He seemed taken aback; he’s brought back to the reality once again upon hearing her voice. He simply stared at her and gave her a light nod.
“Galen, we have a practice.” Cloud was there to break the reserved absence of sound among the two. He was waiting for Galen to say something. “We have a practice.” He reminded him again.
“I’ll watch you guys practice.” Calli said with a much enthusiasm that got the boys’ attention.
“And after that, I know a place where you can relax Galen.” She said while staring at him with the determination that it can take its attention away from the hustling continuous thoughts that seemed to affect Galen’s mind.
