I turned back at Lucas and swim again, trying to get away more. 
Maybe I shouldn’t think about it too much. Lucas ain’t pressuring me, he didn’t even said that he’ll court me. He just confessed and then told me if he could take me on a date but he never told me he likes me. And somehow I felt relieved he didn’t say that, I just don’t want to hear it until I sort out my feelings.
I was about to turn my back on him to enter my room when he took a step closer to me and faced me.
“Stop pouting and frowning on me, after you wash up you should sleep. Goodnight, you have a long day tomorrow,” he said and kissed me on my cheek. I sighed and nodded at him.
“Yeah, night.”
I didn’t wait for him to say anything. I entered my room and bit my lower lip.
He’s so moody! I didn’t do anything on him so why is he being cold at me?
I took a bath still irritated. I just calmed when I finished fixing myself. Maybe he’s tired and he feel sleepy but couldn’t leave me there that’s why he’s cold.
I blow dry my hair and put on some night cream. After that, I checked my laptop for emails and received one message from each of my team. Rica called but I couldn’t answer her since I was taking a bath that time. I just texted her and minutes later she called.
“And why didn’t you answer my call earlier?” she asked in a teasing way, as usual.
“I enjoyed the sea earlier and took a shower after, I was taking a bath when you called. I just finished blow drying my hair. Stop teasing me,” I said continuously.
She just laughed hysterically that made me laugh too, she’s really crazy.
It took almost an hour before she decided to end our conversation. It was already 11:00 in the evening. Lucas called after Rica ended the call. 
What made him call? Did he have a problem? I thought he’s sleepy.
“Hello?” I greeted hesitantly.
“You’re talking to someone for almost an hour,” he said in a low voice. I bit my lower lip as I felt something weird inside me.
“I-it was R-Rica,” I said feeling nervous for some reasons I couldn’t name.
I heard him chuckled, it even sounded like he was relieved or something. Or maybe I’m just overthinking things.
“Right, you should sleep now,” he said.
I pouted. He called to tell me to sleep?
I didn’t ended the call and remained silent. He’s breathing heavily. Is he alright?
“Please sleep now, don’t talk to someone else,” he groaned. It made me smile, I could imagine him now, and he looks problematic.
“Okay,” I said trying to contain my feelings.
I heard him murmured some curses. I laughed a bit and then he sighed.
“Hmm, I’ll sleep now. Don’t worry I won’t talk to anyone. You should sleep too, I thought you’re sleepy when you were waiting for me earlier,” I said feeling sleepy too.
“I wasn’t feeling sleepy as I wait for you,” he said sounding better now.
“You were so serious and grumpy the whole time you were waiting for me,” I explained.
“Hmm, I wasn’t. I was just pissed a lot of guys were eyeing on you,” he said in a low voice that sent shiver down my spine. I bit my lower lip trying to stop myself from smiling.
“Really? I didn’t saw them,” I said, sounding sleepy.
He chuckled, “You should sleep now, good night,” he said.
“Hmm, good night,” I said and ended the call.

Wearing a black tube top, black high waist short and a pair of flop-flops, I walked in to the venue of our conference with Tanya, my assigned partner for this morning activity.
“You’re with your boyfriend, Veronica?” she asked. We were sitting on our designated table.
The lecturer just finished her presentation about techniques on shadings, now we were tasked to do an actual activity. We have our own drawing monitor for this event.
We were all busy with out task that I didn’t expect her to ask me a question like that.
“You two look good together,” she added and smiled.
“He’s not my boyfriend,” I said. She looked at me shocked.
“Really? Well you two looked like you were boyfriend and girlfriend. Are you sure? Why don’t you just make him your boyfriend?” she asked very curious. I just smiled at him and continued with my work.
“You should make him your boyfriend! Come on, he’s hot and you’re beautiful. And he looked at you like you were the only one he could see, look at him now! He’s watching you, gosh!” she excitedly commented.
I looked at where Lucas is sitting, he was indeed looking at me. He wore his shade and smiled at me before looking away and bit his lip. I pouted and feel my face heating. 
Tanya teased me and I just laughed at her as I felt all the butterflies inside my stomach. Gosh!
After two hours, we finished our works. Tanya decided to draw herself and she literally nailed it, she told me this was her forte and I couldn’t question that. Her work is very detailed and clean, accurate.
She glanced at my drawing and teased me a bit, luckily our instructor was busy checking the works of the other participants.
“You’re good! You’ve got a good eye on him!” she teased me again, I just laughed at her.
“This was my first time trying a human portrait, for sure this has a lot more to improve but yeah I’m satisfied,” I told her feeling happy for my work.
I looked at Lucas, he raised an eyebrow on me. I waved at him and smiled before turning back at Tanya.
