Logan’s POV
“She’ll be okay. And you need to take care of yourself too, Emma. We need to support each other during times like this,” I said, making sure she knew how important her emotional health was, too.
We then sat together in the living room, sharing stories about the day’s activities. Those little moments mattered, reconnecting us and reminding us that we were a team.
As the evening approached, I felt reassured when I saw Emma smile. “I’m glad you’re back. We can enjoy time together again.”
“Yes, we will,” I replied, hoping that we could create more beautiful moments as a family. Even though Scarlett is far away, her love and the relationship we’ve built will always hold us together as one. And through it all, I’m sure that all of our loved ones will find the happiness and healing they may need.
Today, I went to my children’s school to watch their drama performance. The atmosphere in the house had been lively since morning, and I could feel their enthusiasm for the event. As soon as I arrived at the school, I saw many parents gathered, and on a small stage, the children were getting ready to perform.
“Look at our children,” Emma said, her voice full of excitement and pride as she took my hand.
I looked up at the stage and felt a huge smile spread across my face as I saw our four children standing there happily. They were dressed in adorable, colorful costumes and looked so excited. The sight made my heart flutter—with a sense of pride and love.
The show began, and I was immediately captivated by their talent. Adolf, the hero, looked so confident, running around with a big smile. Ainsley, always cheerful, played her part so well, singing beautiful songs with her melodious voice. Their enthusiasm and energy on stage filled the room with joy.
Allonza and Adney were also captivating, collaborating harmoniously in every scene. I was amazed at how well they were able to express themselves. Listening to the laughter and cheers from the crowd, I felt proud to be a part of this family.
“Look at the way they interact with the audience!” Emma added, her eyes sparkling as she watched the children perform. “They’re amazing!”
As the musical progressed, my mind briefly wandered back to all the effort and practice they had put in. All the moments spent together in preparation have strengthened our bond as a family.
The performance was lively, and after several energetic songs and scenes, their performance finally ended with a standing ovation from the audience. The sound of cheers and applause echoed throughout the auditorium, indicating how successful and impressive their performance was.
The children came to the front, their faces shining, and happy smiles adorning their faces. I could see the pride in their eyes, and my heart was filled with gratitude. Seeing them stand confidently on stage, it felt like all the hard work and practice they had put in had paid off.
“Look at their expressions! They’re so happy!” Emma exclaimed, her eyes shining with happiness as she gripped my hand tighter.
After the performance, the children lined up on stage for a photo session. They waved to the audience, and as I caught their gazes, I could feel a strong connection between us. This was a precious moment that we will remember forever.
Emma and I stood up and applauded loudly, along with the other parents who were celebrating their success. “They did so well!” I said, putting my hand on Emma’s shoulder, feeling how proud we were.
When the kids came off stage, they ran up to us. “We did it, Mommy! Daddy!” Adolf shouted enthusiastically.
“You guys did great! We’re so proud of you!” I replied, hugging each of them one by one.
When the official event ended, we waited for the kids to go downstairs. Soon, they were running up to us, excited with stories about everything that happened backstage.
“Daddy, Mommy! We got compliments from the teacher!” Allonza jumped up and down, beaming.
“And we got the caramel!” Adolf added with a big laugh, making everyone laugh.
“It all sounds amazing! We’re so proud of you!” Emma replied, hugging each child lovingly.
After that loving moment, we planned to celebrate their accomplishments. “How about we go out for pizza to celebrate?” I offered, and the kids cheered.
“Pizza! Pizza!” they shouted, and the excitement built up again.
We all headed to the car, the kids chatting excitedly about their experiences on stage. The sense of togetherness and love that radiated between us made me feel how meaningful this moment was.
When we arrived at the pizza place, I saw the kids cheering as they chose their pizza toppings. Today wasn’t just about the show, it was about the bond we had created as a family, the memories that would live on in our hearts forever.
Today was a day we would never forget—a celebration not just of our kids’ successes, but also of the love and togetherness we had built.
Emma’s POV
I was worried about Scarlett, who still hadn’t returned to the office. She was still on leave, and I had heard from Logan that she hadn’t returned because she was still recovering. Concerned and not wanting to just wait around, I decided to visit her.
“Logan, why don’t we go visit Scarlett?” I asked once we were home. “I’m worried about what I’ve heard. Besides, I was there once and I know how important it is to feel supported.”
Logan nodded in agreement. “That’s good. We need to make sure she knows she’s not alone. I also want to make sure she's okay.”
We got ready and made plans to leave. Feelings of anxiety and anticipation welled up inside me. We packed some snacks and drinks into our bags, wanting to make our visit a fun one.
After a while, we finally arrived at Scarlett’s place. The atmosphere around her was peaceful, but I still felt a sense of uncertainty about this meeting. Once again, Logan and I looked at each other, trying to cheer each other on before we stepped inside.
When we knocked on the door, Scarlett answered it looking a little surprised but also happy. “Logan! Emma! I didn’t expect you guys!” she said with a genuine smile, but I could see the tiredness in her eyes.
“Welcome! We just wanted to make sure everything was okay,” I replied warmly, giving her a quick hug. “We brought you some snacks.”
Scarlett nodded, her eyes brighter. “Thank you! That means a lot to me. I’ve been feeling a little lonely here.”
We sat in the living room, soft music playing in the background. Logan and I listened to Scarlett’s story of her recovery and how she struggled with her feelings and tried to find her way back. We gave her the support and encouragement she needed.
“Don’t worry, Scarlett. We’re here for you, and we’re committed to walking with you through this. You’re not alone,” Logan said, his voice soft but firm.
Scarlett looked even more relieved to hear those words. “I appreciate you both so much. It’s been hard, but I’m trying to stay strong.”
We spent precious time together, talking, laughing, and sharing experiences. Slowly, the atmosphere in the room became warm and close. In this moment, I realized how important it is to have each other around, especially when we’re facing challenges in life.
After a few hours, Scarlett seemed more positive. “Thank you, guys. You guys make me feel better,” she said with a warm smile. “Emma, Logan, I promise, I’ll slowly find my way back to work with you guys soon.”
Hearing those words, I felt so relieved and happy. “We’re all so supportive of you, Scarlett. There’s no pressure to rush. What matters most is that you make a full recovery,” I replied, my heart filled with gratitude.
Logan added, “You’ve been through a lot. Take all the time you need. We’ll be here for you when you’re ready to come back.”
Scarlett nodded, her eyes shining with hope. “I know. And having you guys around means a lot to me. It makes me feel like I’m not alone on this journey.”
We continued our conversation with laughter, discussing future plans and the realities of being back in the office. Our conversation was light and refreshing, changing her mood and the atmosphere around her.
When it was time to say goodbye, I reminded her, “Remember, Scarlett, we’re here whenever you need us. Don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything you need.”
“And don’t forget to have some quiet time if you need it,” Logan added, smiling. “We’ll make space for you.”
“Thank you, you guys are so kind,” Scarlett replied, hugging each of us. “I’m so grateful to have you in my life.”
