Emma's POV
But something saddened me because of the unexpected news: Scarlett decided to resign from her job. She would follow Ethan out of town to start a new life together. Hearing the news made my heart feel heavy.
As we walked home, Logan noticed my expression and asked, “Why do you look sad, Emma? Is something wrong?”
I took a deep breath, contemplating my own feelings. “I just… feel lost, Logan. Scarlett has been an important part of my life. We’ve shared so many moments, support, and challenges together. Now, with her gone, it feels like losing a best friend.”
Logan nodded, understanding what I was feeling. “I understand. Everyone who leaves leaves a mark on our hearts. But you have to remember, this is a good move for Scarlett. She deserves to be happy.”
“Yeah, I know. I want the best for her,” I replied, my voice shaking slightly. “But sometimes I feel anxious. What if we can’t connect like we used to? I feel like I’m missing a part of my life.”
“As long as you care about each other, that connection won’t go away, Emma,” Logan said softly. “Technology now allows us to stay connected even though we’re apart.”
“But it’s not like being in person,” I replied, feeling a pang of longing. “We’ve been through so much together, and now things are different.”
Logan placed his hand on my shoulder empathetically. “Change is hard. But you’ll also have the opportunity to connect with someone new. How about we become good friends with Ethan, too? That might help ease your sense of loss.”
Hearing his suggestion, I felt a little more at ease. “You’re right. If Ethan wants what’s best for Scarlett, I’m sure he’ll keep our relationship as friends and sisters-in-law.” That feeling gave me a little hope, reminding me that even though we’re apart, the connection we’ve made can still be maintained.
Logan smiled, pleased by my positive attitude. “I see, we’ll find a way to stay close. We can plan a visit, or just talk on video calls. A good relationship can keep things going,” he said, supportive.
“Right,” I replied with growing enthusiasm. “And maybe one day we can go visit her. Then we can have fun and celebrate all the things that have happened in our lives.”
“Exactly! We can plan a vacation out of town. I’m sure the kids will love it too,” Logan added enthusiastically.
As we walked home, my heart felt a little lighter. While the loss of Scarlett in our daily lives would be felt, I also remembered all the wonderful memories we had created together. And now, with the new opportunity to explore a new world as well, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to celebrate our lives.
“Thank you, Logan. You always make me feel better,” I said, looking at him gratefully.
“Always, Emma. We’ll always have each other’s backs, no matter what,” he replied, giving me a warm smile.
We continued to talk about the changes that had occurred in our lives, and despite the sadness, I began to feel more optimistic about the future. Logan shared his views on how each phase of life brings its own challenges, but also opportunities for growth and self-discovery.
“Life is about accepting change, adapting, and rediscovering the joy that comes,” I said, reflecting on my own thoughts.
“And remember, every experience, good or bad, shapes who we are today,” Logan replied with a smile. “We learn from it, and with each step, we grow stronger.”
With Logan’s support, I felt confident that everything we had been through would continue to strengthen us and strengthen our bonds of friendship. It felt like there was a light at the end of the tunnel—that despite the uncertainty and loss, we also had so much more to look forward to in the future.
As time passed, I imagined all the adventures that lay ahead. Our family would continue to grow, and I hoped that Scarlett would find happiness with Ethan. We would all support each other on this journey, celebrating our successes and lifting each other up when we faced challenges.
Then suddenly, my eyes fell on the children playing in the living room, their laughter and joy a reminder that life is full of unexpected joys. “Look at them,” I said, smiling. “They are the reason we continue to push and adapt.”
Logan followed my turn, and we both felt a sense of joy as we watched the children interact. “Yes. They are the ones who bring new hope into our lives,” he replied.
Back in the warm and loving atmosphere of our home, I knew that even though we would face changes, we would have each other to lean on. As long as we kept each other’s support and kept the love in our hearts, we could handle whatever came next. And with that in mind, I felt ready to face whatever life brought.
Tonight was an erotic night for Logan and me. After a long and emotionally charged day, I felt grateful to be by his side. He provided the comfort I had been missing, making me feel safe and loved.
As he approached, he gently touched my cheek and kissed my forehead. The touch sent a wave of warmth through my body. In his arms, I felt as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
The warmth of Logan’s body enveloped me, giving me a sense of calm and peace that was unmatched. “I’m here for you,” he whispered softly, his voice soothing, making me feel appreciated and loved.
That moment made my heart beat faster, in the middle of the calm night, I could feel the energy of our love flowing inside me. I am happy to live with him, together through every twist and turn, and share precious moments.
“Thank you for always being there for me, Logan,” I said, my gaze full of gratitude. “You make my life so much more beautiful.”
He looked at me deeply, and I could see the deep love in his eyes. “You are everything to me, Emma. Nothing is more important than seeing you happy.”
I smiled, feeling that tonight was one of many precious moments that we would remember. The warmth and love that we had became a strong foundation in our lives. With Logan, I felt lucky and loved, and I knew that we would continue to support and love each other, no matter what happened in the future.
The next morning, as usual, I prepared breakfast in the kitchen, enjoying a quiet moment before the day began. The smell of food being cooked enveloped the house, and a warm atmosphere was felt throughout the room.
Suddenly, Adney's voice broke the silence. "Mom, today we start the class promotion exam, pray for us, okay?" he said with a face full of enthusiasm and a little anxiety.
I turned, looking at him with a warm smile. “Of course, Adney! Mom will always pray for the best for all of you. "Remember, the most important thing is effort and belief in yourself," I answered, reminding them to stay calm.
The other children started to come to the dining table, hearing our conversation. “We will definitely do our best!” Allonza exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious to everyone.
Adolf added, “Yes! We have studied well. Hope everything goes smoothly!”
I saw the joy on their faces and felt a deep sense of pride. "Yes, you have tried hard, and I'm sure you can do well. Whatever the result, what is important is the process and the lessons you get."
Ainsley, always cheerful, said, “We will give our best, Mom. Thank you for your support!"
After preparing breakfast, we all sat together and enjoyed the food. The atmosphere at the table was filled with laughter and jokes, making me feel happy to be with them at times like this.
When breakfast was over, I reminded them, “Don’t forget to stay calm during the exam. Take a deep breath and focus. I believe in all of you!”
After making sure everyone was ready, I gave them a quick hug. “Okay, go and give your best. I will be waiting for good news from you!” I said lovingly.
The children looked excited, their faces filled with confidence and enthusiasm. “We will definitely do it, Mom!” Adolf replied, nodding confidently.
They started to move towards the door, encouraging each other. Adney gestured to his brother to walk faster, while Allonza looked a little more anxious, but Ainsley kindly tried to calm him down.
“Don’t worry, we’ve studied well. We can do it!” Ainsley said, making Allonza smile for a moment.
As the door closed and her voice grew distant, I felt a mixture of pride and emotion. Watching my children grow into confident, supportive individuals is one of the greatest joys of my life.
