Jin, did you miss me?" Himari asked, hugging Jin's arm. 
Himari appears to misinterpret his silence and decides on her own to turn it into a game. Himari declares that she must do her best so that Jin will finally speak to her and give her the attention she seeks. Lester just laughed when he heard that before following them into the elevator. Jin simply ignores them both, hoping that his patience will last until they arrive at the penthouse. 
"Jin, did you miss me? Because before I go to sleep last night, I suddenly miss your touch and voice. But I restrained myself from calling you thinking that you might be resting at that time already." 
"What are you trying to do this time?"
"Oh! You finally speak to me!" Himari beamed. "As for your question, I am trying to be a coquettish woman today. Who knows if this will finally get your full attention, right?"
When they heard Himari's answer, Lester was the first to laugh. That jerk laughs as if he is heard the best joke in the world. Himari looks confused at Lester, while Jin sneers at his friend.
"Ace, are you okay? Do I need to call the medics for you?" Himari asked.
"No need for that. But you just made my day today, Himari." Lester said while wiping the tears hanging on his eyelashes.
"Oh, okay. You're always welcome, Ace!" Himari said and smiled sweetly at him. Then she turn her focus back on her boyfriend. "What about you, Jin? Is your day complete because I am now in your arms?"
"Tch." 
Jin nudges his arm with some force, pushing Himari's arms away from him. When her arms are no longer holding him, Jin puts his hands in his pocket and warns Himari not to touch him again. Himari simply pouted her lips before letting out a sigh and shrug her shoulders. 
When the elevator doors open, Dice is already waiting for them outside. Jin squinted in irritation as he wore a flashy neon blue suit. Even Lester gives Dice a skeptic look before shaking his head. However, the assassin ignores them and focuses on the woman standing next to Jin.
"Hello, beautiful lady! This is for you." Dice said and gives Himari a small bouquet. 
"Thank you! But why are you giving me these flowers?" Himari asked.
"You will know in a minute. So Jin, please let me borrow your pretty girlfriend for a few minutes, okay?"
Before Jin can respond, Dice is gently tugging Himari's arm and turning her body around. Then Dice pulls a handkerchief from his pocket and covers Himari's eyes. Himari tries to ask what is going on, but he does not want to ruin their surprise. He slowly leads her inside the penthouse, with Jin and Lester following them from behind. 
When Jin looks around the room again, he notices that the pink balloon on the ceiling from before is no longer there. Instead, the center table is laden with delectable dishes and desserts. There are two separate tables beside it. The first table has a tower of champagne glasses on it, and the second table on the right is filled with gift boxes.
The childish artist, the slacker detective, and Lily have already arrived in the room. Jin can only assume that Lily, not Vincent, arranged all of this. At the very least, this setup is better than their first attempt.
"Alright, Himari! I am going to remove this blindfold now." Dice said. "In three, two, one!"
When Dice removes Himari's blindfold, he and Vincent joyfully shout 'Happy Birthday!'. Himari is clearly taken aback, leaving her speechless for a brief moment. Blinking, she turns her head to face Jin.
"Is your birthday today?"
"No!" Vincent shouted all of a sudden.
"No? Then who?" Himari asked.
"You."
"Me?"
"Your birthday."
"My birthday?"
"Yes. Your birthday!"
"What about my birthday?"
"Today is your birthday!"
"Today?"
"Yes!"
"Then why am I not aware of it?" 
"..."
An awkward silence suddenly falls over the entire room. Gael, Dice, Vincent, and Lily are all focused on Jin. They are all asking him for help. Their burning gazes finally persuade Jin to take action.
"They prepared a surprise party for you today." 
"But why?" 
"Because today is your birthday, Himari."
Himari and Jin both stare at him for a moment. Jin can see Himari's eyes drop a little. Before he can read the emotions swimming in her eyes, Himari's eyes widen, as if she has finally realized something.
"Oh! You're right!" Himari said in surprise. "How can I forget it?"
"Right?! That is your own birthday!" Vincent said.
"I think I became too busy with my work so my birthday kind of slipped off my mind." Himari tried to explain.
"But at least you remember it now." Lily added.
In the midst of Vincent and Lily's animated conversation with Himari regarding the surprise party they planned for her, Jin and Gael unintentionally locked eyes. Not only did Gael notice it, but so did Lester and Dice. Lester just raises his brow, while Dice looks at Himari for a moment before shrugging his shoulders. Jin remains silent as he watches Himari happily converse with Vincent and Lily.
"I now understand why Ace gave me diamond earrings as a gift earlier. I assumed he gave me the gift because I had recently joined your little group." Himari said.
"I can always give you a welcome gift. Just ask for it." Lester smugly said. 
"Okay then! Just give a huge box of chocolates next time!"
"Sure."
"And oh! Is this also the reason why you suddenly asked me to have lunch with you?"
"It was Lily's idea." Lester replied. "Lily told me to distract you for a while so she could plan your birthday party."
"And she made a good decision." Gael added. "You should see how Vincent and Dice filled the entire penthouse with balloons earlier."
"It was a good idea, okay?" Vincent defended himself. "Those balloons have meanings and purpose."
"Yeah? But it was still fucking childish."
"Shut up, you smelly detective."
"You brat!"
Himari turns to face her boyfriend, ignoring the artist and detective arguing beside her.
"How about you, Jin? Did you also helped them to prepare this party for me?" 
"Tch. Why should I help them?" 
"Hmm... Because today is your girlfriend's birthday?" 
"Or perhaps Jin has prepared another surprise for you." Gael said lazily, prompting Jin's fierce glare.
"! I did not know you are such a romantic lover, Jin. I am now starting to think highly of you." Dice said. 
"I am so proud of you, my friend. You finally know how to treat a woman right." Vincent added and wiped away his imaginary tears. 
"Yeah, that's right. You did not know much effort we—H-Hey! We are just joking! Don't pull your gun from your pocket!"
"Y-Yeah! We are just— Ah! Himari, help us!"
When Jin put his hand in his pocket, the two crackheads fled. Vincent and Dice assume that he will draw his gun and point it at them as usual. Instead, Jin is simply retrieving his phone from his pocket and sending a message to Bern.
