Chapter 22

The sunlight streaming in through the window irritated her slightly. Himari lazily turns her body to the edge of the bed to avoid the irritating sunlight and intends to continue sleeping. She tightly closes her eyes shut, but her sense of hearing is actively listening to her surroundings.
Himari can hear the gurgling sound of water running nearby. The sound of it frustrates her. She can not help but silently reprimand that person in her sleepy mind.
When Himari tries to open her eyes, her vision becomes slightly blurry, so she blinks a few more times. Her body is now awake, but her mind is still a little groggy. After staring at the simple lampshade for a long time, her brain appears to finally recognize that something is wrong.
Himari's last memories include Jin saving her from those garbage men, having a drink with her savior, asking him a lot of silly questions, and... nothing. Himari can not recall what she did after that. Because of this, she can not help but sigh deeply.
She had done it again.

Drinking until she is inebriated and doing extraordinary things that she will not remember the next day. If Akito finds out, Himari will undoubtedly receive another harsh reprimand. Not only that, but he will also inform her grandfather. It is fine if Akito only tells her Grandpa, but Himari was confident that Mr. Tyronne, Akito's father, would scold her if the matter reached him.

Sigh.
Himari lifts her body slightly and looks around. She finds herself in an unfamiliar yet luxurious room. Blue and gray wallpaper covers the walls in the room. It is beautifully decorated, and the furnishings indicate that the owner is a man. She had just noticed that the color of the bed where she was lying was also gray. Himari has a good idea who owns this room, but she wants to double-check.
A moment later, the sound of running water stops. Then Himari notices the sound of a door opening. She slowly turns her head to look at the person who will exit the bathroom. A man walks out of the bathroom, a white towel wrapped around his waist. He is holding an extra towel and drying his wet hair.
'So it was really Jin.’

Jin notices Himari staring at him, so he stops walking and stares back. He furrows his brow, and she responds by lifting her right brow slightly. When he does not say anything, Himari smiles and pulls the blanket up to her shoulders.
When Himari confirms that she is in a safe place, she buries herself under the soft and cold blanket and prepares to sleep again. Her head is hurting slightly. Himari is aware that she has a mild hangover from the previous night's event. Perhaps she should stop by her restaurant and ask the chef to prepare her a bowl of hot soup later.
"Hey."
Himari closes her eyes and continues to ignore him. She is not interested in what Jin has to say at the moment. He keeps trying to get Himari's attention, but she ignores him.
"Himari."
And now he is calling her name. Himari noticed that his voice had softened a little this time. She can not ignore it anymore because it bothers her slightly. Is this just her imagination? She can also not seem to fall asleep again. Jin's voice is way too distracting.
"...What is it?" Himari asked softly, turning her head.
Jin is now standing next to the bed where Himari is lying. His damp hair is stuck to his forehead, and he is still wearing nothing but the towel wrapped around his waist. He is staring at Himari's face before dropping his gaze naturally. Himari follows his gaze and notices that she is only wearing her black lacy underwear underneath the blanket.
"Have you seen enough?" Himari teased. Jin quickly moves his gaze away from her body, making her laugh.
"Want to ask me a question?" Himari asked.
"Do you recall what happened last night?"
"Not exactly." She responded honestly. "Did anything major happen?"
Jin looks at her again. Then he sighs and moves closer to her. Jin grabs the blanket that is already sliding off of Himari's body and securely wraps it around her, leaving only her head exposed. Jin's action confuses Himari.
"Did anything happen between us last night?" Himari mischievously inquired.
Jin flinches slightly in response to her question. She lifts her gaze, only to notice Jin staring at her. His face is expressionless as usual, but Himari can tell his eyes are boring holes in her face.
They continue their little staring contest until Himari's phone on the side table rings. Jin is the first person to withdraw.
"Answer it. Your phone is ringing all night." He said that, straightening up, and headed for his walk-in closet. Himari simply shrugs her shoulders and notices Akito's name on the phone screen.
She presses the red button to unlock her phone. Himari sees a hundred missed calls from Akito, a few missed calls from her business clients, and two missed calls from Ace. It is a miracle her phone did not die from the hundreds of missed calls she got, but a sudden pop-up notification reminds Himari to charge it. She gets out of bed and removes the blanket Jin had wrapped around her. Himari quickly texted Akito that she would call him later before looking for a charger in Jin's room.
As she opens each drawer one by one, Himari hears several footsteps behind her. When Himari turns her head, Jin's face is slightly shocked. He is now dressed in a simple white shirt and black pants. She ignores his reaction and continues to search for a charger.
“While you are staying at my house, could you please behave yourself better?" Himari overheard him say. His tone had a hint of irritation.
"I am not walking around your room completely naked, correct?" Himari replied without looking at him. "I am still in my underwear."
"You!"
Himari does not care what he is thinking right now. Himari finally finds what she is looking for after opening the fourth drawer. She quickly plugged the charger into the electrical outlet and charged her phone. When Himari turns her body to face Jin, he throws something at her, which she immediately catches with her left hand. Himari gives Jin a brief glance before smiling at him.
Himari unbuttons the white shirt Jin threw at her and casually wears it. When Himari faces Jin again, his brow furrows as usual, and she can not help but laugh at the sight. She walks towards him, tiptoes, and pokes his forehead.
"You will ruin your handsome face if you continue to scowl like that." Himari said in a sweet tone.
Jin lightly smacks Himari's hand before exiting the bedroom. She did not mind his actions. In fact, she finds it very cute. Himari looks around the room for a while before following him downstairs.
