"Nothing happened between us." "Stop being defensive. I am just stating the fact." He said before letting out a chuckle. "So what truly happened?" Jin is well aware that Lester will not stop asking him questions until he answers them. So Jin just gives Lester a quick rundown of what happened last night. After laughing at his misfortune last night, Lester pats him on the shoulder. "Should I believe Vincent when he claims Himari is your type?" "You know I hate unpredictable women." "Oh? But that is not what I am seeing right now. You will never accept that so-called foolish deal if you truly dislike Himari's personality." "..." "You are attracted to Himari." "Tch. I was just calculating the benefits the Dragons would receive from the Tigers when I accepted it." "Yeah, sure. Let us put it that way." Lester said. "Wanna bet with me again?" Jin did not respond right away, but it appears that Lester is not asking for his approval as he usually does. "Since Himari is now your girlfriend, why do not you try to shape her into your ideal woman?" "What exactly do you mean?" "She is good in many aspects, except for her attitude and personality, which you find lacking. Her past, her notoriety, her skills, and her beauty. If you can change her way of thinking, she will be the ideal girl for you." Jin cast a quick glance at Lester before removing his hand from his shoulder. He almost forgot that he was speaking with a jerk named Lester Lim. He was seizing everyone based on their value or potential utility to him. "But seeing you now, I had serious doubts." "So in other words?" "I bet you will never be able to make that woman give in to you." "I do not see why I should bet with you." "Oh? I had no idea Jin Takishima, whom I would known for years, is afraid of losing a bet with me.” "What are you going to bet this time?" Lester smirks at him, as if he already won the game. "The Quintel City properties you had your eye on last month. I want you to hand it over to me. Jin had chosen these properties as the best location for the Dragons' business transactions. He spent a significant amount of time determining whether it was a suitable location for business transactions. And Lester asked for it as if it were a trivial matter. "What if you lose?" "I will give up the properties I discovered in Finrel City for you." The prizes are simply too tempting. Lester personally selected these properties. He had already viewed those properties because he intended to build another resort there. Jin does not see anything wrong with it. However, gambling with Lester is too risky. He understands that Lester will never let him win easily, which is why he was betting on Himari. "What? You do not want to gamble with me? I suppose you could never handle a woman like her, huh?" Jin is irritated by Lester's provocations toward him. He intends to ignore him at first, but Lester is too persistent in getting what he wants. Jin eventually agreed to play with his game. It is also a good idea to prove him wrong. "It is a pleasure to do business with you, Mr. Takishima." Lester said. "I hope you can settle the papers for those properties soon and give them to me without any issues." "Stop talking about things that will never happen, Mr. Lim." Jin said. "I hope you will find it easy to say goodbye to your new properties." "I hope you are prepared for this time, Jin." When the elevator doors open, Lester is the first to step out. Lester, hand in pocket, turns his head to face Jin. "Is it actually possible for a Dragon to tame a Tigress? I am expecting a positive outcome from our game."
-/-/- "Boss, we have already secured the area." Bern said this after receiving a call from one of their men. "And their boss?" "Alive and captured." "Good. Keep him alive in the meantime. I will deal with him later." Jin looks at the old warehouse and notices a dozen boxes piled inside. The boxes contain a massive amount of firearms that were illegally shipped into the city. Aside from that, a recently delivered sack of drugs was discovered in the same warehouse. These were the works of their minor rival in this line of business. When one of Jin's men informed him that a suspicious truck was driving every night at a warehouse near the port, Jin immediately asked Bern to investigate. Bern informed his boss that their adversary was attempting to secure a small number of firearms. When Jin asked him why, Bern said that they wanted to deal with the Dragons. Jin cannot help but snort at their stupidity. A massive amount of firearms is insufficient to bring down the White Dragons. Before leaving the warehouse, Jin handed Bern the gun he had just used and left him with some instructions. He walk straight to his car and starts its engine. Jin has just finished his business, so there is no reason for him to stay here. He chose to drive his car back to the hotel. Lester called Jin earlier to inform him of the time their auction would begin. Lester decided to have another auction this week. Aside from Lester, each manager will bring something to sell at the auction. The person who sells their item for a higher price will receive half of the proceeds from tonight's auction. He also mentioned that Vincent created another painting and that Dice plans to sell a rare artifact he discovered after completing his mission. Jin was also informed that Gael intends to sell a diary that he secretly confiscated during one of their police operations. Jin, for his part, will simply add a random jewel to their auction list. He told Jack to find him a suitable item for the auction, and he brought Jin a red jewel. Jack even boasted that his boss could sell it for a high price and thus win their bet. Jin is not interested in winning their bet, so it does not matter whether he can sell this for a high price or not. And finally, Jin has no idea what Himari will put up for auction. Speaking of Himari, Jin has not seen her in three weeks. Jin did not notice her absence right away. But when Dice pointed it out once, Jin realized that he was going about his daily life without encountering any strange mishaps these days. Vincent attempted to ask Jin if he knew anything about that woman, to which Jin pointed his gun at his forehead. While they were discussing this, Lester attempted to call Himari, but the operator informed him that she was out of coverage. Jin is confident that nothing is wrong with the Tigers or that woman because he has not received any negative news from them. Lester gave Jin a meaningful look but chose to ignore it. That jerk was simply trying to remind Jin of their deal.
