"Are you going to do a pregnancy test today? I can't drive you because I have work. But I'll pick you up when it's done." It was the message Axel sent Blair a few hours ago. He will pick up Blair from the hospital before going to the pack. Full moon night. Axel left the office early. He had to go to the village and visit his pack. The place is in a forest area about an hour's drive from his beach house. Axel always returns to the pack and hangs out with his flock every moon night. They would hunt, party, and celebrate the weddings of as many comrades as they had. Axel's cell phone rang as he was about to leave the office. "Alpha, can you come earlier to the pack? There's a problem here. And only you can solve it.” Axel checked the time on his phone. He still had about an hour before picking up Blair from the hospital. Axel ended the call. Initially, he planned to have dinner with Blair after picking her up from the hospital before going to the pack. Because of that urgent call, Axel had to postpone picking up Blair. Axel arrives at a werewolf village. The place looks like a typical countryside. It's just that the residents who live are dominated by werewolves. Most of them are active in the city. They return to the village only on full moon nights and certain days. Axel came to a bar when it was getting late. The bar looks crowded, filled with visitors from several different packs. The beta, who previously contacted Axel by phone, greeted him at the bar's entrance. "What is this?" asked Axel. "She's waiting for you inside. We found her very drunk. But there was no one she allowed near. We can't do anything without you, Alpha." Axel walked into the bar. He headed to one corner of the room occupied by Clarissa Jordan. The woman was drunk alone, and looked disorganized. Clarissa would drink straight from the bottle. From behind, Axel grabbed the bottle and sat beside Clarissa. "What is this? They say you scream, make noise, and keep calling my name." Clarissa smiled contentedly. With difficulty, she raised her head and turned to Axel. "There isn't anything. I just missed you, Axel." After smiling at Axel, Clarissa suddenly burst into tears. "Axel, I feel like I'm going to die. I've never been this miserable in my life. I really am stupid, huh?" Axel took a deep breath. "Loving someone is stupid." Clarissa smiled sinisterly as she looked down at her wine bottle. "Love someone? I love you, Axel Barney! Not loving other people. You know that!" "You don't love me, Clarissa," Axel said firmly. "You only want me." Clarissa looked at Axel pleadingly. "Because I love you, I want you! You look handsome today, Axel." Axel almost drank the glass of wine that was in front of him. His phone vibrates. He put the glass back down and checked his cell phone. When Axel answered the phone, Blair screamed angrily. "Where are you? Until when will I wait? If you want to avoid picking me up, tell me from the start so I will get started. I can go home by myself by taxi." "No, wait for me there! I will come soon. Find a place to eat while waiting for my arrival." Clarissa suddenly reached out and clung to Axel's body. She didn't want to be left out. "Is that your wife? Can't you stay here a little longer? It's a full moon night. It's time for us to party and have fun. She's only human. She is in a different class from us!" she said. Axel grew sick of Clarissa's words, which offended him, and insulted and belittled Blair. Axel really hardened his heart. He released Clarissa from his arms. "You have no right to judge Blair. She is the girl I chose. She is my chosen mate." "I'm destinated mate for you, Axel! We were fated by the Moon Goddess from the moment we were born." "It's fated, but that doesn't mean I don't have a choice. I'm sorry, Clarissa. I'll have someone drive you home. I have to see Blair right now." Axel walked away, leaving Clarissa alone. Suddenly Clarissa screamed and fell to the floor. Everyone stared in surprise at Clarissa. Axel turned around. She actually groaned and was secretly frustrated. Everyone stared coldly at him. Axel is seen as a bad guy who is irresponsible by leaving his girlfriend, who was drunk at the bar alone. "Axel, please don't go!" Clarissa asked as she lay down on the floor. People started arriving and crowding around her. There was no way Axel would let that girl be humiliated. However, they had a good relationship as a friend and work partners in the past. Blair was standing in front of the hospital lobby. She kept her eyes on the bustling streets around her. Whenever a car approached, Blair looked up and hoped it was Axel. "He asked me to go ahead and find a nearby place to eat. And so far, he hasn't come either. I'll go find the most expensive restaurant and order the tastiest food there! Let him know!" Axel escorted Clarissa back to Jordan's pack. The Jordan Pack is the best choice right now. It's closer than the bar. The members of Pack Jordan noticed the arrival of Axel, who was carrying Clarissa, who was drunk in his arms. Axel just drove Clarissa to the front of her family's house. "Come in," said Axel. "I can only lead you up here." Standing unsteadily and talking aimlessly, Clarissa waved at Axel. "Thank you for your time tonight. You really are a good friend Axel." Blair felt so tired from being kept waiting. She didn't even go to the restaurant like she told Axel. Blair prefers to return home by taxi. As soon as they arrived at the beach house, it was dark. From there, Blair could see that Axel had not returned either. Upset and disappointed, Blair went to her room to sleep. Blair heard Axel's car screeching into the driveway as she sank into the bed. The girl quickly stood up and watched him from the bedroom window on the second floor. "You really came back, huh? This late? Soon it will even be morning. You asked me to wait at the nearest hospital or restaurant? Seriously! He really wanted to play me." Axel entered the house in a hurry. He saw the place was empty. Axel went up to the second floor and stood in front of Blair's tightly closed and dark room. "Blair? Are you back? Blair?" Blair quickly went to bed and covered herself with the blanket. She didn't answer, nor did she leave the room. She was in the bathroom, Blair is brushing her teeth. Axel came in, too, wanting to brush his teeth. "What time did you come home last night?" asked Axel. "What do you care?" Blair replied curtly. "Did you wait long?" "Are you crazy? Do you think I'm stupid? What am I waiting for you for?" "So, how did your pregnancy check go?" Blair is annoyed. She rinsed her mouth, wiped her mouth, and said to Axel curtly. "Why do you ask so many questions? Mind your own business!" "What?" Axel frowned. He did not understand the change in Blair's demeanour, which was so angry and emotional. Blair left the bathroom. Axel closed the door and started to take off his clothes. In front of the bathroom, Blair stopped and grunted in annoyance. She was still angry with Axel's attitude that he didn't even apologize for making her wait so long. Blair turned and walked into the bathroom without knocking. "Hey! What is this?" shouted Axel while covering his naked body because Blair just walked in without permission.
