89| My Ex-Wife Kicked Me Out
Axel returned to the beach house and ran in a hurry. He opened the unlocked door of the house and shouted the name Blair.
"Blair! Blair, Where are you?"
Axel couldn't find Blair anywhere.
"Angelica? This is Papa!"
Axel ran to the second floor.
"Angelie? Where are you? Blair?"
The house is entirely empty. Axel couldn't find Blair and his daughter was everywhere.
Axel was desperate to go to the Blair’s room. The place was also empty. He looked into another room and saw a nursery. Axel's steps slowed when he saw lots of baby equipment there.
Axel knelt in front of the cot. He picked up one of his daughter's little knit shoes and kissed it through tears.
"Where are you guys? Did something bad happen to Angelie? Where should I look for you guys?"
Axel didn't know where else to go. He went back out and stood in the yard restlessly. He dropped his backpack on the ground and stood there in despair.
Blair just came back from the beach, holding Angelie in her arms. She walked casually while chatting with her little baby.
Blair was surprised when she saw Axel standing with his back to her in the yard.
At that time, Axel immediately realized the presence-Blair. Axel suddenly turned around through his sense of smell and instinct and looked at Blair, who was carrying her daughter, standing in the path.
Blair just froze there while continuing to hug her daughter. Her eyes were sparkling with tears. How she missed Axel so much. The point, even just looking at his face from a distance, is enough to make Blair wanted to cry as loud as possible right then and there.
Axel stepped closer. He reached out, wanting to touch Angelie. He was so amazed to see his daughter, who was so adorable in Blair’s arms. Six months never saw each other. That little girl is growing up so fast.
"Angelie..." Axel whispered in a hoarse voice holding back homesickness.
Blair immediately dismissed Axel's hand and kept him away from the princess.
Blair rushed into the house. She was afraid to see Axel. Blair put the baby on the bed and let Axel wait.
When he first panicked and entered the house, Axel overlooked the situation and circumstances. He was too focused on looking at Blair and his daughter.
When he returns to the house and pays attention to all the interiors, Axel realizes that many things have changed. Especially the wedding photos they previously displayed in the living room have now been replaced with other paintings.
Axel looked sad and disappointed.
Blair came back with a glass of drink for Axel. The woman still tried to keep her distance from Axel by showing a cold attitude.
They sit in the living room, having many memories of their time together. Then, Axel realized that Blair was no longer wearing her wedding ring.
"Have you taken off your ring?" Axel frowned.
"What?" asked Blair coldly. "When did you get here?"
Axel again pretended to show the arrogant attitude he always showed in front of Blair, to cover up his nervousness and embarrassment.
"I came a while ago. I look for you everywhere. How can you take a sick baby out of the house in this windy weather?"
"What?" Blair was surprised by Axel's accusation.
"I heard our daughter is sick."
"Our daughter?" Blair offended.
"Why did you even take her for a beach walk? Don't you take good care of her? Don't you give her nutritious food? I told you to give her everything, whatever she needs. I will definitely meet her needs, whatever you need!"
Blair clenched her fists tightly and clenched her jaw.
"Stop! Suddenly you came and lectured me about properly caring for a baby?"
Axel realized his mistake and excessive attitude.
"Where have you been all this time?" shouted Blair while holding tightness in her chest.
Axel pursed his lips like a child. "To the forest. I'm back to doing things I previously left off. I give seminars in cities and campaigns to save endangered animals out there. I reflected on many things and matured myself."
Blair squint. "I heard you had an accident and got injured. You even refused to be taken to the hospital in town. But you seem fine."
"What?" Axel was even more surprised. "Alright, I'm starting to understand the situation. So people started making up lies. They tell you that I had an accident and all that. They also told me that Angelie was sick and needed treatment, and so on. I understand now. This is all just a ploy by people to get me back here."
"Then you will continue to run away like this?" Blair is angry.
"What?" Axel needed clarification.
"Stop being childish and return to your responsibilities as a leader. How many people do you think you have troubled because of your runaway and childish nature like that?"
"You don't need to worry. I'll take care of it."
Blair getting mad. "You're asking me to calm down? But you are like this? Then what are you doing here?"
"So what if I come here? This is my home. Whenever I want to go home, it's up to me!" Axel said to cover up his guilt.
"What did you say?"
Axel stared Blair confidently. "I've decided I'm going to come back and live here. From now on, I won't run away anymore. I will be here and back as a householder. I will be here to always look after and watch over my daughter and you as her mother."
Blair almost laughed at that.
Five minutes later, Blair kicked the man out of her house. Blair tightly locked the door from the inside and let Axel scream while knocking frantically on the door.
"Blair! Blair, open the door! Blair! You can't separate a father from his daughter!"
Blair even opened the door. Axel looked so relieved that he might be accepted. But Axel guessed wrong. Blair opened the door only to toss Axel's backpack left inside. After throwing the backpack away, Blair locked the door again.
Axel banged on the door even louder and shouted louder.
Blair came again and opened the door. She glared sharply at Axel.
"Blair, What are you doing? Why are you pushing me away like this?"
"Stop whining, Axel! And don't be loud! Your screams will only startle Angelie. I don't want her to get scared and stressed out by your voice."
Blair will close the door again and speak briefly to Axel. "Don't knock anymore and scream, or I'll–"
Axel withdrew Blair’s hand and took her in a hug. "Or what?"
