Chapter 87

I began to laugh as I remembered how scared Drake was when he heard me say that I was a vampire.
"Chloe, I know your spirit can hear me," I said.
"I feel like I have betrayed your trust. I couldn't harm them because they are my human family." I continued asking her spirit to forgive me, and after some hours, I slept off.
Some minutes later, I woke up and touched my stomach as it began to rumble.
"I would love to get them when they are not aware," I said to myself then got up the floor and unsealed the door.
Having unsealed the door, I tried getting out but couldn't as the sun shooed my eyes. I walked back inside and sealed it back.
"I am hungry," I said sitting on the floor. I thought of what was going to happen to me if I got weak.
Chloe is no longer with me, so who was going to stay strong for me to get me some blood so that I become strong?
"I don't want to get weak here," I said to myself. I looked up and smiled.
"Chloe!" I called. "You won't want your best friend to die in here."
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door of the place and smiled.
"Thank you, Chloe, for preparing a meal," I said and I rose up.
I unsealed the door and waited for the person who was at the door to come in, but the person didn't, so I walked to the place where the rays of the sun couldn't hit me.
"Miss, why did you send the animals away from their home to wander around the street?" The person by the door asked.
"Also if I may ask, why do you find joy in staying in a place meant for animals?" I laughed hard as I saw the person talk then used my hand to control him inside.
"You've finished ranting?" I asked, sealing the door closed.
The man moved backward with fear.
"Don't hurt me?" He moving backward.
"You really don't want to be hurt?" I asked and he nodded. I smiled and shook my head.
"Not again," I said.
"I no longer have pity on humans," I said.
He was about to speak but couldn't as I tore his flesh open and drank his blood.
I unsealed the door and closed my eyes after feasting on his blood. I threw his body out and sealed the door back. I walked back to the place where I always stay and looked up.
"Thank you for the meal, Chloe," I said and smiled.
"They do not know who they are going to have to deal with," I said and laughed.
Some hours later, I heard a van drive but didn't care. People started knocking on the door but I didn't move.
"You should come out now or we are going to burn up this place." I heard the people say. I closed my eyes and unsealed the door.
I walked out to see the multitude. I growled but they seemed not to move. I shook my head as I thought about what was going to happen to me, then went on my knees, folding my hands. The people looked at me with shock.
"Please let me be." I pleaded.
Some nodded while some ignored.
"Alright, we've come to a decision." A man said. "We are going to give you a chance to stay here till next morning."
"We should burn her here as she won't be able to kill us again." A man said and a large amount of people hailed him.
"We shouldn't take law into our hands immediately." A man from the crowd said and they all nodded.
"Alright, we will be leaving you alone here till next morning but if you are still in here by the time we come back here, we are going to burn you in this place." A man said and they all left.
I walked back inside and sealed the door. I took my sit on the floor and looked up.
"Chloe!" I called.
"They want to send me away from here.
They threatened to burn me just as they did to you. No, I won't allow them as my mission of taking revenge isn't complete. I would rather leave this place for another place so I can continue my revenge." I said shaking my head. I got up from the floor.
"I will have to drink blood this evening before going away," I said and smiled. I sat back and smiled and waited till evening time. I scoffed as I remembered the words Uncle Bob spoke to me.
"Why would he care for me when he despised me when I was young?" I asked myself.
I remembered the name which I saw on the grave, "Sophia Ryan."
It was clear that she was related to him with how he brought flowers to her grave that day. Could Drake's mother be dead? He was playing with his dad with no sign of his mother around. Why would she leave like that? I didn't have time to ask him this question. I waved my head and laughed at my thought.
"I didn't kill him so I will still have time to ask him when next I see him," I said to myself and laughed. I smiled feeling relaxed.
"I miss you, Chloe," I said looking up.
The evening, they came, and I unsealed the door. I walked for a few kilometers after sealing the door. A man pointed his flashlight on my face and I bent down. It was obvious that he was looking out for me.
I bent my head but he caught a glimpse of me and started running to me.
I ran back, and on reaching the place I had been living in, I unsealed it and decided to go back into the place but thought against it. I looked at the place and then at the man who was running to get me. The man had almost gotten close to me but I lifted my into the air and laughed as the man kept looking for where I was.
